ANAPROF 2002 team distribution

ANAPROF 2002 is the 2002 season of the Panamanian football league, ANAPROF. The season started on February , 2002 with the Torneo Apertura and finalized on October 2002 with the Torneo Clausura Both the Apertura and Clausura champion was XXX, therefore, for the second time in ANAPROF history, XXX were crowned ANAPROF 2002 champions without the need to play a grand final.

Change for ANAPROF 2002

  • There will be no relegation ANAPROF will expand the numbers of teams from 8 to 10 starting the 2004 season.
  • In the 2003 Clasura, the 4 team semifinal group was dropped for a pair of home-and-away series featuring the top four teams of the season.
  • For the Clausura championship the final was played in a single match format.
