Jasmine too harshly regrets her decision and confesses her love for Fateh while also plotting against Tejo. Fateh accepts her back and has an extramarital affair with her. As Tejo gets to know about this affair, she asks Fateh for divorce in order for him and Jasmine to marry. Jasmine however, brings back Jass (Tejo 's first husband) in order to worsen the overall condition even more. Tejo ends up getting engaged to Angad so Fateh and Jasmine can get married and Jasmine and Fateh could get married and receive the family's blessings. As both Fateh and Jasmine are about to leave for Canada, Fateh burns her boarding ticket and passport and reveals to her that the wedding was fake and planned by him when he finds out about the misdeeds Jasmine did towards Tejo in order to get him. On the other hand, Angad falls in love with Tejo, however, she declares him as a friend. Fateh and Jasmine go their separate ways, nevertheless, Jasmine vows to seek vengeance against Fateh for breaking her dreams. After much trials and tribulations, Fateh and Tejo end up together. Angad and Jasmine both join hands to separate them, but later, Angad realises his evil deeds and lets Tejo go. Jasmine ends up marrying Amrik (Fateh's brother), even though she was trying to marry Fateh for revenge. In London, Jasmine and Amrik come across Tanya, Tejo's look-alike. Angad was also in London and he was sure that Tanya is Tejo and hence, wished to kill her. Tanya admits to being Tejo and accuses Fateh and Jasmine of trying to kill her, which is all a misunderstanding. In the end Angad's true evil face is revealed and he is arrested for Tejo's murder. Jasmine, on the other hand, marries Yash and ends up moves to Canada, finally accomplishing her lifelong dream. Nevertheless, she is in for a rude awakening when she realizes Yash married her for revenge and mistreats her.
6 years later
Jasmine returns to India with Naaz as she was suffering from domestic violence and torture by her mother-in-law and husband however, her father refuses to accept her. Tejo and Fateh raise Nehmat up in a loving household while Jasmine and Naaz are barely getting by. Jasmine decides to leave her daughter with her family so Naaz can finally attain the love and happiness she deserves. Jasmine leaves behind a note stating that she doesn't wish to meet them again as she is not a great person to have in anyone's life. Naaz and Nehmat become friends and treat each other like sisters. However, Naaz starts to get jealous of the attention Nehmat is getting and misses Jasmine. Fateh and Tejo decide to adopt Naaz so she could also get the love and attention similar to Nehmat. Unfortunately, before Naaz could be officially adopted, Fateh, Tejo and the Virks all die in a car accident. Nehmat, Naaz and Tejo's family are left devastated.
16 years later
Naaz and Nehmat are all grown up. Nehmat is dating Ekam, a police officer in trainee, who wishes to help her find out the reason behind the Virk family's accident and demise. Naaz is still suffering from inferiority complex for the attention Nehmat always gets and wishes to snatch all of Nehmat's happiness. The only person who sees Naaz's true face is Malika (Ekam's sister) and therefore, Naaz and Mallika don't get along. Naaz tries to break Nehmat's friendship with Malika by creating misunderstandings between them. She does this by showing Advait (Malika's to be husband) and Nehmat are together. Advait, in reality, only wishes to marry Malika in order to have power over Ekam so he doesn't investigate the Virk family's accident. It is revealed that Advait's father and Jasmine were behind the car accident. Nehmat eventually marries Advait and falls victim to his tortures. Harleen (Jasmine's youngest daughter) also arrives in Moga and falls in love with Ekam, only further worsening the current circumstance. After a series of events, Nehmat is proven innocent of all accusations and finds major evidence against Advait and his father. Both try to stop Nehmat but remain unsuccessful. Nehmat still doesn't agree for marriage with Ekam even though she loves him dearly because she wishes for Harleen and Ekam to be together. Later, Ekam and Harleen get engaged. Ekam shares with Harleen about Nehmat's struggles since childhood as she had lost her parents and family at a very young age. Harleen seeing Ekam and Nehmat's love and care for each other, decides to cancel her wedding with Ekam by revealing her on-paper marriage with Advait to the media. This event took place in Canada four years ago as Advait was in need of Canadian Citizenship where Jasmine helped him. Ekam, Nehmat and the Sandhu family learns about Harleen and Advait's on-paper marriage. Ekam and his family misunderstands the situation and lashes out Harleen for lying. After a series of events, during the Holika Dahan, Advait tries to kill Harleen by putting her inside the Holika Dahan nevertheless, Ekam and Nehmat save her. Ekam brings Advait to the police station and Nehmat and Harleen beat him up and he is soon arrested. During the Holi festival, Harleen decides to bring Ekam and Nehmat closer by mixing "bhaag" in their drink and locking them in a room. Shamsher Kapoor (Advait's father), wasn't able to tolerate the fact that his son was being kept in lock-up. Therefore, he decides to forcefully bring Harleen to the police station for her to take back the complaint. After a series of events, while saving Harleen, Nehmat gets kidnapped by Shamsher however, Ekam saves her. Shamsher was going to shoot Nehmat nevertheless, Harleen comes in between and gets shot instead. Jasmine comes to India after being threatened by Shamsher. She soon gets to know that Harleen gets shot and is extremely devastated. Nevertheless, Harleen eventually regains consciousness and becomes aware of the fact that she is infertile and cannot become a mother however, decides not to inform any of her family members about it. Harleen wishes to sacrifice Ekam for Nehmat but Nehmat decide to leave Moga for Harleen to get her love Ekam. But Ekam stops her and make her realise his love for her. On the other hand, Harleen explains to Renuka that Nehmat is the perfect choice for Ekam as they both love each other. Renuka agrees to Ekam and Nehmat's alliance and goes to Sandhu's house with Ekam's marriage proposal. Before Nehmat and Ekam's wedding preparations begins, Ekam and Nehmat secretly get married in Gurudwara and consummate their marriage, During wedding functions, Jasmine plots many conspiracies to call off Nehkam's wedding but failed. On wedding day nehmat gets blackmailed by Jasmine to cancel the wedding or she will frame Ekam for Advait murder and will kill Ekam. Nehmat agrees forcefully.
