Phalacrocorax (Graece φαλακρος 'calvus, sine supercilio' + κοραξ 'corvus') est genus avium quae piscibus vescuntur familiae Phalacrocoracidarum ordinis Suliformium.

Genus Phalacrocorax a Maturino Iacobo Brisson zoologo Francico anno 1760 introductum est, Phalacrocorace carbone typo generis.[1][2][3]

Generi sunt viginti duae species descriptae, inter quas est una species quae saeculo undevicensimo exstincta facta est.[4]

Studium phylogeneticum moleculare anno 2014 prolatum dixit genus Phalacrocoracem non monophyleticum esse, et gregem quinque specierum tum in genus digestarum artius cum speciebus generis Leucocarbonis cognatum esse. Cui gregi erant Phalacrocorax magellanicus, Phalacrocorax auritus, Phalacrocorax brasilianus, Phalacrocorax harrisi, et Phalacrocorax aristotelis.[6]
