Watch videos on the Miniplayer

With the Miniplayer, you can continue to watch videos, including playlists and livestreams, while you browse YouTube.

Start the Miniplayer

While watching a video, click Miniplayer  to get started. When you click it, you’ll go back to the page you were just browsing.

Control the Miniplayer

The video will continue to play in the Miniplayer as you navigate around the site. You can pause, play, and seek through videos without leaving the Miniplayer.

If you click another video’s thumbnail with the Miniplayer up while browsing on Home, that video will load and play directly in the Miniplayer.

Exit the Miniplayer

Dismiss the Miniplayer by clicking  at the top-right of the player or hitting escape on your keyboard. You can also go back to the video watch page by clicking Expand .
