John F. Lund is an American businessman and real estate developer. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in business administration in 1973. In 1981, he founded Lund Company, a commercial real estate firm based in Omaha, Nebraska^[1]. In 2012, the Lund Company became an affiliate of Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate firm. As of 2024, his business employees nearly 400 employees, manages more than 8 million square feet of real estate, works in partnership with international development entities, and has over $1 billion in valued assets. Its portfolio includes Regency Shopping Center, the Landmark Center on 13th and Farnam streets in Omaha, and Omaha’s PayPal building. Other notable projects include the AAA Auto Club campus, Omaha Tower, Clocktower Village, One Pacific Place, and Blackstone Plaza (the former Kiewit headquarters). In 2013, Lund was recognized in Midwest Real Estate News Magazine’s “Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame,” honoring individuals who have made significant contributions in commercial real estate^[2]. In 2022, he was inducted into the Omaha Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame^[3].

Lund is a member of the Omaha Chamber of Commerce and served as chairman of the Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority Board of Directors. He’s also been an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Institute of Real Estate Management.
