Please remove the deletion tag. It is true that under Indian copyright laws, films can be used for non-commercial purposes without need for permission, and since wikipedia does not have an option for Indian laws, i put it as a note. --Avedeus (talk) 00:57, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why can't you just finish filling out the FUR template? Eeekster (talk) 01:02, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I don't know what that is. The only available option is to cite Fair use under US law which means I can only use it in an article specific to the film; but under Indian copyright law, any work published first in India, " Fair dealing

A fair dealing with a literary, dramatic, musical or artistic work (not being a computer programme) for the purposes of for the purpose of research or private study, for criticism or review, for reporting current events, in connection with judicial proceeding, performance by an amateur club or society if the performance is given to a non-paying audience, and . the making of sound recordings of literary, dramatic or musical works under certain conditions. Hello!

Hello - The deletion of the edit I made under Clostridium Difficile which you called vandalism was insulting. I am a medical professional and wanted to contribute my experiences in dealing with the nature of this particular issue of stool transplantation to cure this disorder. The Yuck or Ick factor (which you have a listing for) is a problem that we face trying to deal with this problem, even though it is an effective cure. This a major impediment to this procedure. Please reconsider the deletion.

The comment in the article was hardly appropriate and certainly wasn't sourced. Eeekster (talk) 02:28, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Can you explain that a bit better to me. I certainly can source it from some medical journals. I can not see how an issue that would prevent someone from accepting a valid medical treatment would not be appropriate to list. I really am at a loss to follow your logic on this. This is an issue that I have had to deal with as a medical professional and as a formerly certified infection specialist from the Association for Practitioners in Infection Control and Epidemiology . May I put a sourced statement here for you to consider? I do not understand the concept of the sandbox. I thought I has some valid things to say in the past, but this sort of harsh treatment makes me want to reconsider whether I should contribute any more to the project. I really am quite insulted and hurt here. I thought i was adding some valid information and was treated like a vandal — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeroldc (talkJerold Crawford - Tampa, FL USA (talk) 02:54, 30 June 2011 (UTC)contribs) 02:50, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

May I please have a contact for your supervisor Jerold Crawford - Tampa, FL USA (talk) 07:28, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Erm...Wikipedia doesn't pay editors. Otherwise to get in you'd have to have a job interview, wouldn't you? Island Monkey talk the talk 07:30, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No, I'm not going to discuss this or explain things. I saw the edit the way I saw it. Obviously you don't agree. Move on. Eeekster (talk) 18:07, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Meg Sneed Image

The Meg Sneed image at File:MegSneed.jpg was likely uploaded by the owner of the image, considering it is being added under a creative commons license. Therefore, couldn't you help out with the necessary information needed to be added to it instead of tagging it for deletion? It seems a bit bitey to the account. SilverserenC 22:09, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How in hell am I going to create a source for it? Sheesh! Eeekster (talk) 22:11, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like they added a link. I'm fairly certain the user is Meg Sneed or one of her workers in the organizations. The user created the article after all. SilverserenC 22:16, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
They have added a link and the page includes a copyright notice. Which makes the file subject to F11. Eeekster (talk) 23:40, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fraunhofer diffraction calculations

I have twice tried to create a subuser page in which to develop this article. It was deleted first time before I got a chance to put anything in (I had to rush away for my dinner!!). I did put an explanation in the talk page hoping it would be undeleted, but got no reply.

I then created it with a slightly different (corrected) name and added the stuff I've written so far. But now I find it has been coonverted to a full article, which I certainly did not want as there is much work to be done, including tracking down a discrepancy between two different results for the same calculation. I have put a note to that effect on the page, but would really much prefer if it existed as one of my sub-pages, as I don't want anyoen to waste theier time going through mathematical derivations which are wrong.

I obviously have not got this sub-page business right though I have already created two such pages without any problem.

Would it be possible to turn it back into one of my sub-pages? If not, can you tell me where I have gone wrong (talk) 07:29, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

PS. This is the link to the live page Epzcaw (talk) 08:21, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know who deleted it? The only interaction I've had is with the mainspace page you created that had a leading \ in it and that I only moved. Eeekster (talk) 20:20, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I can't figure out who has done what! You can see the talk page about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=%5CFraunhofer_diffraction_calculations&action=edit&redlink=1
Nyttend seems to have deleted and I can't find any mention of it being converted from a subuser page to a full-blow article. I have sent a message to Nyttend to see if he can throw any light on it. Thanks for your reply.
I'm not sure how the \ got in, but I think that was supposed ot be aprt of creating a subuser page - perhaps I put in two instead of one?? Epzcaw (talk) 20:45, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's just a delete of the redirect. The page is at Fraunhofer diffraction calculations. Eeekster (talk) 22:24, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

At least give them time to respond ? Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:46, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Respond to what? Eeekster (talk) 22:22, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Can you tell me where there are guidelines for size? It just says to make it small. How small does a non-free file need to be? – Muboshgu (talk) 22:52, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A good rule of thumb is to make it no bigger than needed. Eeekster (talk) 22:54, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's highly subjective. Who determines how big it needs to be? Anyway, I uploaded a smaller version of the file. I think it's as small as it can get while still being legible, but that's just my opinion. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:01, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it is highly subjective. But think of how the image will be displayed in an article. Most of the time they are used in infoboxes and aren't more than 300px wide. Eeekster (talk) 23:28, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have been trying to upload a picture of Victor Alexeeff and also explain the copyright situation, but it seems it is not good enough. Please help. I am not good in entering stuff into Wikipedia, obviously, but do have permission to use Victor Alexeeff's picture. It was taken by Claudia Coulter, who signed a release form for this picture. What can I do ? Please help, thank you!! Petraluna111
