Naugachia is actually not the name of this place, it's Naugachhia which already exists. I've sourced the latter article to the 2011 Indian census which spells it this way.

==Demographics==
India census, Naugachia had a population of 49,069. Males constitute 55% of the population and females 45%. Naugachia has an average literacy rate of 62%, lower than the national average of 74%: male literacy is 69%, and female literacy is 55%. In Naugachia, 18% of the population is under 9 years of age.

==Transport==

'Naugachia railway station' (station code: NNA) is on the Barauni–Katihar section of the Sonpur railway division and serves the town of Naugachia in the Indian state of Bihar.

'Vikramshila Setu' is 6th longest bridge over water in India. The 4.7 km long two lane bridge serves as a link between NH 33 and NH 31 running on the opposite sides of the Ganges. It runs from Barari Ghat on the Bhagalpur side on the south bank of the Ganges to Naugachia on the north bank.

'Baba Bishu Raut' bridge built over Kosi river at Naugachia in Bhagalpur district to the people.
The 1.84 km long Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) bridge built at a cost of Rs 368 crore in Naugachia will help connect Supaul, Saharsa, Madhepura districts directly with Bhagalpur, Purnia and Katihar districts.
