Hello Cyan22,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can <span class="plainlinks">contest this deletion</span>, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Structure of Masonic appendant bodies in England and Wales
Greetings Cyan22, and happy Christmas! :-) I ran into an article called Masonic bodies, and when I made some further Google searches about the organization chart of York rite Masonry, I noticed there is a tiny little conflict there with your self-made graph. See, in these two pictures, "Order of Knights Templar" (OKT) is actually above "Order of Knights of Malta (OKM): .

First, I wanna say that I know a very little about Masonry, but those two pictures would suggest that the order of "OKT" and "OKM" should be vice versa. There is a huge chance though, that my knowledge on the subject is way too insufficient - or that the two images that I provided above would not be that reliable per se - but do you mind taking a look? =P Cheers and Merry Christmas! :-) Jayaguru-Shishya (talk) 16:58, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

: Hi there again! There's another thing that came up when I was reading about the topic. See, I have a source that states that the Scottish Rite doesn't turn into a Trinitarian Christian one until the 18th, "Rose Croix", degree (the whole version in Finnish). Therefore, labeling the whole Ancient and Accepted Rite (Scottish Rite) as Trinitarian Christian isn't quite exact in my opinion.
: Also here, "Order of Knights Templar" is above "Order of Knights of Malta". Besides that, "Order of Red Cross of Constantine" is above "Order of Knights Templar", which would suggest that "Order of the Red cross of Constantine" should be placed on the top. =P Jayaguru-Shishya (talk) 23:26, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

:: Hi, and thanks for your enquiry. As you rightly observed, the chart on "Structure of Masonic appendant bodies in England and Wales" is in certain aspects different from the organization chart of York Rite Masonry. The most relevant differences between masonic orders in England&Wales and countries that work the York Rite are the positions of "OKT" and "OKM" as well as the position of certain other degrees. Also, the Ancient and Accepted Rite in England&Wales places great emphasis on the 18th degree and will not admit a candidate if he is not able to profess the Trinitarian Christian faith. It is important to keep in mind, however, that the chart ONLY describes the way Masonic appendant bodies are organized in England & Wales. It does not claim to describe the structure in Scotland, Ireland, or indeed anywhere else outside England & Wales. It also does not describe the York Rite. I hope this helps. Best wishes Cyan22 (talk) 19:05, 26 January 2015 (UTC)

::: Oh, I see the issue with OKT and OKM now. Thanks for your reply! How about the Ancient and Accepted Rite when it comes to Trinitarian Christian faith? As you said, it places great emphasis in England and Wales on the 18th degree - but aren't the lower degrees open for non-Christians as well? In Finnish masonry the degrees below 18th are. Anyway, in the current graph, the whole Ancient and Accepted Rite is labeled as "Trinitarian Christian", even it appears that the Trinitarian Christian faith is not required until the 18th degree.
::: Maybe the graph could be modified a bit? =P Cheers! Jayaguru-Shishya (talk) 20:37, 29 January 2015 (UTC)
:::: In England and Wales, the first degree that is actually conferred upon a candidate in the Ancient and Accepted Rite is the 18th. Degrees below are only given as part of the 18th degree ceremony. Hence the Ancient and Accepted Rite in England&Wales will not admit a candidate if he is not able to profess the Trinitarian Christian faith. Cyan22 (talk) 20:18, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
::::: Oooh, that's very curious! I didn't know that in England and Wales the 18th degree is the first degree conferred upon the candidate. That'd explain a lot, thanks! So diverse Freemasonry is indeed...
::::: I just recently read from a source (the one which I've been pertaining to even earlier) that in Sweden, Freemasonry as a whole would require Trinitarian Christian faith, even the Blue Lodge degrees. In other words, an Universal version there wouldn't exist.
::::: Anyway, thanks for your time and answers! :-) Cheers! Jayaguru-Shishya (talk) 21:50, 6 February 2015 (UTC)

Your recent edits to Scallop
I read your recently added paragraphs on the article on Scallop regarding St. Augustine and the symbolism of the shell. These additions are welcome, of course, but they require some kind of reference before they can be accepted at face value. Are you familiar with the process of citing your sources? You seem to have a long enough talk page history to indicate that you do, but your userpage is still undeveloped and you made no effort to include any citations here. Please see WP:CITATION if you need guidance on how to do this. Once you have become familiar with the process, please go back and add sources to these two paragraphs. If you do not, they may be deleted as unsourced content. A tag has been placed on :Cremation Society of Great Britain requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.srgw.info/CremSoc/History/HistSocy.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. <!-- Template:Db-copyvio-notice --> zzz (talk) 21:21, 16 October 2017 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Bonnie J. Dunbar, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. -MBK004 21:47, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as on Talk:Andy Hobsbawm, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. —Sean Whitton / 14:20, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services"

[edit]

A page you created, Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a club or other organization, but it does not indicate how it is important or significant, and thus why it should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for organizations in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

DYK?: Scilly naval disaster of 1707

[edit]

Hi. I've nominated Scilly naval disaster of 1707, an article you worked on, for consideration to appear on the Main Page as part of Wikipedia:Did you know. You can see the hook for the article here, where you can improve it as you see fit. DYK reviewers have asked for more/better referencing, so please put in more footnotes and references soon if you are interested in getting your article featured on MainPage. Thank you. --PFHLai (talk) 09:26, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the nomination! Only problem is that I don't really knwo where to go from here, I looked for the said comments underneath "your nomination's entry" but couldn't even find that header. I've been away for a couple of days, does this mean your nomination has become sort of 'dormant'? Kind regards Cyan22 (talk) 21:23, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry about it, Cyan22. It's too late now. Thank you for the article, nonetheless. Please be encouraged to self-nominate your next good wikicontribution for DYK. Happy editing. Take care. --PFHLai (talk) 02:14, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Brooch Scillonian.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Image Screening Bot (talk) 20:29, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tecwyn Roberts requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion () tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Jncraton (talk) 00:20, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Great job there, my only contributions were in the editing phase; you have done the yeoman's work in researching and corroborating facts. FWiW Bzuk (talk) 23:49, 5 May 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Addition of unsourced material

[edit]

With this edit you altered the article text to state that Fleming's ashes were buried in the crypt of St. Paul's Cathedral, however the source doesn't mention "ashes" or "crypt". I'm curious to learn the reason for your edit? If you are planning to alter established (and sourced) article text, could you please cite the reliable sources that you are using as a basis for your edits? Thanks. GFHandel   21:09, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lewis (Freemasonry) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Structure of Masonic appendant bodies in England and Wales

[edit]

Greetings Cyan22, and happy Christmas! :-) I ran into an article called Masonic bodies, and when I made some further Google searches about the organization chart of York rite Masonry, I noticed there is a tiny little conflict there with your self-made graph. See, in these two pictures, "Order of Knights Templar" (OKT) is actually above "Order of Knights of Malta (OKM): [1][2].

:-) Jayaguru-Shishya (talk) 16:58, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there again! There's another thing that came up when I was reading about the topic. See, I have a source that states that the Scottish Rite doesn't turn into a Trinitarian Christian one until the 18th, "Rose Croix", degree[3] (the whole version in Finnish). Therefore, labeling the whole Ancient and Accepted Rite (Scottish Rite) as Trinitarian Christian isn't quite exact in my opinion.
Also here[4], "Order of Knights Templar" is above "Order of Knights of Malta". Besides that, "Order of Red Cross of Constantine" is above "Order of Knights Templar", which would suggest that "Order of the Red cross of Constantine" should be placed on the top. =P Jayaguru-Shishya (talk) 23:26, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, and thanks for your enquiry. Best wishes Cyan22 (talk) 19:05, 26 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I see the issue with OKT and OKM now.
Maybe the graph could be modified a bit? =P Cheers! Jayaguru-Shishya (talk) 20:37, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
In England and Wales, the first degree that is actually conferred upon a candidate in the Ancient and Accepted Rite is the 18th. Degrees below are only given as part of the 18th degree ceremony. Hence the Ancient and Accepted Rite in England&Wales will not admit a candidate if he is not able to profess the Trinitarian Christian faith. Cyan22 (talk) 20:18, 6 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oooh, that's very curious! I didn't know that in England and Wales the 18th degree is the first degree conferred upon the candidate. That'd explain a lot, thanks! So diverse Freemasonry is indeed...
I just recently read from a source (the one which I've been pertaining to even earlier) that in Sweden, Freemasonry as a whole would require Trinitarian Christian faith, even the Blue Lodge degrees. In other words, an Universal version there wouldn't exist.
Anyway, thanks for your time and answers! :-) Cheers! Jayaguru-Shishya (talk) 21:50, 6 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits to Scallop

[edit]

Thank you! KDS4444Talk 09:23, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Cremation Society of Great Britain requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
