Situated in the town of Maijdee, Noakhali, Bangladesh, it has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1850. History
In 1850, Officer Jones, hailing from Ireland, established a private school in the historic town of Noakhali district. Initially known as RK High School, it underwent several relocations and name changes. In 1920, the school premises were engulfed by the river, prompting a move to Ghona of Mantiyar in 1921. Unfortunately, it faced another displacement due to flooding. Subsequently, on January 1, 1923, the school found a new home at RK Zubli school, and its name was changed to RK Zila School.
However, in 1931, the school fell victim once again to the relentless forces of river erosion. It was then relocated to Bango School until finally settling at its present location in 1953. Over the years, the school faced significant challenges, including destruction caused by cyclones in 1958 and 1970. Nevertheless, it displayed resilience and was reconstructed each time, demonstrating the unwavering commitment to education and the perseverance of the school's staff and students.[2]

Notable alumni
- Muzaffar Ahmed was a noted Bengali politician, journalist and communist activist, popularly known as "Kakababu".[3]
- Sergeant Zahurul Haq was a sergeant of the Pakistan Air Force, killed in jail when he was under trial. Haq was one of the 35 persons accused in the Agartala conspiracy case officially called State vs Sheikh Mujibur Rahman & Others Case of 1968.[4]
