Powerful, but needs read write to a better data structure than Google Keep. As of this review, can indirectly create a Google Docs, but not modify one from the Assistant level. Very powerful though. Needs a reliable, manageable structure to access personal data and settings. Sheets, even if limited, would be a help. Very good at iterative research if you don't trust it without confirmation. I love it's improving level of integration and convenience. Poor self-knowledge. More extensions!

Not that good. I remember in 2010, there was an assistant app for Android that you could have an avatar, which you could change even down to the clothes she was wearing, it was continuous conversation and could open apps and make calls and send text messages. It's gone for some reason, Google probably hated it because it was better than anything they had, and forced its removal. This one is just awful. For as advanced as humans claim to be in the tech world, we're actually going backwards.

"unfortunately, I can't navigate" Update: Thanks for your fast response. I tried the prompt again and this time Gemini gave me a spoken list of directions, but did not open Google maps. I tried a second time at got the response "I can't help with navigation yet, I'm still learning" It's strange because, when Android Auto is running, voice prompts to navigate seem to work fine. I'll raise my rating since it partially succeeds.
