Invitation to the April Wikification Drive
Hi there! I thought you might be interested in WikiProject Wikify's April Wikification Backlog Elimination Drive. We'll be trying to reduce the backlog size by over 1,300 articles and we need your help! Hard-working participants in the drive will receive awards for their contributions, including a brand new one for the single largest wikified article! All you have to do is put an asterisk next to the largest article you've wikified, and coordinators will check its wordcount after the drive ends. If you have a spare moment, please join and wikify an article or tell your friends. Thanks! Note: The drive started April 1, and you can sign up anytime! |

Arb com case
It is not pointless. Your support, and the support of others, means a lot to me, whether the outcome changes or not. Firstly because support is good, and cheering, and so forth. But secondly, and just as importantly, because it keeps me believing that I am sane. So thank you. Rich Farmbrough, 00:14, 8 May 2012 (UTC).

- I just wanted to offer my congratulations! But while I'm here, I thought I would mention that the use of superscripted ordinals does not conform to WP:MOSNUM#Typography. Furthermore, ordinal dates are not among the acceptable date formats. Thanks for your attention. Cheers, --Ohconfucius ¡digame! 05:48, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

Hello
Hi, I noticed you reverted me twice... the reasons for my contributions are:
- 1st, List of municipalities in Spain by population is an orphan article...
- 2nd, List of municipalities in Spain by population is too short for being regarded as an article.
- 3rd, info is already covered on list of municipalities in Spain
- 4th, it is a duplicate version of List of municipalities in Spain
Why are you reverting me? Thanks. 85.51.171.98 (talk) 19:57, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, sorry, I made a mistake, and thought you were just removing content. When I realised this I reverted myself, and restored all your contributions. Sorry :/ --Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 20:01, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
- No worries, thanks for your quick reply =) 85.51.171.98 (talk) 20:05, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. Have you considered creating an account? It makes it less likely that incompetent people like me will make that sort of mistake, and you get quite a lot of other stuff, like being able to edit more pages, or create a "Watchlist", where you can see all the edits to your favourite articles.--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 20:08, 12 May 2012 (UTC)

User talk:Kairportflier#Section removal
Thanks for this message you've just posted. For the sake of Wikipedia, I'm concerned about this user's manner of handling perceived vandalism -- please see my and his/her recent talk pages' history. 213.246.95.152 (talk) 20:43, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
- Of course, I'm happy to help. More to follow.--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 20:44, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
- I posted a simple message that said if vandalism (WHICH IT IS) continues this user will be blocked and this user has decided to turn this into some crazy conversation. I took standard procedure. Kairportflier (talk) 20:45, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
- I'm afraid I have to disagree. Could you provide examples of what you believe is vandalism, because I have examined the IP's contributions and have not found any.--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 20:53, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
- Sure! Check the about 10 airlines the IP abbreviated International. At wiki:Airline we had a long conversation about the info box on airline pages and found that now raping was all that was needed and this user went around that which is found to be vandalism. Kairportflier (talk) 20:56, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
- I am not the only other user who found these edits vandalism, go to Alaska Airlines and you can see another active wiki:airline user reverted his similar edits. Kairportflier (talk) 20:58, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

- Yeah, I realized just now that I had forgotten..... however, the IP appears to be editing in good faith, and "Vandalism is any edit delibrately designed to harm the 'pedia", so it does not count as vandalism.--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 21:03, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
- I don't see how these edits were good faith but I am willing to change my ways in the future if it can get this whole this closed, I was just warning the user and did not think that it would be such a big deal. Kairportflier (talk) 21:06, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
- The IP did not intend to be disruptive, so the edits are in "good faith". They may have been against consensus, in which case they should of been reverted, and the IP notified, but not labelled as vandalism. However, I should also apologise, I went to far as well, I'll remove it from AN.--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 21:11, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

Ha haa =] Sue me. Thank you so much for the signature Gilderien (<-- i can spell it right) and if you ever need anything then just ask. Thanks Jenova20 10:40, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Hey, I can't complain, I stole my userpage header off Worm :) Thanks for getting my name right, I never anticipated it would cause so much confusion, and ok, I'll remember that :-) --Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 10:44, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Any time. What is a Gilderien anyway? Is it a name? Thanks Jenova20 11:27, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Well, I chose it because its the username I used on my first wiki, Inheriwiki, where I'm a sysop, and its a character from the series, they've got their own article on that wiki.--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 11:37, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Where did you get your username from? :) --Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 11:38, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- I was an extreme Final Fantasy fan a while back (i have the tattoo to prove it) and my favourite was FF7, where the storyline was very engaging. I ended up acquiring the name Jenova, which was basically the mother of a semi-god and stuck my age on the end. I've stuck with it even though i'm now 23 =P Jenova20 13:00, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Nice...I still remember the original, Final Fantasy Adventure, on Game Boy brick, although that probably says more about the technological advancement of my family rather than my age. :) --Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 13:07, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- I remember getting a Gameboy for christmas =] It was a big chunky yellow brick, brilliant at the time, ancient now though. The Final Fantasy series has moved on a lot since then. Jenova20 13:11, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Whoa whoa whoa. Final Fantasy Adventure wasn't the original, that was the first in the series of Mana games... Final Fantasy (video game) was the first Final Fantasy... back in 1987, years before the Gameboy was even released. WormTT(talk) 13:16, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- (edit conflict)Well, I haven't played any of the more recent ones, I just kept with the brick until the sound stopped working and the screen fell off :/ Well, at least we now have internet...--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 13:18, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Maybe it was rereleased Worm? Thanks Jenova20 13:30, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Not to the best of my knowledge. It's a different style of game too, FFA was a spin off in the style of the Zelda games. It was the prequel to the Secret of Mana, if you remember that. FF was released on the gameboy advance, and on many other systems, but the original gameboy would have struggled. WormTT(talk) 13:34, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Hmm...it might mave been a Game Boy advance, I guess...--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 13:37, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Around 2004? Your memory can't be that good ;) WormTT(talk) 13:43, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- By 2004 I'd memorised my first 50 digits of pi :) Well, I was given the game by my parents, who'd bought it quite a bit before for a Boston-Waco AA flight, so it was pretty much in perfect condition when I got it.--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 13:46, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- My point was that it was more likely to be Final Fantasy Adventures, the spin off on the original gameboy (or gameboy colour or even gameboy advance), some time in the 90s than the re-release of Final Fantasy in 2004. Not that this matters at all... And 50 digits of pi, impressive. I never got beyond 7... didn't really need to. WormTT(talk) 13:49, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, right, 1990s would fit...and well, it was a friendly competition with my uncle, and it went a bit over the top, though, as with only 39 you can calculate the width of the observable universe to the diameter of a hydrogen atom, I can safely say that its just another useless fact that's going to stick around in my head for ever.--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 13:53, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

- Around 2004? Your memory can't be that good ;) WormTT(talk) 13:43, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Hmm...it might mave been a Game Boy advance, I guess...--Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 13:37, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Nice...I still remember the original, Final Fantasy Adventure, on Game Boy brick, although that probably says more about the technological advancement of my family rather than my age. :) --Gilderien Chat|List of good deeds 13:07, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Any time. What is a Gilderien anyway? Is it a name? Thanks Jenova20 11:27, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
Media Balance
I'm sorry if this is sound offensive, but there has been an AFD (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Media_balance) in favor of a redirection, and I've been trying to implement that redirect. This page does not supposed to still exist, that's why I did that redirect. This page still exist after 2 years, despite an AFD that says it should be redirected. There is already a page that deals with "media balance" (Objecitvity (journalism)), for crying out loud, please let this redirect stay.--SilentScope001 (talk) 17:51, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
