Additionally, there are review questions at the end of the book that will make this an engaging and thought-provoking read for book clubs and individual readers alike.
Book two of the series sees the characters evolve. Together Jason lives in modern day Tennessee while communicating with his fantasy cohort (Kyne) through Gameboy with the common goal of survival and reclaiming their duel Lynvia royal heritage. While Jason avoids the mob in America through friends with psychic tendencies, Kyne is fighting off goblins amidst dragons in Lynvia. Both have the mission of saving the lives of their father and a friend's father in both realms. Perfect for the YA reader in that it maintains their attention through one adventure after another, switching between realms. Included is some correlation with scripture and the Bible that offers a moral compass to the theme. An excellent gift for a YA reader who enjoys a combination of a fantasy theme interwoven with a bit of reality.
The second book in this series is just as good as the first. Magic, adventures, mobsters and drama make for the perfect mix to continue the story of Kyne and his friends. Add in some dragons and goblins and this is a book that is going to keep you going from one adventure to the next. Well written with a well developed plot. I was given a copy of this book for my honest opinion.
