flat-out fun.
the first half had me huffing a laugh every other page, and the last scene had me reaching for my junk before i even knew what i was doing.

Fun fact: my omegaverse love will always begin and end with Sterek fanfiction.
This 40-page fic hit all my warm squiggly heart buttons, exploring an omegaverse reality where high school sophomore Stiles presents as an omega and it triggers senior Derek to late bloom as an alpha.
The awkward, so-very-Derek courting that ensues was seriously smile-inducing, as Derek fumbles his way through his new, intense need to please and be near Stiles, while fighting off irrational jealousies (over silly Scott) and facing down the Sheriff, who is none-too-pleased that the older Hale kid has set his sights on his underage son.
All things considered, this was very sweet and swoon-y, with a dash of passion and steam at the end, when, inevitably, this new alpha and his tempting omega heat up the sheets in spectacular style.
Loved it.

Stiles is 16 and suddenly finds out he is an omega. When 18 year old Derek accidentally bursts in the exam room when Stiles is getting undressed, Derek finds out he is an alpha (because he pops a knot, right then and there). He is a bit late and therefore everyone thought he would be a beta. But he is indeed an alpha. An alpha looking to take care of his omega.
Derek and Stiles are drawn to each other, but their parents think Stiles is just too young to be courted. But Derek and Stiles just can’t keep away from each other.
I LOVED this one. I loved protective Derek. And the way that these two are drawn to each other, so incredibly romantic! They had a bit of a star-crossed lovers thing going on.

This was really cute! Stiles presents as Omega, Derek walks in on him half naked (thanks, Peter!), and pops his first knot.
My only real complaint it, I would have liked some note of how they were before. Did they notice each other much at school, were there already hidden crushes on either part. In this, they knew who each other was, but that's about all that was said.
ETA: THIS is how I like A/B/O done- where one just happens to be an omega, but isn't thought of as less then, or weak, or the "little woman" type, with less rights than their alpha and beta buddies.

I want to say that this hits my A/B/O sweet spot, but that sounds kind of filthy. Moving on, I'll say instead that this is my favorite fandom subgenre which tragically for myself means that most of the time I'm disappointed by A/B/O stories: not so here. This was a nice length, with acceptably scalding heat levels, and an excellent deployment of the trope.
Bottom line: loved it, will almost certainly reread it.

Cute, YA/NA Sterek...there was something almost perfect about it. Almost. So 4 stars.

My god, this is so good. More importantly it's free! Yes, this shorty is YA. But it's so sweet and so HOT. I think I really liked them in high school setting. You know, freaking horny teenagers. The only thing that's not good is... It's too short. I want mooore. XD

I am not a fan of the A/B/O verse, but I do like the high school AU Stereks and I am happy to say this is a nice mix. Youthful innocence coming of age, some tension from parental disapproval and mixed with some sexy times.

This story is about Stiles presenting as an omega, causing Derek to present as alpha, and all the drama that entails. It has all the tropes that I really like in this type of AU: heat, knotting, mates, it is all there. Yeah baby!

The attraction and sex was smoking hot...I even liked the way Derek's feelings and insecurities were at first dismissed and discounted at the expense of Stiles' new Omega presentation/protection/consideration - and then finally someone realized all of the insane hormones were affecting Derek as well since he had never been prepared for being an Alpha. The apology was bittersweet and nice.
But still...it was lacking something I can't put my finger on to make me love this story.

So in this version Talia Hale is alive. Derek has only Cora and Laura as siblings. Stiles is an omega, attending the same high school as Derek (there's a two years difference). Derek becomes an Alpha and discovers his knot after walking in on Stiles naked in a hospital room. Ensure baking cookies, courtship, alpha urges, mate claiming, a slight misunderstanding with Scott. And a final sex scene complete with knotting.
It all read like fast forward. I hardly knew when I read through the whole thing. There were a couple of funny moments, some angst and pining over someone. We even get a chapter from the Sheriff's POV. Satisfying enough.

Very short, kinda cute....well I think Derek was adorable. Instant change/attraction for both. Giant build up to knotting. So short I would normally not give a high rating, but it was very sweet especially Talia and Sherif Stalinski.

I feel so indecisive about this fic. Did I like it? Maybe? Idk. I like wolf dynamics, but not really the whole ABO thing. I also prefer the actual romance to the smut and this was like 10% romance and 90% smut.
