Martina Dwamena, who goes by the mononym Asantewaa is a Ghanaian TikToker.[1] She is known for her funny videos she started creating during the global Coronavirus pandemic.[2][3]
Early life and education
After finishing secondary school, Dwamena worked as a teacher.[4] She then attended nursing school, where she was introduced to TikTok by a friend.[4]
Career
Asantewaa's career as a TikTok and social media influencer started in 2020 during the Coronavirus pandemic and the world was on lockdown.[5]
She was awarded the TikTok influencer of the year at the Pulse Ghana Influencer Awards 2021.[6]
Although Asantewaa has promoted songs such as "Friday Night" by Lasmid in her skits and viral videos in the past, in 2023, she stated that she no longer offers music promotion services.[7]
Personal life
Asantewaa married in 2017.[8]
