Trump Card (Japanese: きりふだ Trump Card) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation IV.
Effect
This move effect may be in need of research. Reason:
|
Trump Card inflicts damage and bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the target is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly.
Trump Card's power depends on the move's remaining PP after use, powering up when its PP is lower. Trump Card's power is calculated as follows:
Remaining PP | Power |
---|---|
4+ | 40 |
3 | 50 |
2 | 60 |
1 | 80 |
0 | 200 |
Trump Card takes into account the PP lost from Pressure. However, Trump Card does not interact with some PP-affecting moves (Eerie Spell and G-Max Depletion) which are not available in the same games.
When Trump Card is called by another move such as Metronome or Assist, it will instead use the PP of that move with the same chart applying.
Generation VIII onwards
Trump Card cannot be selected in a battle.

Trivia
- Most of Trump Card's animations depict it as slicing the opponent. This may be because its Japanese name, read in kanji, contains 切り kiri, meaning "cut".
