Type locality: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.  
Reproductionovovivparous 
TypesHolotype: lost, was ZMH (lost fide HALLERMANN 1998). 
Diagnosis 
CommentThe status of S. acontias remains uncertain due to the inadequate description and destruction of the type specimen.

Limb morphology: Limbless.

Abundance: Rare. This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024.
