ஒலிம்பிக் வலயங்களால் உருவகித்த பன்முகப் பாலின அடையாளக் குறியீடுகள்

பாலினப் பயில்வுகள் (Gender studies) என்பது பாலின அடையாளத்தையும் பாலின உருவகிப்பையும் பயிலும் பலதுறையிடைப் புலமாகும். இது மகளிர் பயில்வுகள், ஆடவர் பயில்வுகள், பெண்ணியம், பாலினம், பாலின அரசியல், விதிர்நிலைப் பயில்வுகள் ஆகியவற்றை உள்ளடக்கும்.[1] சிலவேளைகளில், பாலினப் பயில்வுகள் மாந்த இனப் பாலுணர்வுப் பயில்வுடன் இணைந்தே பயிலப்படுகிறது.

பாலினப் பயில்வுகள் பாலினத்தையும் பாலுணர்வையும் இலக்கியம், மொழி, புவியியல், வரலாறு, அரசியல், சமூகவியல், மானுடவியல், திரைப்படக் கோப்பாடு, ஊடகப் பயில்வுகள்,[2] மாந்த வளர்ச்சி, சட்டம், பொதுநலவாழ்வு, மருத்துவம் ஆகிய புலங்களில் பயில்கின்றன.[3] மேலும், பாலினம், பாலுணர்வு சார்ந்த கருத்தினங்களுடன் ஊடாடும் இனம், இனக்குழு, இருப்பிடம், பொருளியல் வகுப்பு, நாட்டினம், ஊனம் ஆகியவற்றையும் பயில்கின்றன.[4][5]

" ஒருவர் பெண்ணாகப் பிறப்பதில்லை;ஒருவர் அப்படி ஒருவராக ஆகிறார்." எனப் பாலினம் பற்றிக் கூறினார் சீமோன் தெ பொவாயேர். [6] பாலினப் பயில்வுகளில் இந்தக் கண்ணோட்டம் "பாலினம்" எனும் சொல் அதன் முழுமையான பொருளில் ஆண்மையையோ பெண்மையையோ பற்றிய சமூக, பண்பாட்டுப் புனைவுகளைச் சுட்டவேண்டுமே தவிர, ஆணாகவோ பெண்ணாகவோ பிறந்த நிலையை அன்று என்பதை முன்வைக்கிறது [7] என்றாலும்மனைத்துக் கோட்பாட்டாளர்களும் இக்கண்ணோட்டத்தைக் கொண்டிருப்பதில்லை. பொவாயேரின் கண்ணோட்டத்தைப் பல சமூகவியலாளர்கள் ஏற்றாலும் பாலினப் பயில்வுகள் புலத்தில் பல்வேறு பின்னணி கொண்ட பங்களிப்பாளர்களும் எதிர்பார்வையுள்ளவர்களும் பலர் உள்ளனர். உளப்பகுப்பாய்வியலாளரான யாக்குவெசு இலக்கானும் பெண்ணியலாளரான யூடித் பட்லரும் இந்நிலைப் பார்வையுள்ளவருக்கு நல்ல எடுத்துகாட்டாக அமைவர்.

பாலினம் பல அறிவுப் புலங்களில் பேசத்தகு பொருளாகும். இப்புலங்களில்; இலக்கியக் கோட்பாடு, நாடகப் பயில்வுகள், திரைப்படக் கோட்பாடு, நிகழ்த்துதிறன் கோட்பாடு, வளர்கலை வரலாறு, மானிடவியல், சமூகவியல், சமூக மொழியியல், உளவியல் போன்றன அடங்கும். என்றாலும், இப்புலங்கள் சிலவேளைகளில் தங்கள் அணுகுமுறைகளில் பாலினம் எப்படி பயிலப் படுகிறது, ஏன் பயிலப் படுகிறது என்பதில் வேறுபடுகின்றன. குறிப்பாக, மானிடவியல், சமூகவியல், உளவியல் புலங்களில், பாலினம் ஒரு நடைமுறையாகப்பயிலப்படுகிறது; அதேவேலையில் பண்பாட்டுப் பயிவுகளில் பாலின உருவகப்படுத்தல் ஆய்வுக்கு உள்ளாகிறது. அரசியலில், பாலினத்தை அரசியல் செயற்பாட்டாளர்கள் பல்வேறு சிக்கல்களில் தம் இருப்பை நிலைநிறுத்திக்கொள்ள பயன்படுத்தும் அடிப்படை உரையாடலாகிறது.[8] பாலினப் பயில்வுகள் தன்னளவில் ஒரு தனிப்புலமாகும்; இது பல்வேறு புலங்களில் இருந்து தனது முறைகளையும் அணுகுமுறைகளையும் வகுத்துக் கொள்கிறது.[9]

கில்லர்மனின் கூற்றுப்படி, பாலினத்தை மூன்று வகைகளாக, பாலின அடையாளம், பாலின மெய்ப்பாடு, உயிரியல் பால்பிரிப்பு எனப் பிரிக்கலாம்.[15] இந்த வகைகள் பாலினத்தைச் சமூக, உயிரியல், பண்பாட்டுப் புனைவுகளாக பிரித்தலைக் குறிக்கின்றன. இந்தப் புனைவுகள் எப்படி ஆண்மையும் பெண்மையும் நெகிழ்திற உறுப்படிகள் என்பதைக் காட்டுகின்றன; மேலும், இவற்றின் பொருள் தம் பல்வேறு சூழல் கட்டுத்தளைகளைச் சார்ந்து அலைவுறுகின்றன என்பதையும் சுட்டுகின்றன.
