English: The magnificent head of Ros Beiaard(Steed Bayard), presumably carved in 1754, but possibly dating back to the 15th century. According to lore the head was carved by the artist Lieven van de Velde.
Nederlands: Het hoofd van het Ros Beiaard tijdens de ommegang van 30 mei 2010. Het hoofd zou gemaakt zijn in 1754, hoewel sommigen het in de vijftiende eeuw dateren. Volgens de overlevering is het hoofd door Lieven van de Velde gekapt, die daarna de ogen uitgestoken werd om nooit nog zo'n meesterwerk te kunnen maken.
