Vocational Independence Program

Vocational Independence Program or VIP is one of only 10 postsecondary schools in the United States that is known by the U.S. Department of Education as a Comprehensive Transition and Postsecondary (CTP) program for students with an intellectual disability.[1] In order to be accepted into the VIP program, students must be enrolled in the summer program.[2] VIP program is for students 16 to 22 with special needs[3] and offers academics, independent living, social skills development, and vocational exploration and training.[4] However any student can still be admitted to the VIP program as long as the student is at least 18 years of age.[5] The IQ scores of these students is between 70-143.[2]
