★★★★ 1/2! Stark Trilogy, book 3 (3.5). The conclusion of multi-billionaire & kinky lover Damien Stark’s and Nikki Fairchild’s story. The coming-together of two kindred haunted souls with dark forces set to keep them apart!

“Where Damien and I are concerned, there is never just silence. There is heat and electricity and lust and need, all harnessing the power of the universe to pull us together. And how can I be expected to fight physics?”

The Stark Trilogy is the whirlwind romance between former youth tennis-pro and self-made multi-billionaire Damien Stark and recent College graduate and former beauty queen Nikki Fairchild. On the outside they are both strikingly beautiful, but on the inside they are two broken, flawed and tortured souls. This is their story of secrets, painful pasts, revenge, lust, control and surrendering it all for love!

Book 1: Release Me
Book 2: Claim Me
Book 3: Complete Me
Book 3.5: Take Me

In previous books we followed as Southern belle Nichole Fairchild, Nikki was propositioned by the elusive billionaire entrepreneur and master-of-his-universe, Damien Stark to pose for a nude painting. Their attraction and connection has been intense and undeniable from the first moment, but much has stood in their way. They have explored sexual submission and control while maneuvering through haunted pasts, envy, jealousy, deceit, lies and other set-backs all under the watchful eye of the hounding paparazzi.

Complete Me (book 3) is the conclusion of Damien’s and Nikki’s story. As their romance has blossomed they have further uncovered each other’s demons and found strength and solace in each other. But their journey is far from over. Follow them to Europe as they face a huge trial, not only fighting for their relationship but for their very lives…

 photo KennerStark1-3HerobySueBee_zps062ee190.jpg

Damien Stark is a combination of swoon-worthy good looks and larger-than life personality; he’s enigmatic, elusive; intense, kinky, in-control; broken, flawed; ruthless and unyielding, yet when it comes to Nikki he allows himself to be more vulnerable and human. Six words to describe Damien: Captivating, intense, ruthless, enigmatic, commanding and unforgettable.

“He is power and poetry, grace and perfection, and I feel my body tighten in response to the beauty that is Damien.”

 photo KennerStark1-3HeroinebySueBee_zps6dc1379e.jpg

Nikki Fairchild has come a long way working through her demons! Six words to describe Nikki: Smart, vulnerable, broken, resilient, conflicted and determined.

“You’re what gives me strength. If I am what centers you, Nikki, then you are what anchors me.”

Complete Me is filled with twists and turns, driven by the unfolding of who has been trying to break them apart. Be prepared for a few surprises and shockers before the perfect ending to their saga. I might have wished for an epilogue fast forward a few years into the future, but I am elated knowing they conquered their demons and found love, peace and happiness!

Interesting plot! Compelling and captivating characters! Sizzling sex scenes! And the flawless conclusion! Great job Ms. Kenner! I am highly recommending!

“What I want, Nikki. Always, what I want.”

3 VERY GENEROUS STARS!

Honestly, I considered rating this book with less than 3 stars, so I honestly think me even giving it the 3 stars rating is very generous considering how I felt about the book. And I'm still questioning whether or not I should have even given it that many stars even as I write this review. I know those of you who have read this may feel differently, but this is my honest opinion about this book so:

I want to start off by saying I had high expectations for this book, considering it is the last book in the trilogy. I had really liked Release Me and Claim Me so I was disappointed that this book was not even remotely as great as I thought it would be. I don't want my review and disappointment of this book to stop others from trying it if you have read and enjoyed the first two books in the series already, you may form a different opinion about this book than I did.

This review may contain a couple small spoilers.

Where the book begins, Nikki has been with Damien for weeks in Germany as he prepares for his murder trial and when they show up in court the first day, in light of new evidence being submitted from an annonymous source VERY early in the book, his legal battles come to a conclusion VERY quickly.

They had to deal with stalkers, locating a missing Sofia (and at about 91% a twist involving Sofia) and the fear of whether or not the annoymous source would end up revealing the evidence (that was given to the court) into the media and they needed to find out who it was. Unfortunately, that small sentence pretty much sums up the on again off again issues they dealt with in the book.

I felt that sex was used in excess (I know, I can't believe I am saying that either) as a filler for a story that fell flat. Throughout the whole book I kept thinking:

When sex is used literally as a filler in a story that is falling flat and boring, even the sex becomes boring. I honestly thought they used sex as an escape from reality or an escape from their problems- that was when a big majority of it took place. Or it took place when Nikki was feeling like she was close to cutting. At one point in the book, something happens and Nikki completely faints- and when she comes around, within a few pages they are going to have sex and I'm sitting there thinking:

So when around 72% when the mysteries slowly got revealed, I was thinking finally after suffering through that long without much of a story that something interesting would happen. Sadly I was wrong. Even when the mysteries got revealed, I may have been interested for a couple pages here and there but sadly most of the time it still was not interesting me.

I was irritated at how much Damien kept secrets from Nikki throughout the book, pretty much right until the end. No matter how much Nikki asked him to let her in, he'd tell her bits and pieces of what was happening, but he'd still keep really important things that she should have known about a secret from her- it drove me crazy!

I also was not pleased that it took him until around 89% into the book before Damien told Nikki he loves her. Nikki had been telling him throughout the book that she loves him and he never returned it until that point. He hadn't spoken those three little words to her since she first showed up in Germany to be with him. That was completely unacceptable to me. It's not like he hadn't told her before that he loves her- it should not have taken that long for him to say it again!

The ending of the story felt too rushed for me. I was very disappointed where it ended. I honestly think most of this book could have been cut out and was not necessary to have, especially since there wasn't much of a story throughout the book, and it may have made the book better if it was shorter and some of the boring, unnecessary parts were taken out.

Like I said, if you loved the first 2 books in the series, I'm not trying to discourage anyone from reading this- you may have a totally different opinion than I do. But this book just did not impress me at all and I felt cheated out of a great ending to Damien and Nikki's story, because this book was that bad to me.

I just wanted to add that I never read reviews of books I'm currently reading, but even though I didn't read reviews, I did see that my friends who had an ARC rated this 4 or 5 stars and I honestly thought "What am I missing?" and "What is everyone else seeing in this book that I'm not?" but then I looked past all my friends reviews and saw that other people who I'm not GR friends with had similar ratings as me, but until then I was honestly at a loss as to what everyone was seeing in this book that I wasn't. This book took me longer to read than any other book ever has I think, partly because of being bored by a large majority of it, but also because I kept thinking that if I left it and came back, maybe I'd see it in a new light - sadly that did not happen.

Will I ever read this book again? Absolutely not!
Would I recommend this book to others? Not sure.
Would I ever read a book by this author again? Yes.

"You're my reality."
"And you're mine."

What a perfect ending to a great series!!It was a sexy, emotionally charged romance! This was also more intense and had me on edge throughout!!

Their story takes a lot of twists...Damien and Nikki have a lot more issues with outside people through this book and at times your not really sure who to trust....

description

Damien refuses to share his abuse past and vows to keep information that could sway the court hidden..His past continues to haunt him more than ever..

description

Nikki continued to battle her demons but she was stronger in this book...

I didn't think it was possible to fall anymore in love with Stark than I already was but I was wrong!!!Damien Stark is a sexy beast!Damien is as delicious as he's always been! That man is hot and seriously damaged. We finally find out all of Damien's deep, dark secrets..
I think that Damien grows a lot in this book. He's still the ultimate control freak. But Damien becoming more and more happy the more he shares himself with Nikki...

"You're a goddamn fool,Nikki Fairchild.And I love you desperately."
"Fuck my billions Ms Fairchild. All I care about is you."

description

Nikki and Damien are SUPER HOT!!!
I love all the sex scenes!!And there are a lot in this book!!!

"I want you Nikki" "I wanted to pull you close and strip you naked.I wanted to tie you up and run my fingers over every inch of you.I wanted to bury my face between your legs and bring you to the brink over and over again, never quite letting you come."

I'm going to miss Nikki and Damien. They both went through so much and both had such a tough childhood that you couldn't help but root for them.

Now that I've got your attention....Damien Stark, I've missed you! Complete Me is the dramatic conclusion to the Stark Trilogy. It starts off right where we left off in Claim Me. Damien has huge legal battles ahead and Nikki is at his side. They've both admitted to their love for each other, however, Damien continues to hold things back....to suffer in silence. The only way they seem to cope fighting either of their demons within is through sex....lots of sex.

 photo cb1b4fee282369b06f8383c704458282_zps9345f84d.jpg

I liked this book a lot. Was it my favorite in the series? Not by a long shot. It was very anti-climatic for the first 75%. I felt like even though they went through events that first three quarters of the book, it wasn't all that captivating. Now the sex, the sex was off the hook. When I say these two survive their demons through physical contact, I mean constantly. It's their way....it prevents Nikki's need to cut, it helps rid the filth left within Damon's head from his abusive past at the hands of his tennis coach. It works for them...it's very dysfunctionally functional.

 photo d6c5d9ae24133840156b560e96ae1b01_zps888bd880.jpg

Nikki will do whatever it takes to support Damon. Even if it's losing him. She will do it. Now, the last twenty-five percent of the book we get all the answers that have been in the shadows the entire series essentially. As I said, I kind of wish an entire series wasn't all cleared up in the final few chapters. It took me several days to read the book which is the reason for the four star rating. I easily set this book down for life. It's still an awesome series. I loved their commitment, their chemistry, their story. I will seriously miss these characters. An epilogue would've been awesome just to see where they go from here. We end with a happily ever after but I'd love to see them a month, a year from now.

 photo fd2d6fe311460e1ba6f33670b1206d3e_zps5f9de15b.jpg

As a side note, I'd love to see a Jamie and Ollie story. Something about those two together.....they've both got issues but they just seem to keep gravitating back to each other. A great series... Worth the time to read. Overall rating of series 4.5 stars.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT- 5 stars
STORYLINE- 5 stars
STEAM FACTOR- 5+++ stars
ABILITY TO PUT DOWN- 4 stars
WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK- heck yes!

Hey y'all!

Did you know that Nikki and Damien's story didn't end after Complete Me? In fact, there are three more full-length novels -- Anchor Me, Lost With Me, and Damien (the first story in the entire saga that includes Damien's point of view--in fact, it is written entirely from his point of view!).

There are also several Stark Ever After novellas, the first one being Take Me, which picks up right after Complete Me, and the most recent is Delight Me, a holiday novella that is packaged with a lot of fun bonus content.

Delight Me (Stark Ever After Celebration) by J. Kenner

And Stark World has continued to grow with lots of books including the new Stark Security spin-off series that begins with Shattered With You.

Complete Me is excellent conclusion to this intense and sensual adult romance series! Erotica is not my prefered genre but this series holded my attention from the beginning to the end. Thank you J. Kenner for sharing Nikki's and Damien's story with us!

My Nikki and Damien:

Possible minor spoilers for those who have not read previous books.
Complete Me starts exactly where Claim Me ended. Trial with Damien is about to start and Nikki is standing by his side. As Damien is losing control over his life, Nikki is afraid that he will push her away. Their love for each other is strong and honest, their passion is hot and intense. But will they be able to overcome legal accusations and win the fight against Damien's demons??? Will their relationship survive another secrets and people's attempts to separate them??? Will all those problems make them stronger together or will they tear them apart??? Because sometimes love is not enough...

Nikki's and Damien's relationship is raw, wild and needy. They need each other as they need to breathe but reality is not making it easy for this couple. It is perfectly shown in this instalment which has quite serious and depressive feel. I was rooting for Nikki and Damien finding their hapiness together since first moment I read Release Me and this desire to see them content grew while reading this book. They are perfect for each other and it pained me to see them hurting and going through so much fear and terrible memories in this story.

I was glad to see that despite her inner insecurities, Nikki was trying to stay strong for Damien, never giving up on them and firmly standing by his side and supporting him no matter what.

Damien is very interesting and fascinating character. Vulnerable in past, yet strong and confident in present, fighting against his demons and fighting for his hapiness. Damien is sexual person, full of the hottest passion and desire for his Nikki. His controlling nature turned me on, his caring side made me swoon. I was hurting for this man, for what he had to go through, but on the other side it made me admire him for his ability to survive and live his life to the fullest.

Complete Me is captivating story, full of intense drama and twists. It made my heart beating furiously on more than one occasion and I was shocked by storyline development various times. I was in constant fear of waiting for something terrible to happen, I could feel that something really bad was coming, something that would destroy Nikki's and Damien's bubble they created to protect themselves. But since I do not want to spoil it for you, you will have to find out all yourself.

4.5 Starkalicious Stars!!!!!!

 photo 5476be3a-abf6-41ec-b788-12489f48aa1a_zps887e7a49.jpg

Complete Me is the final installment of the Stark Trilogy. Very rarely do like a heroine as much as a hero, but both Nikki and Damien are incredible, strong characters. I know there are a lot of series/trilogies of the rich, handsome and damaged man- but for some reason, this series is special for me. Its different. All three books have been wonderful and I’m a little sad to see it end.

***Just an FYI- If you haven’t read books one and two of this trilogy- there may be some story line spoilers for the first two books- read with caution!

 photo 11d29847-f7a6-4cd4-b0ba-e3daa7e81008_zpse586a0f7.jpg

We start book three right where book two left off: Damien and Nikki are in Germany and Damien is awaiting trial for murder. Nikki is scared to death. She can’t lose Damien. Damien appears to be okay, but deep down he is nervous as well. As long as he has Nikki by his side, he can withstand anything.
‘I can handle anything except the thought of losing you.’

 photo 5d17ee00-89d2-487d-b26e-891e7601dbfa_zpsac4671b0.jpg

There is something Damien could do that could possibly make this whole mess go away, but he just can’t. Nikki tries to understand. She has demons of her own. But she promises to stick by Damien no matter what, and he does the same for her.

 photo 3aec9945-75fa-4e8e-a168-335812b7222f_zps5b167b86.jpg
‘At the end of the day, it’s just you and me. We make our own reality, Nikki. And no one can take it from us.’

Nikki and Damien go through a lot, but they do it together. They stay strong for each other.
‘You’re what gives me strength. If I am what centers you, Nikki, then you are what anchors me.’
This story line is full of twists, turns, and surprises. I was genuinely shocked more than once. Its a captivating read, I couldn’t put it down. I love J. Kenner’s writing style. I love the fact that she created these two damaged, flawed, characters, and made them absolutely perfect for one another. As I said earlier, I love both of these characters. Nikki’s past just pulls at my heartstrings. She is fragile, but stays strong for Damien. She loves him and would do anything to protect him. Damien Stark is just something else. He is an alpha male, protective, sexy, swoony, and oh so in love with Nikki. They are both willing to make any sacrifice needed for each other. Damien has a tortured soul, but he is a beautiful man.
“I want to hold you close. To cherish and protect you. To draw you in until we are so close that I am lost within you. I want to take you to bed, to watch the way your skin tightens beneath my fingers, the way your body awakens under my touch. I want to trail kisses over you until you are lost in so much pleasure that you don’t know where you end and I begin. I want to tie you up and fuck you until there is no doubt that you are mine. I want to dress you up and take you out, and show you off, this beautiful, vibrant, brilliant woman. Everything I’ve built? All my billions? They have no value compared to you.”

This story was a little different for me than the first two, but not in a bad way. And those of you who have read the first two, you know how steamy they are- let me tell you, this one does not disappoint! Damien Stark is just sex on a stick. These two are scorching hot together!

An emotional, beautiful, sexy and incredible trilogy. If you haven’t read it, you are missing out! The only thing I wish was a little different, I was hoping for more of a further down the line epilogue, but I was happy where the story ended. A solid 4.5 star read for me!

I don't know what happened in this book. I read this because I had enjoyed the previous two books. And after, how the last book ended, I HAD to know what happened with Damien and the trial. I started it, excited to see what was to come and then I was left disappointed. Why? Well, because the trial that was held in Germany, began as quickly as it ended. It was actually quite anticlimactic. I was happy for Damien, but what on earth was that? I was waiting for the trial and that was all I got? A little angst would have been good. But unfortunately, I was left wanting more. I also didn't like how cold Damien could be at times. But after I realized why, I understood his behaviour. Still, didn't like it, though.

“I'm going to make you come harder and longer than you ever have before, baby, and I'm going to feel every shudder, every ripple of that orgasm as it rips through you because I am going to be right here holding tight to you, buried deep inside you. And, Nikki, I'm not ever letting go.”

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

Then came the sex. It started out really steamy and awesome. I loved remembering how hot Damien could be. But then, it quickly became repetitive. It was the same thing over, and over, and over again. I couldn't believe it. There was just way too much sex in this book. I can't believe I'm saying this too, but it needed more drama. I was bored during some parts and I had to skim through it. I loved the teasing but soon it started to get really old really fast. I was so frustrated by how drawn out the sex scenes were, and not in a hot and bothered kind of way. I still think Damien is one sexy beast, but had the book not been filled with sex, I would have enjoyed it more.

I was surprised that in this book, I really liked Nikki's best friend Jamie more than I did in the previous ones. I think it is because she is trying to be better for herself. I became really curious about her and began to hope that she would get her own book. She isn't perfect and has her own things to overcome like Nikki. I wanted to know why she is the way she is. Anyways, I liked how she turned around in this book. Unfortunately, one character I ended up caring less about was her other "ex" best friend Ollie. He was awesome in the first, then annoying in the second. In this one, despite his best efforts to ammend their relationship, I didn't really care about what happened to him. I was really sad about that. This book wasn't completely bad though, there were many sweet moments between Nikki and Damien. I really enjoyed their chemistry. Damien was still able to make me swoon with the things that he said. And I still very much liked them both a lot.

The only thing that was able to hold my interest was finding Sophia. Damien was worried about her disappearance and was worried about finding her. I also wanted to find out who kept stalking and sending those terrible things to Nikki. I had a few theories, but as it neared the end, I realized who it was and I ended up being right. What I wasn't expecting was that that person was showing their face this whole time. But what I didn't like was in the manner in which the person revealed themselves. Again, it was so anticlimactic.

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

“You’re what gives me strength. If I am what centers you, Nikki, then you are what anchors me. Every time I touch you, every time I bury myself deep inside you—Nikki, don’t you see? You are the talisman of my life, and if I lose my grip on you, then I have lost myself.”

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

The ending was lovely but it seemed quite rushed to me. I did enjoy how it concluded for Nikki and Damien, but I am not convinced they have overcomed everything they needed to. I'm not sure the way they need each other to 'live' is a healthy thing. Don't get me wrong, I am extremely happy they are together because they are perfect for each other. But still, they need to find a way to be apart, so they will work together in the long run. What was also missing was an epilogue. I would have liked a glimpse of what was in store for them in the future, but I didn't get it. Overall, I feel like this book could have been incorporated in the previous book, if all the sex had been cut out of it. Nothing really happened in the beginning until the last 15%. That is when it got interesting. I did enjoy the feel good ending way more than I did the start of this. It was a good read, but it was not my favourite.

3.5 - 4 ★'s

So we come to the final book in the Stark Trilogy and things are up in the air. Damien and Nikki are in Germany hoping to put things to rest regarding the charges brought against Damien. Nikki's getting threatening calls and emails and the paparazzi are over the top.

There were a lot of things I liked about this book and some things I didn't but more than anything, I think I got a bit OD on this couple and their drama. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the all the sex!

description

Damien's still keeping secrets and it's incredibly frustrating especially because he does seem to be trying. He's either clueless to how relationships work or extremely manipulating (hint, hint).

And Nikki's not doing too well with all the pressure. Thoughts of cutting are in her mind much more but she's determined to fight it.

It was hard going through the trial and then Damien's reaction after. I don't really blame Nikki for her response and I would be suspicious of all these women too! I did like how Damien was always reassuring her and taking care of her.

There's a lot of who did what going on and it lead to lots of theories for me. I was right about one and a little right about the second but I liked how JK put things all together. It definitely kept me interested and wanting to find out more...instead of reading about all the sex!

Did I say that? LOL...yes, the sex gets a little repetitive. There's just too much of it and I was past the point of caring what toy Damien brought out or how wet Nikki was! Enough is enough!

description

I did like the romance though especially after the big drama. I loved how they both were so affected! And Ollie? Who would have thought?

Overall, I enjoyed the series and would definitely recommend it if you enjoy stories like this. For me, they never get old...thank goodness.

I love you Nikki. I say it with every touch, with every look, with every breath that I take. I love you. I love you so much it hurts."

Sigh, what is it about these billionaires that pull me in? I must admit, that I'm not going to turn one down if he offers to come and rescue me and offer me the world, but the ones I've read about it's not so much the money that has me hanging on their every word. They all seem to come from things in the past that have driven them to want more, and then when they find that just right girl they fall head over hells and become over the top protective and possessive and I love it.

Meet Damien. I'm not sure if I used this guy in every review or not, but I just keep coming back to this guy and this picture.

"It's too big, too powerful. There's no start and no end, nothing with which I can measure the length and breadth of what I feel for you. I look at you and wonder how I can possibly survive the riot of emotions within me. You and I know better than anyone how pain and pleasure walk hand in hand. Passion, Nikki, remember? And with you, it fills me. Everything I've built? All my companies? All my billions? They have no value compared to you."

The story begins in this book right where Claim Me left off. Damien is facing murder charges in Germany. He has one option to prove he's not guilty, but that proof isn't something he's willing to share, even if it costs him going to prison and loosing Nikki. Nikki is a mess, she understands why he doesn't want the proof brought forward, but at the same time she selfishly is afraid to loose him. (I kinda gotta say I understood her selfishness here, I mean she was afraid of loosing the love of her life to prison here.) She finally agrees with Damien that he's right about the proof and she doesn't blame him or want him to bring the evidence forward.

To Damien, the sun will never set on our love.

Problem is, somebody has other ideas in mind, which ultimately let's Damien off from the murder charges, but doesn't make his life any easier or Nikki's for that matter. Damien and Nikki try to move on with their lives together, but with the threat over their head of who helped Damien escape the murder charges, what their motives are, and a stalker after Nikki, moving ahead isn't as easy as they want it to be.

"Between Damien and me, sex is as necessary as conversation. It's our method of discovery. Our sharing of trust. And our ultimate surrender.

This was a really good ending to this trilogy. If you read my status updates you know the book is jam packed with hot sex. Did I enjoy it? Yes, it was out of this world hot. I think some of my GR friends thought I was complaining, lol. Not really complaining, just sometimes it seemed the storyline got lost in overabundance of sex. But I get why they needed to sex it up so much. When Damien gets in his uber sexy dom mood, he is out of this world bossy sexy controlling man, and I love it. Damien needs to have Nikki's submission in the bedroom to help him sort through all types of crap in his life that gets out of his control, while Nikki needs to connect with Damien in order to feel alive when shit gets so deep all she desperately wants is to cut herself. Pain and pleasure with them run a fine line. With their world unraveling due to situations out of their control this makes them need to sex it up more than not. And the scene with the pearls.... How these two have that much stamina is beyond me, but hey, if you have might as well enjoy it. ;)

When all of the truths started coming out, for me, that's when the story really got good. Like 5 star quality good. The only thing was it was the last 20% of the book. I so had I understood why Nikki made the choice she made, it was all for Damien, and in turn proved how much she really loved him, but I felt like if she just would have been honest with him about what happened they could have avoided all of that But hey, it wasn't my story and made for a dramatic moment, so I'm not complaining. Of course that situation did make them understand just how much they did love each other. haha, don't you love it when I'm cryptic and leave you wondering what the hell I'm talking about, haha, you gotta read it. :)

I'm sorta hoping there is maybe a short novella or something to come. As much as Damien and Nikki have overcome, I would have liked to have had at least an epilogue that looked into their future or something. Especially with an ending like that, it needed at least an epilogue to finish everything out. I definitely see an opportunity for another book series to come, about Jamie and possibly...Ollie??? Maybe then we will get the rest of Damien and Nikki's story from Jamie's POV. I Loved Nikki, loved seeing her getting stronger and learn to fight her urge even though she's not completely healed and Loved Loved Damien and his overprotective, possessive self!!! I'm glad he finally felt secure enough to let Nikki in and share secrets with her, even if he admitted he'll always have secrets.

If you liked book 1 and 2...this one will not disappoint!

Nikki and Damien have been through so much up to this point. Damien is now facing unthinkable murder charges. He has left Nikki to go to Germany and deal with the fallout from his past.

Nikki who has her own demons to face, finds she must confront Damien and keep him from turning away from her. Damien is intense, passionate and loyal to a fault.

Nikki begins receiving unusual threats. Damien begins to wonder if he can keep Nikki safe. Nikki has no idea where the threats are coming from or what will happen next.

But Nikki is not going down so easily. Nikki and Damien begin to rely on each other and draw strength from one another to move forward.

Damien is the absolute epitome of Alpha male. Nikki is a born submissive and when Damien is in charge...all bets are off.

"I want the universe spread wide before you. And I want to be the one who sends you tumbling over, shooting off into space, without control, without inhibitions" -Damien

The thing I love about these books... Nikki is smart. She is not your typical doormat girlfriend that are so often scripted in this type of book. She could and has stood on her own two feet. Damien is completely loyal to her and loves her.

This series is not one to be missed. This is particular book is a bit of this...

and a bit of this...

"I am need personified-and what I need is Damien."-Nikki

Oh, and we can not forget the villain who leaves us reeling and threatens everything. He/She will be revealed as will the motive behind the madness...

5 Damienized Stars!!!

Complete Me is the PERFECT conclusion to the Stark Trilogy.

Please give me a few minutes to calm myself… I’m over flowing with emotions right now

First off, Book 1, Release Me review is here - > HERE

Book 2, Claim Me review is here - > HERE

Now, there will be minor spoilers from previous 2 books, but NONE from Complete Me.

[Review Time… really just me gushing]

Complete Me picks up right where Claim Me leaves off. Damien and Nikki are in Germany, since Damien is being tried for murder. Okay, so this is pretty intense right? Nikki is concerned for Damien, but is 100% determined to stick by her man. Damien is pretty stressed and how does he release his stress?

With the help of Nikki of course!

I love Nikki, she’s strong, loyal, determined and just all around a great Heroine

If I could write this whole review about how much I LOVE Damien I would. Okay, let me just pin-point some qualities.

Damien is Dominate – Controlling – Strong – Possessive - Arrogant – 100% MALE – SEXY

I really could go on and on… I just LOVE HIM!

(Above Quote is from Release Me)

Empirically, he is gorgeous. But it is not simply his looks that overwhelm. It is the whole package. The power, the confidence, the bone-deep sensuality that he couldn’t shake even if he tried. - excerpt from juliekenner.com

Of course Nikki and Damien face issues. There’s plenty that goes on, with the upcoming trial, Nikki’s few insecurities, Damien is still guarded and so much more!

“I love you,” I say.

“I know,” he says, and though I wait for the reciprocal words to come, he doesn’t say them back to me.
– excerpt from juliekenner.com

It just kills me! Every time Nikki opens up and Damien doesn’t say those 3 words, oh.my.gah, BUT I love him and you will too because of his actions.

Do not worry, there is no frustration in this book, you will 100% love Damien and Nikki. The tension that is there is just written so brilliantly, you will not stop reading until you are finished!

Oh and the steam! Loved every second of it!

1/5 ⭐️

- This book took me so long to finish and I feel like it was because the book felt almost identical to the second book in this series. I feel like the same exact things kept happening over and over.
- I’ve always been the type of person that wants to finish any series that I start, but I just don’t think I can finish this one. This spice was off the charts, but really unbelievable at times.
- I did enjoy the friendships in this book, but the romance was giving soap opera at times which isn’t my vibe.

4 Stars…..”Complete Me” is the last installment of the continuing erotic love story between Nikki Fairchild and Billionaire Damien Stark. Damien is a true Alpha: domineering, protective, controlling and intensely passionate. He is haunted through-out the series by his demons. But, despite his ghosts, Nikki is his talisman. Even though she is constantly battling her own weaknesses, she is the source of his strength.

The story begins in Germany where Damien is facing the court battle of his life and the source of his darkness. We see his character retreat even further. Damien is the master of cloaking his secrets, but Nikki never fails and is constantly battling to thwart his further retreat.

As we see the couple travel though Europe and make their way back home, we see Nikki slowly chipping away at the wall of secrets Damien has erected, while fighting to control her own weaknesses. Nikki’s control on her fragilities is constantly challenged due to mysterious threats – which kicks Damien’s protective instincts into high gear.

Eventually, all walls are dismantled and Damien comes to terms with his past, let’s Nikki into his heart, and they declare their true love for one another.

“Complete Me” is filled with delicious love scenes that can melt panties – a love story loaded with enough mystery, angst and passion to make your heart race. 4 passionate stars for a good ending to this series.

Well, this was an incredibly romantic and very sexy conclusion to the Stark Trilogy. It’s sensual and evocative, full of raw passion, heart melting tenderness and heart stopping emotion. It’s a beautiful story that shows just how love really does conquer all.

We’re back with Nikki and Damien in Germany as he prepares to stand trial for murder. There’s an air of desperation as they try to hide away in a private little bubble knowing, all the while, that reality is out there, waiting for the chance to rip them apart, possibly forever. They indulge themselves in really hot sex as they try to block out what lies ahead and forget the disaster that is looming large on the horizon.

“Fuck reality,” he whispers when he releases me. “I want to stay in our bubble as long as we can.”

I did really enjoy this one and definitely felt that I got the closure I needed after embarking on this series and investing in Nikki and Damien. Right from the beginning we’ve been aware of their awful childhoods, Nikki’s propensity to self-harm, Damien’s history of abuse and the barriers and obstacles that all these place between them and finding that elusive Happy Ever After. That’s not to mention the ever-growing threat to Nikki’s safety which will frighten the seemingly unflappable Damien Stark

Looking at all three books as a whole trilogy, I would probably put this right up there near the top of the list of erotic romances. Damien is an intense, dominant and very caring hero who very much commands your attention every time he appears on a page. It’s no wonder that he has a legion of female fans out there melting into puddles at his feet. He’s very sexy and there’s a whole lot of steamy action right through the entire trilogy which is BDSM-lite – really nothing more hardcore than a little bondage and a little light spanking. It’s really just kinky sex – very, very hot kinky sex. Damien’s life has been radically changed by Nikki – he’s still that self-assured billionaire we met right back at the beginning of Release Me but now his whole focus in life is her. Nothing is more important to him and he will do anything to keep her safe and to keep them together.

You’re what gives me strength. If I am what centers you, Nikki, then you are what anchors me. Every time I touch you, every time I bury myself deep inside you—Nikki, don’t you see? You are the talisman of my life, and if I lose my grip on you, then I have lost myself

I enjoyed getting inside Nikki’s head and I thought J. Kenner did a great job of sympathetically handling the issue of self-harm and letting us understand the thought processes that see Nikki on the verge of holding something sharp against her skin, desperate to feel that pinch of pain as a way of blocking out the emotional distress that threatens to overwhelm her. Nikki grew from strength to strength as the series progressed as she drew on the love that Damien gave her and it empowered her and, in the final book, we find her moving on with life professionally and growing in confidence.

There’s a great host of secondary characters, none of them very happy, and I sure hope that the author has something planned for Jamie – that girl is holding out for a hero and she needs one pretty darned soon. If I have any criticisms it would be that the second book dragged a little for me and seemed low on plot right until the very end and I did actually find the murder trial rather anti-climactic. I do understand why it was done as it sets in motion events that will have far reaching effects on the rest of the book BUT, if you love erotic romance and I really do love erotic romance, this one will definitely work for you especially if you love a tortured and dominant billionaire and, if you’ve not tried this series yet, now is the time to buy all three and read them one after another. I truly believe that you would get the most out of them reading them that way.

There’s an incredibly romantic ending that will have fans of this series sighing with satisfaction and I think I can guarantee you closure at the end of this one.

That's a Wrap... Or Is It?

The conclusion of the trilogy had me glued. Even though I've read this series a few times now in the nearly decade that it's been out in the world, I still struggled to walk away from it. Danger lurks, as does the possibility of a murder conviction. And the drama doesn't stop there!

I think things got a bit wilder in this installment but the heat continues to be through the roof! There were so many times that I wanted to be Nikki and experience all of the sensations and pleasure with Damien. 🔥💥🎉

While I'd read this a couple of times previously, I'm adding audio this time, having again borrowed the audio from my local library. As I've mentioned, Sofia Willingham sounds EXACTLY as I've imagined Nikki all of these years. She does a good job with Damien but it's not as I expected him to sound.

Don't fear! This is neither the end for Damien and Nikki nor MANY of the supporting cast. Apparently, Julie Kenner is as enamored with this world as I am. She has written numerous offshoots and follow-ups in the Stark Universe. 😘🔥💚

UPDATED 7/2023:

J Kenner Stark Trilogy bk 03 Complete Me

I think one of the things that keeps me coming back to this trilogy is not only the chemistry between Nikki and Damien, but also the friendship with Jamie and the light moments (like when they go to a club or hang out playing poker or spa days, etc) that they experience with just two of them or all three. I love that Damien recognizes that Nikki would do anything for Jamie and he supports it instead of trying to get in the way.

I again borrowed a copy of the audio book. I still like Sofia Willingham as Nikki Fairchild. She's... OK as Damien Stark.

My goal now is to continue the recommended reading order for the Stark Universe, as provided by J. Kenner - https://www.juliekenner.com/faq/what-.... I keep getting distracted from this. I've read Jackson's and Evan's books, plus a couple of others, but I've yet to make it through the entire thing. Wish me luck on staying the course this time.

Nikki Fairchild will live on in my fantasies, but this novel will not. Let me back up a minute and expand upon this point. COMPLETE ME, like Release Me and Claim Me before it, are well-written novels. Well, as well-written as one should expect from an erotica novel, with characters that pop off the page and sex scenes that nearly popped out my eyeballs, and I found myself having a hard time containing my enjoyment. And this novel, like the two before it, contained plenty of sin-filled passion and bed rocking orgasms.

And Nikki was the poster child for a sub in a BDSM relationship with Damien Stark, who was forced to deal with his own childhood trauma, controlling the reins. While I have absolutely no basis for comparison, and I could be way off base here, she had a troubled childhood with an overbearing mother; she resorted to cutting to help her deal with her multitude of emotional issues; and she sees pain as her escape outlet, her release. While it’s possible some people may not judge their relationship as healthy, who am I to judge what defines a healthy relationship? If it works for them, and it works within the confines of the story, then I’ll judge it based on those merits.

And it works. I had other problems with this trilogy, but not when it came to the foundation that was Damien and Nikki. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that he’s a former tennis star with steel rods for arms, and she’s a former pageant queen who has put on a few “extra” pounds in all the right places. So, yes, we’ve skipped right over reality, and we’re delving into the fantasy realm here people. But who doesn’t want to read about two beautiful people humping like bunny rabbits? If these two stars were overweight and unattractive, keeping all other elements the same, these novels wouldn’t have taken off like a rocket headed for outer space. It’s hard not to get caught up in the gravitational pull with your head plastered to the leather seat, your lips forming a constant grimace, and the engine rocking your eardrums.

But before you think these novels are all lollipops and tangerines, we need to discuss the issues I had with this series, as the problems I had with Claim Me have spilled over into this final chapter. First, I had an issue with length. Sure, length is important, and many folks might say the longer the better, but I don’t like filler and artificial conflict. This novel, like the previous chapter, had more of both than I would have liked to see.

If not for Nikki, warts and all, and the mind numbing, nearly believable sex, I wouldn’t have enjoyed this trilogy nearly as much. If you want a well-written novel filled with literary prose, you’ll probably want to look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for a fanciful, somewhat accurate portrayal of the BDSM lifestyle (based on my limited knowledge), with characters that are more than just cardboard cutouts, and have a bit more experience than twenty-two year-old virgins, COMPLETE ME could just fit the bill.

I received this book for free through NetGalley.

This is perfect cracking finale! Just perfect and nice. The book picks from Claim Me where we see Damien hits the court! Damien and Nikki goes up and downs and it's definitely be a wonderful love journey! I enjoyed it!

What can I say about his third installment? A really good ending to the trilogy and definitely my favorite in the series.

description

Damien and Nikki have already been through hell, but apparently it was not yet enough because it not seems possible for them to have a 5 minutes rest.
They’re more in love than ever and they both need the other to heal and to soothe their wounds and everything its perfect when they’re alone, but they can’t live in a bubble forever. The outside world and their own traumas threaten to come between them.

description

Between Damien’s trial, the things from his past that are on the edge of becoming public which could be a big issue, between his past and her fears, the people that are always trying to come between them and a stalker that has no rest on pursuing Nikki wherever she goes with alarmingly unknown intentions, it seems the whole world is unite to try break them apart.
Damien needs to be in control, Nikki needs the pain to remember that she always can overcome it, and they're the only ones who can give that to each other and completely trust the other with their ghosts.
But despite their complete love and faith in the other… sometimes life’s a bitch and love is just not enough. And sometimes the ghosts from the past are too big and just can't stay hidden in the past.
And that’s a struggle that they'll have until the end when they'll have to realize if their love can really overcome everything or if sometimes things aren't just meant to be.

description

I loved this book. Every part of it.
The romance and the steam are all here and even better (yes, it’s possible!) and the characters we came to love (Damien, Damien!!!) are better than ever.
It was a very good ending to the series, although a have just one small complaint: the end was TOO short.
After all they'd been through they deserved a SO MUCH better (and longer) ending.
Don’t get me wrong: is sweet and everything we hoped for, but too simple and too fast.
I really hope that the author will do a separate epilogue or something like that, because this trilogy really needs it.

Seriously, if you read the previous ones in the series you can’t miss it! ;)

Well, not only the movie scene is over but it's also the final conclusion to Damien Stark's and Nikki Fairchild's passionate and emotional wound up relationship...and boy, was it just like the movies, a huge blockbuster and an epic love...

Hmmm, but is it the end...or only just the beginning?

And after all that is been going on, after all that they've been through, it payed off cause they prevailed, they found each other within one another, like two halves in one...

Complete Me is book 3 in the adult Stark Trilogy series, by J. Kenner . This series should be read sequentially to be enjoyed properly.

Ok, so I love both main characters Nikki and Damien. Both have mysteries and tortured histories that unfold in each book. J. Kenner’s writing style leaves you in suspense and hungry for resolutions. Both Nikki and Damien find themselves struggling with hidden secrets which eventually are uncovered in surprising and unique ways. What this did to me is make me want to stop listening to the audiobook and read it on my tablet where I can skim forward. (But, I didn’t.)

Nikki must have an extreme form opposite of hypoactive sexual desire disorder, or HSDD, she’s got HYPERactive SDD , seemingly always Turned ON , unless she’s in retail therapy mode. “Some things are as sacred as sex, shoes are among them!!”

Damien is definitely tuned in to many varieties of sensual schemes, Toys, lap dancing, mile-high club initiations, limo action, bandage scissors in a limo?, and strip poker, all generating lots of laughter.

Secrets and intrigue continue to play a large role in this fine book. Who to trust, and who to be cautious around kept me guess who the culprits were. World building and character development were done well with a great main plot and multiple subplots.

Another Very STEAMY fantastic adult read from J. Kenner and of course I am becoming a bit more comfortable with light bdsm as long as it accelerates the sensual enjoyment. This series certainly met that goal on multiple occasions. I will seek out more Kenner books.

Damien[from his tennis court]

Aly: Hello Maru. We meet again to review one of our buddy reads. Most important question: did you like it?
Maru: Yes, I liked it...didn´t love though, I felt like it was 50 shades-ish mixed with Croosfire, but it was really good...and I really liked the hero. What about you?
Aly: I did as well, though in my opinon it was more like Crossfire then 50... I really liked the heroine though, she was smart
Maru: Yeah, agreed! I loved that about her, she has the beauty (and knows she is beautiful and doesn´t act all "what?? me beautiful??") and the brains
Aly: Exactly! And I loved that she let Damien give her presents! None of that "oooh it's too much" and other stuff. It really pisses me of when that happens. The man thinks of you and goes to the trouble of giving you smth and you cheapen it with your bullshit..
Maru: Yes!! that was great! It pisses me off too...bc we all love to receive gifts
Aly: I know I do! And I love beautiful things so I would totally keep them . I'm mercenary like that ;;)
Maru: That´s two of us
Aly: :)) We're a bad example for teenage girls
Maru: Yes, good thing teenagers won´t read our review then...
Aly: :))) I wouldn't be so sure Now... The man of the hour: Damien. I love him and his dirty talk!

Maru: OMG...yes, he is THE dirty talker
Aly: Besides his great voice and mind I enjoyed his generosity

Aly: He worked a lot for his success and money but didn’t have problems parting with it to make Nikki happy or her friends
Maru: Yes, he was unlike some heroes we read about... I really liked that about him, we are happy together and we can be happy separated (at least for a few hours), and he included her friends, didn´t monopolize her time. So, yeah he was like the perfect boyfriend
Maru: Yes. Kudos to the author for that! Another thing I liked of the books, is that they were no cliffhangers
Aly: Yhea... It's like the author put together the best characteristics in men over the place
Aly: I agree with you about the cliffhangers. Though we didn’t wait for the books to come out, it felt good not to be desperate to see if someone died in the 1st chapter of the next book or similar to it
Maru: Hahaha....yeah that´s true! Thank God we waited!!
Aly: I hate waiting! What did you think of the secondary characters?
Maru: Yeah me too....but sometimes curiosity wins . I loved her horndog friend Jamie, though I felt bad for her a bit for not making in Hollywood...and Ollie I´m not sure, he was kind of balls lacking. He was in a relationship bc it was easy and we could tell he really liked Jamie, soooo that´s a new book for the author!
Aly: Jamie was a wreck, but a lovable one. Ollie I didn’t like at all! He went on and on about Damine and he cheated on his GF, really?! Shut up you!
Maru: Yeah, he pointed out the wrong in others...but dude look at your life first before speaking of others
Aly: I hated her mom and his dad! It's like they competed for worst parents in the world, ever!
Maru: OMG!!!!! I hated them
Aly: That covers it

Maru: Her mom was a bitch, and his dad...ay ay ay....as you say, worst parents in the world award.
Aly: I liked what the author did differently then the other billionaire book authors: The painting in book 1 and the idea of the trial in 3…. I loved how outrageous Damien was with the nude!
Maru: Really liked that, and then that the heroine wasn´t whinny and hero was not exasperating. Yes, love that too!!
Aly: True, true
Maru: That was a nice change
Aly: I never wanted to slap either of them, not even once!
Maru: Yeah, I was thinking of doing a lot of slapping but no...not even once!
Aly: I didn't :))
Maru: I just thought it was going to be like all the other millionaire turn dom books, but it really surprised me.
Aly: Since we started talking about slaping :)) how do you feel about their coping mechanisms?
Maru: I felt really sorry for Nikki, that she had to do that in order to be able to go through a lot of stuff (included her mother). What about you?
Aly: The same. Though, later on they did well together… If you know what I mean *coough*
Maru:

Aly: =))))))))) What was your favorite scene? I think mine were:
1st book the airplane scene, when he let her "drive" his plane
2nd: at the end, when she did the interview and went after him
3nd book: the lingerie store
Maru: Those are my faves as well!! I LOVED the scene in the store! "I found something else you´d like" and Damien appears *swoon*
Aly: :))) And quotes?
Maru: One sec! let me check...I think most are from book 3
Aly: The same from me, since I forgot to save any from the other 2
Maru: #1 “At the end of the day, it’s just you and me. We make our own reality, Nikki. And no one can take it from us.”
#2 “I want to hold you close. All my companies? All my billions? They have no value compared to you.”
Yours??
Aly: #1 “But I have a blind spot where you’re concerned, Nikki.”
“Aw, really? That’s so romantic.” I cross my arms over my chest. “Get over it.”

It made me laugh so hard!
And this one:
#2 "You’re what gives me strength. If I am what centers you, Nikki, then you are what anchors me.
Damien
I almost melted...
Maru: *sigh* I want a Damien....where can I find him??
Aly: A lovely way to end the review, IMO :))
Maru: :D

“At the end of the day, it’s just you and me. We make our own reality, Nikki. And no one can take it from us.”

As the third and final installment of the J. Kenner’s Stark Trilogy Complete Me fell flat for this reader. I have enjoy this series thus far but I found this conclusion be just okay. The writing was strong and the twists in the story were as well but somewhere amongst the sex the story lost it’s excitement.

I fell for Damien Stark in the first book of this series. He held mystery and strong magnetism that could keep any readers attention (I still think the limo phone call scene was one of the most erotic scenes I have read).

Once again, Damien was sexy and swoon worthy! Damien reveals his fears and past in the second book of this series and had this reader excited and nervous to see how he gets out this predicament as well as where things with Nikki will lead.

“Fuck my billions, Ms. Fairchild. All I care about is you.”

Perhaps, Nikki’s character and inner thoughts dragged this book’s excitement down several notches. Her constant thoughts of cutting were endless which led this reader to wish a therapist visit once a week would be helpful. But the stalker, secret pictures and blackmail aspects were exciting. I may have lost interest in Nikki but Damien held my attention to the end!

Anyway, fans will be happy with the ending although a kick ass epilogue would be nice. Perhaps a small novella? Please get on this!!
