Is it in any way related to 'Hector'? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.169.40.7 (talk) 09:24, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the research done for the name "Aitor" is a little too vague.

Aitor is a Basque name deriving from AITA ( FATHER ) and ORRA ( principal, superior ), Hence the fact that Aitor ends in R makes the fact more viable; therefore the meaning of the name would be closer to father of all fathers, or principal/superior father.

ONA in Basque means good which clearly is not in the name AITOR.

Aitor was also the 1st Basque name based through old Basque mythology. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aitor.porro (talkcontribs) 14:42, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
