കോൺവുൾവുലേസീ സസ്യകുടുംബത്തിലെ ഐപോമിയ ജനുസിലെ ഒരു വള്ളിച്ചെടിയാണ് പുലിച്ചുവടി. (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Ipomoea pes-tigridis). ഇലകൾക്കു പുലിയുടെ പാദത്തിന്റെ ആകൃതിയാണെന്നുതോന്നും[1] ഏഷ്യ, ആഫ്രിക്ക, ആസ്ത്രേലിയ, പല പസഫിക് ദ്വീപുകൾ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം ഇതുകണ്ടുവരുന്നു. 0-400 മീറ്റർ ഉയരങ്ങളിൽ പാതയോരത്തും കടൽത്തീരത്തുമെല്ലാം പുലിച്ചുവടി വളരുന്നു.

3–10 ft (0.91–3.05 m) വരെ നീളത്തിൽ വളരുന്ന ഏകവർഷിയാണ് ഈ വള്ളിച്ചെടി. ഹൃദയാകാരത്തിലുള്ള ഇലകൾ 1–4 in (25–102 mm) വലിപ്പം വയ്ക്കുന്നവയും ഇലയുടെ അരികിൽ 9-19 വരെ ലോബുകൾ ഉള്ളവയുമാണ്. പൂക്കൾ 1–2 in (25–51 mm) നീളം വയ്ക്കുന്നു.[2]
