Summit Speakers 2024

Once again we welcome experts from around the world to participate in the INHOPE Summit 2024. Our hybrid conference will run over two days. The second day is aimed at the illegal production, distribution and consumption of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We will follow the path of financial transactions that take place as we break down the demand and supply of CSAM worldwide.

Speaker Biographies

Samantha Woolfe, INHOPE
Samantha is the Partnerships and Expansion Lead at INHOPE. Expanding the network of hotlines hand-in-hand with INHOPE’s partners in industry, law enforcement, other civil society organisations and global institutions, in 2020 she has sometimes been at meetings on four continents in one week. At INHOPE for eight years and fighting for the online safety and protection of children for 15, she has worked at Insafe, EUN, ICMEC, advised various Ministries of Justice and FOSI, promoting digital citizenship and the protection of children from potentially harmful material online, prior to which she was a lobbyist for Political Intelligence's London office.


Carolina Christofoletti, TRM Labs
Carolina Christofoletti is a threat intelligence researcher at TRM Labs, the blockchain intelligence firm. At TRM, she specialises in CSAM threats and specifically the use of cryptocurrencies and blockchain-based services to enable illicit activity. Christofoletti brings a wealth of experience to this role, including serving as the Head of CSAM Research with the IGCAC Working Group at the University of Sao Paulo as well as Researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies at the University of Sao Paulo.


Leonardo Real, Tether
Leonardo Real is the Chief Compliance Officer for Tether. In this role, Leonardo is tasked with building, maintaining and overseeing Tether’s compliance program, including the company’s customer identification program, transaction monitoring and investigations, regulatory reporting, risk assessment and sanctions program. Leonardo is also the Chair of the ACAMS Today Europe editorial board.


Federico Paesano, Crystal Intelligence
Former Investigator with the Italian Financial Police, Federico worked as Senior Financial Investigations Specialist conducting financial investigations on cryptocurrencies for the Basel Institute of Governance for 14 years. In 2014, he founded the Working Group on Criminal Finances and Cryptocurrencies, a collaboration between the Basel Institute, Europol and Interpol. He is part of the Digital Asset Task Force, a committee to The Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime and is part of different expert groups, including the European Banking Authority.


Erin Fracolli, Binance
Erin Fracolli leads Binance’s Special Investigations team, which is responsible for proactive research and collaboration with law enforcement on a wide variety of financial crimes topics and security threats. She has worked at Binance in a variety of investigations roles since 2019, and holds an M.A. in International Peace and Conflict resolution from the American University’s School of International Service and a B.A. in International Relations and French from the University of California, Davis.


Lynette Owens, Trend Micro
Lynette Owens is VP of Global Consumer Marketing & Education at Trend Micro, delivering innovative solutions and programs to consumers worldwide. She serves on the board of the National Association for Media Literacy Education and advisory boards for INHOPE and the Identity Theft Resource Center. She holds a B.S. from Boston College and an M.B.A from the University of California at Berkeley.


Sasha Plotnikova, Chainalysis
Sasha Plotnikova is a cyber threat intelligence analyst at Chainalysis. She leads Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) research and collection strategy. Prior to joining Chainalysis, Sasha was an intelligence analyst and Russian linguist at the National Cyber Forensics and Training Alliance (NCFTA). She was born in Ukraine and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh.


Tarana Baghirova, OSCE
Tarana Baghirova leads the OSCE's (Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe) portfolio on financial investigations into human trafficking where she supports public and private sector to establish human trafficking dedicated partnership and develop guidance. She also leads policy work on trafficking for purpose of criminal exploitation with key focuses on nexus with drugs and terrorism.


Sean Litton, Tech Coalition
Sean Litton is the Executive Director of the Tech Coalition (TC), the organization leading the tech industry's fight against online sexual abuse and exploitation of children with over 30 member tech companies committed to the fight. Sean has worked on the front line of child protection for over 20 years, serving as the Global President of the International Justice Mission before joining the TC in 2021. Passionately committed to protecting children, Sean focuses his and the Tech Coalition's efforts on achieving tangible results to reduce the prevalence of abuse and safeguard children looking to enjoy the same online tools and services we all use to connect, share, and learn.


Dr. Fred Langford
Dr. Fred Langford is the Director of Trust & Safety Technology at the UK Communications Regulator Ofcom. He is a Visiting Professor at the University of Suffolk and serves on the advisory boards of REPHRAIN (Bristol University) and INHOPE. Fred is also a Non-Exec Director Games Ratings Authority, Trustee of the Lucy Faithful Foundation and Chair of the Global Online Regulators Network – Technical Workstream.


Denton Howard, INHOPE
Denton is the Executive Director at INHOPE. He has worked with the INHOPE network since 2005 in all aspects of hotline operations including network development, technology development, and outreach and training. By his own confession, Denton is a hotline evangelist with a mission to combat online Child Sexual Abuse. He has a BA in Business & Marketing from the University of South Wales, and a Postgrad in Computer Science from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.
