chinese sources for Surangama Sutra

Hi Alfredo. I copied your talk on SudoGhosts talkpage to Talk:Shurangama Sutra, and added a line. Friendly regards, Joshua Jonathan (talk) 07:21, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Delbert E. Wong, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Army Air Corps (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:02, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Zimbu has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

OER inquiry

Hi Alfredo ougaowen, I'm sending you this message because you're one of about 300 users who have recently edited an article in the umbrella category of open educational resources (OER) (or open education). In evaluating several projects we've been working on (e.g. the WIKISOO course and WikiProject Open), my colleague Pete Forsyth and I have wondered who chooses to edit OER-related articles and why. Regardless of whether you've taken the WIKISOO course yourself - and/or never even heard the term OER before - we'd be extremely grateful for your participation in this brief, anonymous survey before 27 April. No personal data is being collected. If you have any ideas or questions, please get in touch. My talk page awaits. Thanks for your support! - Sara FB (talk) 20:35, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'm not the sock puppetry of Nipponese Dog Calvero.

Decline reason:

This seems to be checkuser confirmed; you'll need to specifically address the findings here with something more that a simple denial. Kuru (talk) 16:28, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'm a editor from Taiwan, most of time working at chinese wiki. one IP user 220.129.236.70 leave a message in my talk page: 請擴充大久保麻梨子的en:Mariko Okubo條目(please help me to expand the english page Mariko Okubo, my english is no well.) I just check the page and translate some content from chinese wiki page. I don't know what's happen now, could you explain this for my by simple english?

Accept reason:

Several of the other accounts creating the article Mariko Okubo were fake accounts created by an editor who has been blocked before. Your account was checked and uses the same IP as the other accounts. Do you know any of the other editors there? Is this a shared connections? Kuru (talk) 16:48, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Re. No, I have no idea about this, I just think there has someone need help. But this user Nipponese Dog Calvero's Sock puppetry, some name of them are the chinese wiki editor, maybe he is a Taiwanese also. I would discuss this with the Administrator at chinese wiki, maybe they would know something about this guy. --Alfredo ougaowen (talk) 16:55, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I see. Let me look at this a bit more. Could you tell me what attracted you to the Mariko Okubo article so quickly after it was created? Kuru (talk) 17:36, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have been received some requests, asking me to create or extend the article to keep this article alive. I always do, but this time I believe it's a trap. --Alfredo ougaowen (talk) 01:45, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That seems odd; who asked you? Kuru (talk) 03:16, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
IP user 220.129.236.7 , I don't know who is he. --Alfredo ougaowen (talk) 03:20, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I see now; as you said in your unblock request above. I just didn't understand. I have sent an e-mail to the checkuser who confirmed the association of this account and I am awaiting a response. Thank you. Kuru (talk) 04:22, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Okay I ran through the results one more time, and after comparing against a more extensive record I have decided to clear and unblock your account. Apologies for the false positive, but be aware that my colleagues might review your account one more time to check my results. - Mailer Diablo 04:30, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for you help. I have ask the dministrator at zh-wiki, Lanwi1 and Outlookxp, to verify that. They confirm I'm not the Sock. If you need something more to verfiy, please tell me. Thanks. --Alfredo ougaowen (talk) 05:53, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[opinion]:@Mike V:@Kuru:@Mailer diablo: Hello, I am also one of the persons the IP 220.129.236.70 left messages concerning the article Mariko Okubo, both zh-wiki and en-wiki versions. As the targeted user of that ip was blocked, he sometimes requested me to edit/revise articles. I thus know him relatively well. I also had some experience on sockpuppet investigation. I know patterns of both zh:user:Alfredo ougaowen and that person for years. I can make sure they are absolutely different and had no genuine connection. I don't think his message was a trap but the user check did trouble Alfredo ougaowen. --Wildcursive (talk) 21:00, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Mountain dogs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
