  • Comment: After removing a rather large number of sources that either had nothing to do with Borbor, did not actually support the text, or were "okay, they use his name, but for what purpose?" sources, there are rather large sections that aren't properly referenced. There are still a bunch of references that barely verify the sentences they're supposed to support, but at this point I'm just going to let you fix them and/or replace them with better sources.
One type of problematic reference in particular is the "talks about Borbor" references (e.g. [1]. These types of references (and there are a few) don't actually verify anything, other than the fact that he was being spoken about. Please find references that actually (in the text on the page) support the statements in the draft. Primefac (talk) 23:45, 15 April 2017 (UTC)

Dariush Borbor

Dariush Borbor (Persian "داریوش بوربور", born in Tehran, Iran, April 28, 1934), is an Iranian-French multi faceted architect, urban planner, designer, sculptor, painter, scholar and writer.[1][2][3] In 1963, he established his own firm under the name of Borbor Consulting Architects, Engineers, City Planners.[4] As early as 1965, he was described by Anthony Krafft [de] the well-known Swiss architectural critic, as "one of the most innovative architects who is perhaps on the way of creating a Persian architectural style of the 20th century";[5]in 1972 he was dubbed by Michel Ragon the prominent French architectural critic as "the architect in search of a modern Iranian architectural style".[6] In 1976, he set up Sphere Iran, a consortium of four specialist consulting firms, and proposed a comprehensive National Environmental Master plan for Iran.[7] In 1992, he created the Research Institute and Library of Iranian Studies (RILIS) where he is the director.[8] Borbor is widely regarded as one of the avant-garde architects of the modern movement in Iran;[9][10] also a pioneer of modern urban planning,[11]named by some as "father of modern urban planning",[12][13][14][15] a key figure in the promotion and creation of the High Urban Planning Council (1966, Persian شورای عالی شهرسازی).[16][17] He has also been the winner of many competitions and the recipient of several international prizes and awards, including the Gold Mercury from Italy,[18] 50 Outstanding Architects of the World from the Second Belgrade Triennial of World Architecture,[19] and the Pahlavi Royal Award.[20]

At the age of twelve he moved to the United Kingdom for his secondary education, after which he obtained his General Certificate of Education from University of Cambridge (1952), a Bachelor of Architecture (1958) and a Master of Civic Design (1959) both from the University of Liverpool.[22] He then went to specialize on architecture of hot dry regions at the University of Geneva (1959) under the direction of the French architect and urban planner Eugène Beaudouin [fr].[23]
