Gérald Karsenti (born June 17, 1962) is a French business personality.

Biography

Education

Karsenti obtained a PhD at Science Po Paris. He also holds a master's degree in management from HEC Paris, a diploma from the University of Oxford in the field of change management, a master's degree in finance from the IAE Paris and a master's degree in business economics from the Institut d'économie et de management de Nantes (formerly the University of Economic Sciences of Nantes).

Career

During his career, he held international positions, notably at IBM. At the end of 2006, he joined Hewlett-Packard France as vice president and General Manager of Sales for the Enterprise Business activity. In 2010, he took over the management of the Enterprise Services division, as vice president and General Manager, following the acquisition of the EDS group.[1]

On July 31, 2017, he left Hewlett-Packard after a 10-year career.[2][3][4]

He joined Oracle in September 2017 as General Manager,[5] a company he left in 2018[6] to join SAP, as chairman and CEO. He left SAP in early 2023.[7]

In 2023, he joined the investment fund Qualium Investissement.[8]

Awards

Gérald Karsenti was appointed Knight of the Legion of Honour in the contingent of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research on July 12, 2013.[9] In 2022, Gérald Karsenti was elevated to the rank of Officer of the Ordre national du Mérite in the contingent of Élisabeth Borne.
