Military airfield "Kalinov" (ICAO: UKLA) is an air base in Ukraine, located about 0.5 km (0.31 mi) northeast of Kalyniv and 10 km (6.2 mi) northeast of Sambir, near the Polish border.
7th regiment of the Ukrainian air forces
At the airport "Kalinov" was deployed on 7-th separate regiment of ukrainian airforces.
Since 1965, was based 340 (Russian: ОТБВП) 14th air army Soviet Union [1] and on the basis of which was formed of the 7th Ukrainian AF, which currently has one squadron of the Mi-24 and Mi-8 (MI-6 and Mi-26 340-th OTBIT was estimated). The crews of the regiment took part in peacekeeping missions of the UN in Africa [2] [3] the fighting in the framework of the "United coalition" in Afghanistan.
Units of the regiment, from may 2014 take an active part in hostilities in a zone of so-called "anti-terrorist operation" in Eastern regions of Ukraine.
