Jacksonville Daily News
The Daily News is an award winning newspaper daily newspaper in Jacksonville, North Carolina. It has served the city of Jacksonville, Onslow County and its surrounding areas since 1953. The Daily News is published by Irvine, California-based Freedom Communications.
It was a broadsheet-format daily until June 1, 2009, when it and two sister dailies, the New Bern, North Carolina Sun Journal (New Bern) and the Kinston, North Carolina Free Press converted to a berliner-style format. Since the format change all three papers are laid out and are published in Jacksonville.
