Not only was Plato unsupportive of autocracy, but on top of that he was also only 24 at the time of Critias' death and was regarded to have simply been a fellow student of Socrates at that point with no writings or school to his name. The citation later in the sentence only notes on how Critias and Plato shared doubts in democracy, but that does not mean Plato or even Critias ever believed in the good of a single ruler. undo
