Samumed, LLC is a private biopharmaceutical company based in San Diego, California. It was founded in 2008 by Osman Kibar. [1]

Samumed’s products in development target novel components of the Wnt signaling pathway.[2][3][4] The company focuses on treatments for osteoarthritis,[2][3][4][1][5] androgenetic alopecia,[2][3][4][1] and certain types of cancer.[2][3] It has programs in other diseases, such as degenerative disc disease,[2][3][4] tendinopathy,[3] and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.[2][4] Samumed’s osteoarthritis program is its most advanced.[3][5]
