Hi there, good work on this. I'm not worried about the length, and I AGF on the offline sources. I just have a couple of comments, you're almost there. --Jackyd101 (talk) 21:06, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks Jackyd101! Responses are below; I think I've covered everything. --Usernameunique (talk) 12:39, 7 September 2017 (UTC)
- It is reasonably well written.
- a (prose): b (MoS):
- It is factually accurate and verifiable.
- a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
- It is broad in its coverage.
- a (major aspects): b (focused):
- "was discovered amidst a collection of smith's tools in 1850" - can you make clear it was a hoard of Viking smith tools? For a minute I thought it was in the equipment of a 19thC smith for some reason.
- Done - "was discovered amidst a 10th century collection of smith's tools in 1850"
- "was recognized in 1982" - You say 1984 in the lede.
- Done It was published in 1984, but in the article Elisabeth Munksgaard says that she first identified it two years earlier, i.e., in 1982. That said, it's a tiny distinction that risks confusion, so I've just removed the 1982 reference.
- "These five helmets, the only ones known from the Viking Age" - can you give approximate dates for the Viking Age for clarity?
- Done "A date of 950 to 970 AD has been suggested for the Tjele tools, placing them, and the helmet fragment, towards the end of the Viking Age, which lasted from the end of the 8th century to the middle of the 11th."
- It follows the neutral point of view policy.
- a (fair representation): b (all significant views):
- It is stable.
- It contains images, where possible, to illustrate the topic.
- a (tagged and captioned): b (lack of images does not in itself exclude GA): c (non-free images have fair use rationales):
- Overall:
- a Pass/Fail:
Passed GA, good work!--Jackyd101 (talk) 12:54, 9 September 2017 (UTC)
