Mercury – Act 1 is the upcoming fifth studio album by American pop rock band Imagine Dragons, scheduled to be released on September 3, 2021 by Kidinakorner and Interscope Records.
Background
On June 29, 2021, the band asked on Twitter for people to guess the album title, promising to reveal it the next day if anyone correctly guessed it.[1] The album was then announced on the band's Twitter account on June 30, 2021, revealing the cover art and release date.[2] The album will feature production from Joel Little and Rick Rubin.[3]
Singles
The album was preceded by three singles. The two lead singles "Follow You" and "Cutthroat" were released on March 12, 2021.[4][5] The third single "Wrecked", which was inspired by the death of Reynold's sister-in-law,[6] was released on July 2, 2021.[5]

The album is scheduled to be released on September 3, 2021.[5]
