S. Shane Thomas well, I'll probably get through about 20. Just wait and read my reviews. I can say that the 3rd Jonathan Shade novel will be there and part 2 and 3 of EM Swift-Hook's Transgressor Trilogy. my TBR is piled up right now...
S. Shane Thomas Great question! I'm actually working with conspiracy theorist Rob Rogers to explain some of society's craziest mysteries in a novel that will blend close encounter testimonials with a classic story plot. Follow my blog for updates!
S. Shane Thomas I'm in the middle of drafting the sequel to Distant Origins called Monkeyboy. Hanuman is one of a kind and bears striking similarities to his namesake. A Liberty monkey turned human by the power of Anki gemstones. He and three friends become entangled in a Nefilim plot to revive the Anki Empire.

He also deals with some girl problems and identity issues.
S. Shane Thomas I have allowed myself to get derailed while writing, but I just take those loose threads and weave them into the plot. Most of the time its great, other times it creates chapters that I remove entirely. I spent a whole chapter in Distant Origins where two humans talk to their alien friend about "the friend zone," I dropped it because it didn't match the tone of the entire piece.

When I drafted A Paleolithic Fable I stayed on track a bit better. Perhaps the experience of editing out some of my tangential bits mended me, or perhaps only plotting a quarter of the story before drafting allowed me to avoid big cuts. I did curtail the amount of certain characters POV chapters in A Paleolithic Fable based on early reader responses.

Thanks for your question, Eric!
S. Shane Thomas I workshop my writing at Critters.org and I've developed some amazing pen pals there. Other writers can be great to share emails with! I've had the opportunity to make a connection with people on the other side of the world with totally different life perspectives.
S. Shane Thomas Routine. I wake up every morning at 4 am, do 3 sets of Wim Hof Method breathing exercises followed by 15 minutes of mindfulness meditation. Then I have a cup of coffee while drafting until 7 am. I have to do it then, because the house turns crazy when my sons wake up!

Lately, if I've felt averse to writing a particular article or chapter, I rethink if it is even beneficial to the overall piece. I cut one of the end chapters of A Paleolithic Fable because I just didn't want to spend 1500 on that scene. Don't worry, another character observed it in their chapter.
