The result of the move request was: Moved to Buddhists in the United States military - as RightCowLeftCoast points out, we should spell out "United States", and "military" should not be capitalised, this title isn't a proper noun. Otherwise, however, the move has broad support. (non-admin closure) — Amakuru (talk) 16:45, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
Military history of Buddhist Americans → Buddhists in the US Military – The name was changed by the closing administrator, UtherSRG per the AfD. No consensus to change article back to original name. RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 04:52, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- Support: sensible request, "Buddhist Americans" sounds very awkward and violates the "naturalness" requirement per WP:NC. Article is not just about the history of Buddhists in the US Military but also their current presence so current title is misleading. Also satisfies WP:CONCISE. Also recommend Military history of Sikh Americans → Sikhs in the US Military for the same reasons. Ebonelm (talk) 12:33, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- Support, the CRN is US army/navy/AF/military?...... GregKaye 14:18, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- support. the naming template "Military history of..." in wikipedia is traditionally for countries and places, not for ethnic groups. Also, the new title more correctly describes the scope: I can imagine Buddhist Americans fighting for the independence of Tibet :-) Staszek Lem (talk) 18:04, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- Comment, should US be abbreviated? Should it be United States military?--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 20:49, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
