The Shannons Supercar Showdown is an Australian reality TV show which pits 10 drivers against each other to win a spot on the Bathurst 1000 grid alongside TV personality and fellow driver Grant Denyer in the 5th Kelly Racing entry as a wildcard. The first season was held in 2011.
First season
Season 1 was held in 2011. The 10 drivers were:
- Amber Anderson
- Andrew Jordan
- Ben Small
- Cameron Waters
- David Sera
- Hayley Swanson
- Nick Cassidy
- Nick Foster
- Samantha Reid
- Shae Davies
The 2011 series was won by Cameron Waters. It made Waters the youngest driver to ever start the race.
Second season
Season 2 was held in 2012. The 10 drivers were:
- Andre Heimgartner
- Jack LeBrocq
- Sarah Harley
- Adrian Cottrell
- Jesse Dixon
- Ryal Harris
- Ed Sevadjian
- Andrew McLean
- Samantha Stevens
- Glen Wood
The 2012 series was won by Jesse Dixon. Grant Denyer then pulled out of the race due to a back injury. He was replaced by 2011 winner Cameron Waters.
