Ambikapur Airport – Status, Master Plan & Design
Ambikapur Airport is an operational airport at Darima, south of Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh by Airports Authority of India (AAI).
Ambikapur Airport is currently being upgraded with the improvements to the existing terminal, construction of a new apron, strengthening and extension of runway length from 1500m to 1800m, construction of isolation bay and two taxiways.
Ambikapur Airport received DGCA’s license to operate on March 15, 2024.

Current Status & Tenders
In September 2021, Bramha Infra Engineers emerged as the lowest bidder to upgrade Ambikapur Airport with a bid value of Rs. 43.98 crore.
Upgraded facilities are expected to become operational in April 2024.
