About me:
I am a PhD student at the University of Texas at Austin, working with Joe Kileel. My research interests are in computational algebra and algebraic geometry. Currently I am studying group alignment problems, and the effect of low-passing on their polynomial optimization landscapes.
I'm also a professional violinist, although my music career has been on hold since I started grad school.
Teaching:
In the Spring 2024 I'm a teaching assistant for Applied Linear Algebra (M 346) and Partial Differential Equations and Applications (M 372K). Past courses I TAed for:
1.precalculus,
2.calculus,
3 linear algebra,
4. probability.

Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach: Metric Algebraic Geometry
This summer I had a pleasure and honour to participate in a workshop organized by Paul Breiding, Kathlen Kohn and Bernd Sturmfels. We were learning and practicing the most recent techniques of applied algebraic geometry, with applications in computer vision, machine learning, algebraic statistics among others. Not only was it a great professional experience, it was esthetically fulfilling, as the institute is located in a beautiful region of Black Forest.
