If you wish to leave a message for me, I have a few guidelines to help me read and reply to your message easier. First, to add a new message, click the + sign at the top of the page. Then, type a subject in the title box so that I will know what you are writing about, and I will be able to identify your message easily in the Table of Contents at the top of this page. Finally, before you send the message, please make sure that you sign it, using four tildes (~~~~), or by pressing the "signature with timestamp" button on the toolbar above the talk box. It is the third button from the left, beside the box with the italicized I. It is more difficult for me to reply if you do not sign the message, or just type your name.

Important note: I have changed my method of replying. I will no longer reply on your talk page when you leave me a message. I will reply here with {{ping|USERNAME}} or {{Reply to|USERNAME}} which will notify you that I have replied. If I leave a message I request that you do the same. This helps keep messages regarding a specific topic together.

Thank you, and I look forward to helping you here in Wikiland!

Removing More citations needed tags

Hello! I've noticed you removed several "refimprove" or "more citations needed" tags from pages need references, without adding any references. Was that just to make the articles look better? In cases like this and this and this, you removed the tag but the article still needs more citations.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 03:01, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ThatMontrealIP, In the case of this page and this page the amount of references since the tag was added had increased significantly, which seemed to indicate that the criteria for removal of the template from that page was met. The other page mentioned had more references as well. If there are sections that need more references it might be better to use the {{More citations needed section}} in the sections that need more work. Tags in articles should not remain forever and if there is evidence that the problem is solved the tags can be removed. This way the specific areas that need improvement are highlighted and can get the treatment they need. Willy No1lakersfan (Talk - Edits) 20:32, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

removing area date from infoboxes

This edit, one of a series of edits to other such articles, changes "Area code 609" to "Area codes 609 and 640". Many of these edits have also removed area data from infoboxes. The area data, both in customary and metric units, has been taken directly from data from the United States Census Bureau Gazetteer. There is no reason or need to remove this data. Alansohn (talk)

Alansohn, no data is being removed. The Gazetter information only provides area in square miles, which requires that the information be converted to km2. The infobox has the capability to convert the figures automatically. --Willy No1lakersfan (Talk - Edits) 22:15, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As stated above and in every edit summary, the area data, both in customary and metric units, has been taken directly from data from the United States Census Bureau Gazetteer, which includes both sets of units. Take a look at the source where ALAND and AWATER are area in metric units and ALAND_SQMI and AWATER_SQMI are the area in customary units. There is no reason or need to remove this data. There is no need to do a conversion nor any need to remove the data already in the article. Alansohn (talk) 22:31, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Alansohn, there is one problem with what you are saying here. The parameters for population density should BOTH be set to auto, if one is to be set that way. Otherwise it is overridden by the one that is defined by a number. This is how the infobox template works. Willy No1lakersfan (Talk - Edits) 22:43, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
