Come True is a Canadian science fiction horror film directed and written by Anthony Scott Burns.[5] The film stars Landon Liboiron, Skylar Radzion, Julia Sarah Stone, Tiffany Helm, Chantal Perron and Tedra Rogers.[6]

Plot

A teenage runaway takes part in a sleep study that becomes a nightmarish descent into the depths of her mind and a frightening examination of the power of dreams.[7]

Release

The film has its world premiere in Canada at the 2020 Fantasia Film Festival on August 30, 2020.[8][9] It was released in select theaters and on VOD platforms on March 12, 2021 by IFC Midnight.[1]

Reception

The review consensus at Rotten Tomatoes for Come True had 87% of critics recommending the film, based on 23 reviews and an average rating of 7.70 out of 10. The site's consensus reads, "Well-acted and visually striking, Come True offers an eerily effective reminder of how the sleeping subconscious can be fertile ground for horror".[10][11]
