Im Jin-Ah (born September 14, 1991), known by her stage name Nana, is a South Korean singer, model, visualist, and rapper of the group After School. She is also a member of its subgroups A.S. Red and Orange Caramel, and the super idol group Dazzling Red.[2]

Biography

Nana was born on September 14, 1991. She is part of the 91'[jargon] line and is close friends with Key from Shinee and Nicole. Before her debut as a member of After School in 2009 she was a participant in the 2009 Asia Pacific Super Model Contest and she walked the runway for the ‘Girls Award‘ event in Japan.[3] Nana is a licensed makeup artist and also has a membership at the Makeup Artists Association.[4]

Career

In 2010, Nana, along with After School members Raina and Lizzy formed a sub-unit called Orange Caramel. They released two mini-albums: "Magic Girl"[5] and "A~ing♡".[6] Nana has then gone on to record a solo song, which is included on the "Shanghai Romance" single, titled "Close Your Eyes". She is also a member of After School's temporary sub-unit A.S. Red together with Kahi, Uee, and Jungah and promoted "In The Night Sky" before debuting in Japan.[better source needed] In 2012, Nana had a solo song included on the After School's Flashback maxi-single, titled "Eyeline".[better source needed]

In 2012 Nana was a runway model for the Tokyo Girls Collection 2012 Spring/Summer.[7]

After School's Nana became the main model for Korea's biggest diet brand, Juvis. This is her first solo CF[expand acronym] as an After School member.[8]

In 2012, she joined K-pop stars Hyorin, Hyuna, Hyoseong, Nicole to form a super group called Dazzling Red. They performed a charity single called "This Person".[2]

Personal life

She is currently attending Seoul Institute of the Arts (SeoulArts), formally known as Seoul Art College, alongside miss A's Jia and Fei[9]
