Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion
Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as CSD G6), or in articles for deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other XfD processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process.
This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions on the template or on your talk page.
Note that requests for undeletion is not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.
To contest deletions that have have already been discussed (in particular, at Articles for deletion), or that are likely to be controversial, please make a request at Wikipedia:Deletion review instead. |

Argo Group
reasoning -Medeia (talk) 14:41, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
Dear Admin,
I am currently doing my internship and I am trying to place an article on Argo Group Int., which is an insurance company. The reason is not advertising, but to have the company itself listed on this online Encyclopedia which contains information about almost everything. I have also seen many others companies and their profile, such as one of the biggest companies Axa profile as well. I limited the description in order to avoid advertisement, and if it will be deleted again, could anyone tell me why? Or what should I write, how should I write it? My source was linked as well.. Im looking forward to hearing from you, Thank you a lot for your help,
Orsi Balog

- I don't think there was enough there to really be of use to you. All you'd written before was an infobox, and most of the article text was calling the template rather than filling out its parameters. If you want to write a better version, go ahead, you don't need any permission here. Cheers. lifebaka++ 22:42, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

- Not done - As announced at the top of the page, this process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially and has no applicability to articles deleted after any deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Celoxis, it cannot be undeleted through this process. Nevertheless, if you believe that the consensus found at the discussion was in error, or that significant new information has come to light since the deletion, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Mailer Diablo (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:21, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

person does exist -Al-Musta'rib (talk) 21:18, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
Reason for deletion: person was claimed to be nonexistent.
I would like to point out that this author does exist, has had a lot of his books published, and even has been the subject of a doctoral thesis (see Vom Fundamentalisten zum Atheisten, by Jürgen Wasella). Another way to verify his existence and notability is to search for عبد ألله القصيمي on the international bookshop http://www.neelwafurat.com : one will find that they sell quite a lot of his books.
Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. Gabbe (talk) 08:59, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
Andy Kubiszewski
Reasoning for deletion was stated that Andy Kubiszewksi had not proven to have done enough credible work outside of the band Stabbing Westward. Andy had scored music for 5 films and over 25 TV series on numerous networks. He has also written the theme songs on 7 of those TV shows and has licensed songs in at least 60 projects including TV commercials, TV shows, films and video games. He is currently the composer on the show entitled Storage Wars on Discovery, as well as Ice Road Truckers, Ax Men and Swords. Storage Wars is the highest rated show currently airing on cable TV and he will also be scoring the spin off show Storage Wars Dallas. He also recently won 3 BMI Awards for his high volume of reported songs and score currently airing on television. -Dannycooper89 (talk) 01:23, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

A Broom With A View
I am requesting assistance in being able to communicate with the editor(s) who removed three of my pages (listed below). I am a fairly new author and am still learning proper Wiki protocol.
RE: 14:21, 21 September 2011 Fram (talk | contribs) deleted "A Broom With A View (album)" (G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement: http://halloweencarols.com/music/a_broom_with_a_view)

I would like to be able to restore the three pages that were deleted, supposedly for copyright infringement (not sure what the unambiguous means).
I was not contacted about the removal, and just happened upon it tonight when I tried to enter on and update them. I was not given a chance to make any adjustments, defend, or understand the reasoning for the removal. I thought that I had followed formats from other artist album pages.
The graphics for the albums were cleared through wikimedia ahead of time, and the material used was referenced and verifiable. I will be happy to modify the text or, if there is any need for to obtain copyright permission from the artist, Kristen Lawrence, to satisfy any copyright questions. Please let me know what I need to do.
Thank you for your assistance. -Idaho50 (talk) 05:55, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

NewsWire NZ
Take a look at the website yourselves, guys. NewsWire NZ is a legitimate news outlet produced by the largest journalism school in New Zealand, the Whitiriea NZ Media Training Centre in Wellington, NZ. If you Google NewsWire NZ you'll see it consistently ranks at the top of the page. Take a look: www.NewsWire.co.nz We are averaging just under 400,000 page visits a year. Our students have posted nearly 2000 news packages on the site since it launched in 2008. Mainstream media in New Zealand regularly take content from the site to use it. Given what has happened with my first attempt to create a presence on Wikipedia, I'm guessing our web-savvy students will be taking a keen interest in how this pans out. How can anyone delete the profile without any communication with me? Can this please be undeleted? Thanks, greetz, Adjiedj Bakas -Privacy63 (talk) 11:01, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

A New Type of VTOL Aircraft
Please help me to understand why this short article was deleted.
Although it is a new idea, it has some background:
1) I made a presentation of this new aircraft concept to the January 2010 meeting of the American Helicopter society in San Francisco. Unfortunately, proceedings are not published.
2) A patent was been applied for on this new aircraft concept two years ago, but now days patent applications take a long time to produce results; I have not yet gotten the first response back from the patent office.
3) A toy used to exist which consisted of a stick with a propeller at each end and a rubber band between the propellers to turn the propellers in opposite directions. When the rubber band was wound up and the toy was released it flew at high speed. In a sense I could say that there have been many thousands of prototypes made.
So this is not an unknown or irrational concept.
This was my second submission of the same article. I tried to make the article more like reporting than soap-boxing. Did I fail in this effort? If so, how could I have said things to make them sound more objective?
Yes, the article I submitted was quite short. I could work to make it much longer if that is the main problem. Would that help?
I saw something about too many caps in the title. I thought that "VTOL" was well understood by most people as meaning "Vertical Take Off and Landing". Was I mistaken? Would any of the phrases below be better titles? If not, please make some suggestions.
a) The Lawrence Tiltplane
b) The Tiltplane
c) A New Vertical Take Off and Landing Aircraft

- Not done. The business of an encyclopedia is to summarise material already published in reliable sources. It is not a noticeboard for publication of anything new. One of Wikipedia's fundamental policies is Wikipedia:No original research, which includes: "If no reliable third-party sources can be found on a topic, Wikipedia should not have an article about it. If you discover something new, Wikipedia is not the place to premiere such a discovery." Also, in writing about your own discovery you have, from our point of view, a WP:Conflict of interest: Wikipedia is not to be used for advertising or promotion of any kind. - The reason for deletion at the previous AfD was that the project had not started filming and so failed WP:NFF; that was over a year ago, but I do not see in the references for this new article any reliable source confirming that filming has started - all the accessible references are dated July, 2010, and IMDb says only that the project is in development. Also I note this edit summary saying "looks like the Michael Bay project is dead." I will ask the article author if he has any up to date sources. JohnCD (talk) 17:15, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
David Wrone
David Wrone is cited by four articles, one article even dedicates a paragraph to him:
(1) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UWSP_Albertson_Center_for_Learning_Resources
(2) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_F._Kennedy_assassination_conspiracy_theories
- Section: Other published theories
- David Wrone's The Zapruder Film (2003) concludes that the shot that killed JFK came from in front of the limousine, and that JFK's throat and back wounds were caused by an in-and-through shot originating from the grassy knoll. Three shots were fired from three different angles, none of them from Lee Harvey Oswald's window at the Texas School Book Depository. Wrone is a professor of history (emeritus) at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. ISBN 0-7006-1291-2.
(3) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_Posner
(4) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Sagatelyan
So I think an article on David Wrone - which I entered to Wikipedia - would be relevant and interesting for readers, especially for people interested in one (of only two!) historians who broke The Silence of the Historians (David W. Mantik, 2000) about the JFK assassinations.
The dates about him I had gotten from himself by e-mail after I asked him for that. This, I think, should not be a reason to delete the article. Please restore the article. ~~ -Thalimed (talk) 20:16, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
- Done, but please read the Wikipedia:Verifiability policy:
"any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source... The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth—whether readers can check that material in Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether editors think it is true."
- Articles about living persons are automatically deleted after ten days unless referenced. I have restored this, and reset the timer, so that you have ten days to provide references. I'm afraid information "gotten from himself by e-mail" is not good enough: it must already have been published in a reliable source. JohnCD (talk) 22:07, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you JohnDC for restoring the article. I entered the reference "Spartacus Schoolnet: David Wrone", where the essential parts of the information can be found. I found it there myself and then contacted David Wrone for some more information. Will that be OK? Thalimed (talk) 11:01, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
- P.S. (Meanwhile I sent my e-mail correspondence with David Wrone to Spartacus Schoolnet, so their article about David Wrone will soon be more complete, I think.) Thalimed (talk) 11:01, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
- That is enough, just, to remove the BLPprod notice, and I have taken it off; but if Spartacus Schoolnet simply publish what you send them they cannot be considered a reliable source for Wikipedia's purposes, which implies some degree of editorial control and fact-checking. What is really needed is someone independent of Wrone writing about him. JohnCD (talk) 21:59, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
- P.S. (Meanwhile I sent my e-mail correspondence with David Wrone to Spartacus Schoolnet, so their article about David Wrone will soon be more complete, I think.) Thalimed (talk) 11:01, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, no, Spartacus Schoolnet will not simply publish what I sent them, that's not what they do. - I added references of two independent well-known JFK researchers (one of them even a historian). I hope this will suffice for the moment, won't it? --Thalimed (talk) 22:32, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

The discussion raised in Pabulo Henrique Rampelotto Page by Headbomb is clearly moved by his personal feelings about the Journal of Cosmology and related authors. In fact, the discussion just torn around is the journal is scientific or not.
The same discussion was raised by Headbomb in the Journal Page. As expected, Headbomb` personal and vulgar comments have been denied by wiki community, and now, the page remains as an encyclopedic paper must be. But even today, this guy insists with his ignorant attacks (See Journal of Cosmology Page Discussion).
I just hope this kind of personal feelings do not happen again here and in others pages.

- Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles concerning music. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning musicians or music groups will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject. Prod-ed as not notable, but a very recognisable face on British TV. WP:ENT defines notability as "has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions". Kenya Kongonis Cricket Club
reasoning -Kimemia Maina (talk) 16:36, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
I believe the criteria by which this article was declared 'not notable' are plainly scandalous. If being one of the oldest institutions in Kenyan cricket and running, by a country mile, the most productive youth set up in Kenyan cricket doesn't merit notability by Wikipedia then arguably there is not a single facet of Kenyan cricket that is notable enough to have a wikipedia article.
- Not done - As announced at the top of the page, this process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially and has no applicability to articles deleted after any deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kenya Kongonis Cricket Club, it cannot be undeleted through this process. Nevertheless, if you believe that the consensus found at the discussion was in error, or that significant new information has come to light since the deletion, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user TParis (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. January (talk) 17:11, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
Monsoon Group of Las Vegas
this article was created about a Las Vegas nightlife group that has significant relevance and sited 3rd party sources, though I respect an administrator's reasoning as self promotional, ANY article sounds or appears promotional, these articles and my future article on Las Vegas nightlife groups will sound or appear promotional as they are for wiki's intended purpose is to be INFORMATIONAL. - Not done and will not be done Nothing encyclopedic about the company, or the entry. This is not a business directroy (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 20:37, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
BWilkins what separates a company or persons' accomplishments and achievements form 'puffery'? In a newly advancing industry such as nightlife there are some significant milestones that are significant such as the unique organization and services that the company in question represents. I assume that you care less, but there is a difference from the company in the article than other 'nightlife management groups'. In fact it's the only concise nightlife group in the US. Which is the nightlife industry is significant and deems encyclopedic and important to those within the industry. Things such as 'the first' of it's kind or developments within a certain industry should have no issues. I understand and respect that there is much exploitation and abuse as I have read it myself. And it is only by discussion like these and by members of the Wiki community, which I am new to, can police and monitor misuse. That being said, I will continue to argue this point and share the significance of the company's development and it's significance to the nightclub and bar and nightlife industry. Although I do not compare this company to the likes of Dupont, but when a company or individual develops or revolutionizes a product or an industry I feel that is significant. Having the opportunity to edit the Monsoon Group article and be more direct and pointing out the significance and feats may to some be puffery or deemed as self promotional or promotional in general. From my understanding this is a discussion and I respect your point of view, but I also must defend my article and future ones to come. I am new and novice, at best, and will continue to contribute with these subjects amongst others. My point is that when something is new or unfamiliar to you it is not to be discounted to your opinion, yes I understand that new bands and businesses are here for the exact reasons that you accuse my article of being, but it is the significance that the business has to the industry and the fact it is heavily involved in many notable aspects within the industry is why it is encyclopedic. If I were writing about a new engine that had a unique technology or system, i may not understand the significance, but I would read into the new business as promotional etc. Wiki BioInfo (talk) 22:09, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
- That's not the issue here. An article could be about something notable, and if it were written like a commercial admins would *still* delete it as promotional. The problem isn't that it's new, it's the tone in which the article was written (which is why, just going by whatever I can deduce from the logs as I am not an admin, I pointed you at the NPOV policies).
- To be on Wikipedia (which is, after all, an encyclopedia), an article has to fulfill three main criteria:
- Is the subject demonstrably notable through reliable sources?
- Is the article written from an unbiased viewpoint?
- Does the article report what the sources say?
- By default, most G11 candidates I have seen fail all three (They only reference their own website, include a fair amount of puffery, and they're written in prose that induces diabetes on sight).
- Please note that a G11 deletion does not mean the article is forbidden from appearing on Wikipedia. All it means is that the article needs to be completely rewritten to comply with Wikipedia policies, and that can easily be done by going through WP:Articles for creation and asking for help on IRC ( #wikipedia-en-help on freenode; see WP:IRC for more information). —Jeremy v^_^v Components:V S M 22:22, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

- Not done and will not be done. The page consisted only of a header and an external link, meeting speedy criterion A1. Restoring it would not help you write an actual article.

I am requesting the undeletion of my page Chris 'TEK' O'Ryan. I have read WP:N, WP:V, WP:RS and WP:BIO and this article should be undeleted for the following reasons:
He is a 2008 grammy winner with an actual statue - not just certificate of contribution to a grammy winning album. He was nominated again in 2010 in the Album of the year category. He is at the top of his field and is regularly requested as a studio engineer by the the biggest artists in the world including Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Mary J. Blige and Jennifer Lopez. He is endorsed by two of the biggest music-industry software companies (Waves and Celemony: see interviews). In 2011 he was shown on international television recording contestants in the recording studio on American Idol season 10.

Have Proper Copyright Permission -Idaho50 (talk) 16:39, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
In reviewing the reasons for deletion of the three music albums, I would like to have the pages restored for the following reasons: I followed formats from other artist album pages, cited sources that are verifiable, and used Wikimedia photos. Everything on the pages was given WITH PERMISSION from the Artist, with NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT.
Please let me know what I need to do to resolve this issue. If a copy of the original pages could be made available to me, I would be happy to work to reassure editors of my following proper procedures, or modify them, if needed.
The three deleted pages are: RE: 14:21, 21 September 2011 Fram (talk | contribs) deleted "A Broom With A View (album)" (G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement: http://halloweencarols.com/music/a_broom_with_a_view)

Timothy Ray West
arbitrary decision wrong -Timwest1156 (talk) 03:45, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
First, this article was done to facilitate the adding of Mr. West to the list of actors
from Kansas, which is a fact. He has acted, in a speaking role in a movie about Autism
called "The Sunset Sky". It is documented on the Internet Movie Database, and a few
other sites. I have found no criteria stating he had to have acted in more than one film
or show to qualify. It would seem that the rules on here leave a very wide area for
interpretation. I submit that if this wide latitude in deleting is going to be used then it
should also be used for allowing what some may consider questionable additions, unless
an administrator has definite evidence to the contrary of what is being posted. This
instance is not even close since evidence was provided as requested.
The movie shows some of the troubles people with Autism and their relatives deal with and how they overcome them. It is not a documentary or Biographical film but it does depict some of the actual issues they have.
I originally tried to just add the name “Timothy Ray West” to the Kansas Actors List but was informed an article was needed. So I made one and it was “Speedy Deleted”.
Anyway, there is no reason for this page to not be posted.
Thank you!
