It attracts young people from the town; every weekend and holidays it is full of teenagers. The main activities that buzzes near the river besides swimming are; tubing ( which is jumping on a tube and flowing down the fast rapids), having volleyball games near the river in the nearest possible sand spot. And barbacues and fishing are also popular. |

Chimbu River is located in the centre of Simbu Province near Kudiawa town.It is a river in Simbu Province, Papua New Guinea.
It is called 'WARA SIMBU' by the locals. It is formed from different creeks, mostly formed from under the highed mountain in Papua New Guinea; Mt Wilhelm.
