Anastasia Katya Breezy "Tasie" Dhanraj,[3] (born 22 December 1990 in Brighton)[1][2] better known by her stage name Tasie Lawrence,[4] is an English actress who is known for her character Mara Jaffray on Nickelodeon's international show House of Anubis.
Early life
Lawrence was born on 22 December 1990 in Brighton, England,[1][2] to an English mother and a Indo-Guyanese father. She has one sister, Tasha Dhanraj, a writer and a student at The University of Oxford.[5][6] She also attended Varndean College.[7]
Career
Lawrence is a singer/songwriter and is a former member of the band WooWoos.
In 2011, Lawrence landed a main cast role in Nickelodeon's new drama/soap opera series House of Anubis.[8]
In August 2013, it was announced on the industry website, Deadline, that Lawrence had been cast in a lead role in an upcoming HBO comedy pilot, written by Diallo Riddle and Bashir Salahuddin.[9]
On February 1, 2014, Lawrence's House of Anubis co-star Alex Sawyer, released on his VEVO page, the music video for his debut single Relapse, featuring Lawrence. The single itself was released in late 2013.
