[edit]I am sorry to say that your edits on Template:Netherlands Antilles elections are completely wrong. The Antilles were governed by the Estates of the Netherlands Antilles. The separate island each had there own Island Council, not only St. Maarten and Aruba. Could you please fix that? The Banner talk 08:36, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- @The Banner: What do you mean? I never wrote that Aruba and Sint Maarten were the only islands with an island council. Articles about the island council elections on the other islands may simply be lacking. ― Ætoms [talk] 21:47, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- The situation is more complex then you state here. But for starters, it is way better to give every island its own section. And rename the general elections in such a way that it makes clear that voting was for the Estates of the Netherlands Antilles and not for the Dutch parliament. The Dutch Parliament (lower house) gets votes from the BES-islands. For the Senate there is Electoral colleges for the Senate. All parts are still part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Banner talk 22:02, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- @The Banner: You are aware that the Netherlands Antilles no longer exist? When they still existed, general elections were held to elect the members of the Estates of the Netherlands Antilles. Now that they have been dissolved, Curaçao and Sint Maarten have their own general elections and the BES Islands vote for the Dutch general elections (see Template:Dutch elections). I still don't understand what you think was wrong with my edits, could you please clarify? ― Ætoms [talk] 22:12, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- (e/c) Sorry to butt in, but each island already has its own template, which lists its individual island council elections (these are linked at the foot of the template). The 'Island Council' row currently links to a set of newly-created DAB pages that Ætoms is proposing to merge the existing election articles for each island into (which would mean there are no longer any separate articles for different islands, and no individual rows would be needed anyway). I have changed 'General election' to 'Estates election' though, although I did wonder (as Ætoms has confirmed) whether the BES islands voted in Dutch general elections prior to the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles, so 'General election' would have also been correct. A tag has been placed on Category:Island council elections in the Netherlands Antilles requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! Requested move
[edit]Sorry for reverting more of your edits, but it would be far better to use the WP:RM process than try to bundle the moves into the (already exremeley large) request at WP:E&R. Also, the 'disputed title' tags tend to be used for WP:NPOV matters rather than situations like this. You can bundle multiple requests into one RM though.
I'd also suggest that the title should be 'Aruban Island Council election', not 'Aruban island council election', as the 'Island Council' refers to a specific body being elected, like 1919 Austrian Constituent Assembly election or 2017 Marshallese Constitutional Convention election. Cheers, Number 57 20:43, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Number 57: I don't think it would be appropriate to use the RM process, as this would lead to two separate discussions on the same topic. Why do you think starting a discussion at RM before a consensus is reached about the proposed article mergers is more appropriate? I can remove the addition to my proposal, but then I'll just boldly move the 4 stand-alone election articles once there is a consensus to merge. Thought it'd be better to be transparent about what my proposal would entail...
- Regarding the capitalization of "island council": normally it is not capitalized, just like "municipal council" and "water board", but I guess when talking about the island council of Bonaire, Saba or Sint Eustatius specifically, it should indeed be capitalized. Thanks! Best, ― Ætoms [talk] 21:28, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- What do you mean two separate discussions? The move request is unrelated to the merger request, so they would naturally be two separate discussions (hence why I thought it was a bad idea to try and combine them, given that the merger discussion is already very large in terms of what it's asking). Number 57 21:31, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Number 57: Sorry, but I really don't get what you want me to do. You want consistency in the article names right? Then how can an RM discussion lead to a decision to move 4 articles, while the merger discussion is still pending? Or do you mean that I should request for all articles to be moved? ― Ætoms [talk] 22:02, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- The latter, although probably best to wait until the merge discussion ends, as it may make it irrelevant for many of them. Number 57 14:35, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Number 57: Alright, I've withdrawn the addition to my proposal. I'll make sure to submit a move request once the merge discussion has ended. ― Ætoms [talk] 14:58, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

2021 Dutch curfew riots
[edit]An update of Article 2021 Dutch curfew riots is needed. The riots in the Netherlands began on January 17, six days before the total escalation. I sent sources (references). A new escalation followed in March. I guess you saw the riots in The Hague on March 14 and in Amsterdam on March 20. It may be necessary to change the title of the article in the Anti-Covid protests in the Netherlands. — Baba Mica (talk) 19:20, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Baba Mica: The article 2021 Dutch curfew riots is about a series of riots that are known as the avondklokrellen in Dutch. These riots only lasted for about a week and were characterized by widespread vandalism, arson and looting throughout the country. The smaller protests on 17 January and on 14 and 20 March are not referred to as avondklokrellen in the media. That's why I think it would be better to create a separate article about anti-lockdown protests in the Netherlands in general. ― Ætoms [talk] 19:40, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

Template kabinet
Dajasj (talk) 20:56, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
- Lijkt me een goed idee! Template:Fourth Rutte cabinet bestaat echter al, dus misschien Template:Members of the fourth Rutte cabinet gebruiken?
Dajasj (talk) 22:53, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

Country codes in chart columns
[edit]Hi there. I noticed that on several Eurovision artists' articles you changed the initialism for Lithuania from LIT to the country code LTU. LIT is also a valid ISO country code for Lithuania (even if not as common as LTU), but even if it wasn't, country initialisms do not always match country codes (and to the best of my knowledge, no guideline says they have to either). For example, CH and CHE are the official ISO country codes for Switzerland but that is not used in chart columns on the English Wikipedia as most English-speaking readers would not recognise this at a glance or know the meaning, even if Switzerland were to be linked. My point is we don't always follow the official ISO country code so it doesn't need to be changed. Thanks. Ss112 08:48, 20 May 2022 (UTC)

- My apologies for not leaving an edit summary. Per documentation, the
image
parameter in the infobox should contain a single image (just the image name). The Multiple image template also renders the images as a thumbnail, which should not be used in infoboxes according to WP:IBI. You could upload a montage of the images to Commons and add it to the infobox as a single image. Otherwise, it is better to leave the images out of the infobox. — Ætoms [talk] 16:43, 2 March 2023 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:Water Natuurlijk logo.svg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Water Natuurlijk logo.svg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
