@Tgr: I have been logged out again between 12:00 and 15:00 UTC today. User name: Doc_Taxon
Sun, Oct 27
@Tgr: Okay and just now, approx. 10 minutes ago, I have been logged out on all browsers – but only Commons and Wikidata and meta (all the wikimedia.org and wikidata.org project pages), but not at all the wikipedia.org project pages. And I get no GlobalAuth login opening Wikidata and Commons.
@Thryduulf : Was that just random, or does the logout always occur so frequently for you?
@Tgr: As with Thryduulf, I have repeatedly experienced that the logout mostly (but not always) occurred when switching browsers or changing between browser and mobile. I think this might be an important point in investigating the cause.

@everybody: If you experience a logout, please provide us with the approximate timestamp including the time zone and your Wikipedia username. Thank you
@Mondo: is Mondo your Wikipedia account username too?
@Tgr: I, user:Doc_Taxon, have been logged out approximately between 10 and 14:51 UTC, 2024-10-24 , without clicking log out or doing anything similar.

@Tgr It is extremely annoying when the logging out happens to working bots, here user:CactusBot of user:Cactus26 . The fact that the bot continues to edit under an IP is often very problematic. I think the solution of this task should be given higher priority and include sprints.

Yes, it's a global problem. I got these problems with frwiki, nlwiki, dewiki, enwiki, pflwiki and more, but also commonswiki, wikidatawiki, metawiki and test2wiki. I use several browsers like Edge, Chromium and Firefox mobile and desktop on Windows 10 and Windows 11. It appears that the type of browser, operating system, or type of wiki doesn't matter at all. I always check the "stay logged in" option ...

Something must have happened or been adjusted, the bug is no longer reproducible.
Shouldn't I be centrally logged in when opening a moswiki page, if I am already logged in at dewiki or enwiki?
Oct 2 2024
Because it increases the amount of rework required more and more, I raise the priority to High.

Oh, my mistake, sorry.
Sorry, but I reopened this task.

@AntiCompositeNumber: Can you say something to this? Maybe has this been a one time only error? I didn't tried it once more

When we change local css we should take care that the problem is only Vector 2022 and not Vector Legacy, so I guess the really better next step is calling @hnowlan as expert.
@thiemowmde: Kriegst Du das hin, den Code so zu fixen, indem man das hovering overlay einfach um position 40,0 pixel verschiebt?
Can you shift the hovering overlay to (40,0) pixels by a change of this community .js file?
Can you remember when the hovering behavior was okay last time?

Is someone still working on this? I imagine, that this should be a very small hack, or am I wrong?

This user name is for dewiki blocked and suppressed, but the line in Special:Users is not crossed out. When you have suppress user rights (oversight) then you can read the line crossed out. Here the line is not crossed out. What is wrong? What did I understand wrong?
Jan 10 2024
But otherwise the software isn't doing what I expect. If I suppress a user name locally then I expect, that the user name can't be reading publicly locally by any users any more. That's the result of a suppression and should work. And some years ago, I don't have the exact date, it worked properly. We have a big bunch of suppressed user names from some years ago that cannot be read publicly.
Who of WMF I have to contact to wipe those user names entirely? In dewiki it's unfortunately not very rarely, to suppress such harmful user names.
@Urbanecm: Isn't it the easiest and fastest way to change the wiki software like:

@Tacsipacsi: This is one more indenting error using DiscussionTools, see this diff https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:WikiProject_Resource_Exchange/Resource_Request&diff=prev&oldid=1185375661

I would be glad about an outage report in next TechNews, thank you.

But these are thoughts about alternative solutions (?)
One question in mind: Why do we really need a PNG rendering of SVG files? Let's use SVG as SVG and all will be happy. When we need thumbnails or gallery pictures of SVG files we should show minimized SVG (you can minimize and maximize SVG without to produce pixel sludge).

The database basics for this job by TaxonBota are already well developed. The job will be done with the daily bot run.

I'm missing this colon space in discussion page histories like https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Diskussion:DocMorris&action=history
Aug 22 2023
Where is the discussion, done before this change, where communities had the possibilities or the opportunities to agree or disagree with this.
This has nothing to do with German spelling but with namespace separation. So the blank style is a programming language spelling mistake. I never saw this spelling within any other programming using namespaces.
I agree to @Nardog s comment above and I am not convinced that we really need this separator style, Nardog has explained his reason, and this is my reason too.

@Samwalton9 : I reinstalled Chrome now. JSTOR is working fine now.

@Esanders : isn't it possible to avoid the text intending colons at the beginning of the gallery lines when publishing the reply? Isn't it programmable maybe?
