After the massive cliffhangers that the first two books ended with, I was a little surprised at how nice and tidy everything wrapped up at the end of 'Sugar Free'. I knew it was the last book in the series going into it, but I just couldn't believe that it would really provide answers to all of my questions. Alas, it did all of that and more.

Like the first two books in the 'Sugar Bowl' series, you can expect to be kept on the edge of your seat right to the end. Sela and Beck still have their work cut out for them. Her rash actions have landed them in a world of trouble. Despite her good intentions, Sela only seems to make things worse, no matter what she tries.

As Sela tries to come to terms with the consequences of her actions, Beck is potentially on the hook for a crime he didn't commit. It will take a lot of legal maneuvering and a stroke of luck to get him out of this mess. He's willing to do whatever it takes to protect Sela, even if it means doing time for a murder he didn't commit.

More secrets come to light related to JT as well. Aside from his parentage, which may have been the worst-kept secret ever, he had some closely-guarded information that does not bode well for Beck. Surprisingly, Beck's own father is a major contributor to this deceit.

Despite the turmoil and sense of uncertainty that looms throughout most of the book, you can rest assured that some things stay predictable. Beck and Caroline's parent are still horrible human beings. The world is a better place without JT drawing breath. Beck and Sela re still head-over-heels for each other.

In the end, all of my questions were answered and I felt content with the way things worked out. In fact, I received the answers to questions that I didn't even know that I had. The author providedone of the longest epilogues in history to tie up all the loose ends and I couldn't have been happier. This was a great ending to a great series. Although, I'll be on the lookout for a spin-off in the future featuring Caroline and a certain security guy.

"What you and I have, Sela... no one will ever comprehend it. No one will ever come in between it. But it's real and it's ours, and I'm never letting it go."

5 Stars!

Sawyer Bennett just threw some nice and powerful fireballs in this thrilling finale of Sugar Bowl series. This book had to be one of the most nerve pounding books that I've read. It provided unforgettable twist and turns that had me on edge and a beautiful ending that really satisfied.

Sugar Free is the third and final book of the series. It picks up where Sugar Rush left off. As describing the premise will just lead to spoilers, I won't be giving it. What you just need to know is this: The series continues to become darker and edgier, some minor gory scenes were thrown in so expect yourself to cringe at some parts, the romance was more intense, and a lot of interesting revelations were exhibited.

I found myself completely submerged in this book. It was so impossible to stop. When you are reading such an unpredictable book that makes you feel anxious, you definitely can't sit still. You have to know what happens next. That's how this book made me feel the entire way through.

Beck and Sela's romantic development was the first thing that I felt here. It was so sweet and real and perfect. Despite all the worst things that they went through, their love for each other remained strong. Sure their journey to happiness was such a total mess but I'm glad to see how tough they were together and how determined they were (especially Beck) in finding solutions to their problems.

I most especially loved Beck's character development. For me he is one of the perfect heroes in a romantic-suspense book. He is cunning and he didn't entirely depend on his money and connections. Now I admit I had a little problem with Sela's character. You guys, she f*cked up here big time (and in the previous books. What's new??). But it's so ironic how I always forgive this woman for her stubbornness and stupid decisions. Maybe it has something to do with her will-power to end the shitstorm that's happening in her life and Beck's.

As a whole, Sugar Free delivered such a terrific finale. It's a series-ender that gives an adrenaline rush from start to finish. When you read this book, buckle up and expect yourself to be stunned by a lot of surprises and dramatic scenes that will manage to pull your heartstrings. What a well-done series!

(I buddyread this book together with the awesome Trish. Click her name to read her wonderful review!)

P.S. I rated all three books of this series 5 Stars. :))

4.5 No Substitute, Pure Pleasure Stars
* * * * 1/ SpoilersFree
Every once in a while, we all indulge in a guilty pleasure...something we know we should wait for... or if we partake in this yummy experience... we don't do it with patience or finesse. We dive in... not caring about how the time we are taking from other more structured activities... like working/families/sleeping ... thus the term, Guilty Pleasures, Duh! Sawyer Bennett and her delicious series gave me all the pleasure I wanted and I refuse to feel guilty one little bit.

The Sugar Bowl Series was an experience in pleasure, revenge, discovery, betrayal, and love.
All the normal elements we find in our Genre of Romance... What elevated this reading was the incredible crafting, insight into the characters, and the immense attention to detail brought to each installment. There was pacing, flair, doubts leading us one way only to turn us another 180 degrees with the next flick of the wrist or page. This is standard in any Bennett project... however, this one had a specific delight, I think, due to the end game she had planned all along.

If you have been like me, foaming at the mouth and waiting impatiently for every new book after finishing the last one you just consumed of this saga.... then this last installment will ease you for a second...and then set you on a roller-coaster ride destined to mess up whatever you had "scheduled, calendared, planned or set in stone".

"Fuhgeddaboudit"...Ain't Gonna Happen....Best figure on how many sick days you have to use...

To let you understand how strong this is without giving anything away...In this last installment, Sela and Beck are tested to the point of where the universal question of...
What would you do, how far would you go for the one you love is answered.

The journey is not always the best...yet with the history they have together, with their families and friends...we do understand. We deal with adrenaline fused thinking and then watch how every action has an equally intense reaction.

All of this story is in keeping with the people we have grown to understand and care for... and the chemistry and love for each other is front and center through it all.

As I mentioned earlier, I think Ms. Bennett had additional fun in this last part... using past career talents to ensure we felt everything was on the up and up and as real as she could make it.

The other insight to this installment is the epilogue.
It. Was. Perfect.

For those who have been having Sugar Bowl withdrawals while waiting for this 3rd and last installment...it will be coming very soon and worth all the wait...And for those who had more Willpower than me or the other legions of Bennett fans... you will be able to Binge read the entire series... just know you will have to change your plans and have laundry done.

And since I am me... I cannot resist letting you know I have a very sneaky suspicion, Ms. Bennett has more in store for those who fell hard for an important secondary character in this series. He is the type of Man who carries his secrets and pain close to his heart, yet is someone all of us would think worth the fight to have in our lives... I can't wait.

***4,5 "That old, yellowing linoleum floor!!!" stars***

After two huge cliffies and lots of stress and agony about our heroes's end, we finally took our ending!!! And what an ending!!!
I loved how the things turned out after all, even though that in the 2/3 of this book, i wasn't so sure that the things will end up that good!!!

This three-part novel was a wonderful reading full of suspense, agony, romance and constant overturns...
The interest was all the time in high levels and the only thing that i can say is that this certain book was one hell of a ride!!!

"This has gotten so goddamned complicated, I'm terrified that there's no way out for either of us."

As we already know from the previous books, Sela was seeking revenge for her violated past after she recognised by chance one of her attackers...

But her plans turned upside down when Beck North stepped into her life and made her see things from a different point of view!!!
Love became more important than the vengeance, but the problems never stopped following them... and all the lies and secrets around them were suffocating them and they needed to take drastic meters to find the salvation that they were longing for...

"What you and I have, Sela...no one will ever comprehend it. No one will ever come in between it. But it's real and it's ours and I'm never letting it go."

At the end of the second book, things turned upside down for once again and this time, our heroes got in serious problems...

Sela in a way took her revenge3 but she never got the satisfaction that she was hoping for...
She and Beck got in serious troubles and it's very difficult to get themselves out of this mess...
The only thing that is keeping them strong is their love...

“He looks at me briefly, mouths the words I love you.
I mouth the same words back to him, and hope to God I get to tell him that in person again sometime soon.”

Will they manage to get free of all this mess???
And what about all this deceit that is syrrounding them???

Will their love stay untouched from this ultimate test???

For once again, i will repeat that i love Beck so much!!!
He is such a nice guy and he can dive in serious shit to protect the ones he loves... and i respect him very much for that reason.

As for Sela??? I liked the person that she had become... Because Sela of the first book has nothing to do with Sela of the third book... even though sometimes she is acting without thinking!!!
Beck and Sela as a couple was amazing... The chemistry between them was huge and the way they were connecting was amazing!!!

"I've done bad things and screwed up a few times over the past few months...
Because I did it all in the name of love doesn't make me a good man.
It merely makes me clichéd."

But except from Beck and Sela, i have to reffer some people that I've loved very much in this series...
First of all Caroline... She had live a hell and the things kept going ugly!!! I loved the connection between her and Beck and i adored her little Ally...

Another one person that i liked very much was Dennis and i wish i could learn more about this guy...
Sela's father was a wonderful person as well!!!

Somewhere here, i have to finish my review... Sorry, but i already said too much!!!
This was the final chapter of a great series and i have to say that i was having a wonderful time full of emotional changes while i was reading those books!!!

God, I love Sawyer Bennett's writing so much!!!

5 'Linoleum' Stars!

 photo Sugar Free - Sawyer Bennett_zpsdwwem74q.png

WARNING: THIS REVIEW MIGHT CONTAIN SOME SPOILERS FROM SUGAR DADDY AND SUGAR RUSH.

Finally, we are getting the much-deserved ending of this extraordinary series that Sawyer Bennett gave us this year. After feeling all the emotions possible and suffering two extremely surprising cliffhangers while reading, I can assure that the Sugar Bowl books are definitely on my 2016 favorites list.

Sugar Free is the third and final installment in this series which if you don’t know anything about I strongly recommend you stop reading this review right now, just in case. The story continues right after the mother of cliffhangers that we got in Sugar Rush: Sela and Beck are forced to suffer very difficult situations that surround around Sela’s past and JT (the bad guy and Beck’s business partner).

Only with the physicality of his touch and the fire I just saw in his eyes can I truly be assured that things might be okay between us.

“What you and I have, Sela… no one will ever comprehend it. No one will ever come in between it. But it’s real and it’s ours, and I’m never letting it go.”

I certainly guarantee Sugar Free has the darkest moments of the series, especially after what happened at the end of Sugar Rush. Now Sela and Beck have to take so pretty big decisions that will affect their lives in ways they never thought possible. You know if you read the other novels, Sela was decided to take revenge against JT but she stopped because of what she feels for Beck. Well, everything changes when THAT happens.

We try to hold this puzzle of lies together because we’re fueled by this love we have for each other.

Bending over, I put my mouth between her legs and I eat my fucking pussy like a man on a mission. Sela’s hands fly to my head, grip it tight, and she pushes my face against her harder. She knows it’s my pussy, but she’s also reminding me that my lips and tongue are hers.

I really enjoyed all the dark parts of this book but see these last quotes? That has been my favorite aspect of the Sugar Bowl series: the development of Sela and Beck’s relationship. They have such intense feelings for each other that becomes their salvation at the end. And, as you can see, they continue being as explosive as ever! I felt the sex scenes on Sugar Free are the best (angry sex included!), these two have off-the-charts chemistry! And finally, FINALLY they get their happy ending. I LOVED IT!

“You give me everything. You are my everything. And today… our life starts brand new.”

Therefore, my rating for Sugar Free is 5 STARS because it was an excellent way to finish the Sugar Bowl series, the books that have made me fall in love with Sawyer Bennett’s writing. This woman is so freaking talented: I loved this story, the revenge plot, the chemistry and the deepness of her main characters. So if you love Sawyer’s writing and you want a darkish version of it, you definitely have to check out this series: I highly recommend it!

My, my! This book is so good and a worthy conclusion of this series! I enjoyed every chapter and the plot twists, perfectly done! I dare to say that in this book the drama and angst are more present than in the previous two books but that's exactly what makes this story so great. I simply loved it! The fact that I've read the whole series in just two days is proof of that! And don't even get me started on the characters! Now we truly get to see their real personalities, especially Beck's parents, if they can even be called that! Beck sister and her daughter are such a blessing to both Beck and Sela and I'm so happy for both of them to have such fantastic people in their lives because they really deserve to have them. And of course, Beck and Sela, wow where to even start. In this story everything that can go wrong...goes wrong, yes! Every choice has it's consequences! The ones of you who've read the previous book know that the cliffy is a mayor one and it's also a nasty one, since we all know what that means for Beck and Sela's plans. They crumble into ashes and the whole world is there to watch it happen. Those two have to go through so much and my heart just broke for them. Their journey to get their HEA is a long one and there were times when I thought they weren't going to make BUT I should have known better. Their bond is so strong that nothing and no one can break it and they also prove that throughout the whole story. Least but not last, there were some characters that I though were just horrible people, if you've read the book you'll know exactly who I mean by that. I felt like they weren't even doing their jobs right and only looked after themselves. In the end I'm happy how the whole story turned out and my gosh, the epilogue just stole the freaking show for me. It's done so well and we not only get to see the characters a few months into their future lives, no, we get to see them in various time lapses and that really gave the book the satisfying ending that it needed, at least in my opinion.
All in all, this whole series is amazing and I definitely recommend it to everyone!

4.5 Sugar Free Stars

Prettier Review @ Vanilla & Spice Books

Argh, it's so hard to write spoiler-free reviews! If you haven't read the first two in this series I urge you to do so. It cannot be read out of order.

Shutting this book is bittersweet. Saying goodbye to Beck and Sela after their journey was sad but knowing that we left them in a good place was exhilerating. The last installment of the Sugar Bowl series will challenge your moral compass in ways you haven't considered before. At least I haven't. It makes you ask yourself "what would you do?", "what is your hard limit, how far would you go to protect the one you love?"

Don't ever doubt that you are mine and this pussy is mine and that I'm never giving it up. I'm going to do whatever it takes to protect what's mine

We are back where we left off at the cliffhanger from book 2. The lies and deception that follow the aftermath of JT's fate are spinning a web Sela and Beck have a hard time breaking free of. Beck goes to great lengths to make sure the woman he loves is safe, resorting to whatever it takes even if he tarnishes his own soul. The end justifies the means after all, right? There is a shift in morals on both accounts of our main characters but there is never a question of doing what it takes to ensure their future versus doing what's right

I've done bad things and screwed up a few times over the past few months. I've contemplated killing someone, bribed another and eventually covered up a murder.

Beck is again to-die-for gorgeous. He is fierce and holding on tight to Sela. The love and care he feels for his woman is tangible at all times.

What you and I have, Sela...no one will ever comprehend it. No one will ever come in between it. But it's real and it's ours and I'm never letting it go.

Yes, Sela tries to protect the love of her life as well but she fell a tiny bit short for me in this installment. I was missing the strong yet vulnerable woman in parts of this book. There is no question that the things she went through are nothing short of traumatizing yet she was a little bit too whiny in the last of this series. She also makes a singular stupid decision I didn't expect from this generally intelligent woman.

I was actually already eyeing a four star rating, then the last 20% happened and the wonderful epilogue that brought the rating up another half star. There are sweet moments throughout the book but that epilogue...LOVED it.

With this series Sawyer Bennett went out of her comfort zone and took a risk. I think it really paid off and she delivered a tightly knit, thrilling and exhilerating ride. I really, really hope that we will get Dennis' story. I think there is enough demand for it. He is intriguing to say the least and I'll be definitely reading his journey if Sawyer Bennett decides to write it.

After putting my self through not one, but two cliffhangers from this couple, I definitely deserved the best ending this author could give us. And that is exactly what she delivered. I had my theories on how the story of Sela and Beck would end, but Sawyer Bennett shocked me with what actually happened. Sugar Free went in a completely different direction than I thought it would, and I love that this author could astonish me so much with this one.

The Sugar Bowl series has put me through some intense reading with the angst, suspense, and mystery that jumps off of every page. Through three books we're taken on this crazy journey of a girl hell bent on getting her revenge, and somehow finding love in the middle of her mission. And not just the simple kind of love, but the crazy passionate kind of love that makes your heart skip more than one beat.
"What you and I have, Sela...no one will ever comprehend it. No one will ever come in between it. But it's read and it's ours, and I'm never letting it go."

Most times the end to a serial will slow down, give you the big conclusion you wanted early on and then show you all the happiness that comes after. Well not this book. No, with this one the author decided to make all of her readers go insane and gave us the craziest part of Sela and Beck's story as the ending.

I was on edge while reading this from the beginning to the very end. There was no part of this reading that I could settle down and and just be happy with the story. Instead I became crazier than normal and was threatening to murder anyone that interrupted my reading. I was just captivated and had the most intense urge to know how she would finish this couples journey. I had to stop myself on multiple occasions from skipping to the back because I was going bonkers from not knowing.

My one piece of advice for anyone going into this book, is to prepare yourselves. Make sure you start this when you have absolutely nothing else to do and no one around you that you could potentially harm for interrupting you. And whatever you think is going to happen, let me just say, you're wrong. I promise you that this author will surprise the hell out of you, so again, just be prepared.

“Sugar Free” is the third and final book in the “Sugar Bowl” series by Sawyer Bennett. This was a highly anticipated read for me because I could not wait to read this stunning conclusion to a series that I was so invested in. None of the books in the “Sugar Bowl” series are a standalone. You need to read them in order: “Sugar Daddy” followed by “Sugar Rush” and then finally “Sugar Free.” All three books directly follow on from each other.

This is an extremely hard review for me to write. I still have no idea how to right this review spoiler free, so therefore it will be short, sharp and sweet as I believe this series is one you need to experience for yourself due to all the twists and turns and suspense.

I know there are some who have not read any of the books as yet, as they are waiting until “Sugar Free” is released on October 11th so they can binge read them in one sitting. I believe this to be a very smart move due to the massive cliff hangers in the first two books.

I would definitely recommend this story to anyone who loves a great revenge story, especially where the revenge is warranted as it is in this story. "Sugar Free" was quite dark and emotional in some parts, but it was also a joy to read about the beautiful relationship between Sela and Beck. This series was a must read for me and I was able to consume all three books in one sitting. I absolutely loved the fast paced nature and the suspense that accompanied this story and I was not disappointed. Sawyer Bennett wrote the perfect conclusion to a perfect series.

25/09/16 - I am struggling to get into Sugar Free because of Sela and her STUPID decision at the end of Sugar Rush. She should have know better than anyone and now everything poor Beck is going through is HER fault.

I want to slap her silly

Scream Sydney slaps gail photo: Glee Glee_zps07c9fbb3.gif

I will continue hoping my anger towards this stupid woman will calm down and somehow she will redeem herself to me.

28/09/16 - Sugar Free was my 39th Sawyer Bennett book and the anticipation of reading this series back to back had me super excited but for some reason I did not enjoy this conclusion as much as I thought I would maybe I should of spread them out over time.

It felt like it took me forever to read this and it was a struggle to finish it sort of as I did not read the epilogue as I don't care what happened to them, it did take me 6 days and I usually devour a SB book.

I felt no sympathy for Sela as she pissed me off for what she did and I did not like her that much to begin with I just did not connect with her at all. I felt more for Beck and Caroline and everything JT and their so called parents put them through.

I even got bored of all the sex and started to skim those scenes the only thing I enjoyed was the suspense near the end of what the outcome would be for them.

Maybe I need a break from SB and try some new authors.

What a great conclusion! This serial has brought us on quite the ride. Sela and Beck get the opportunity to prove how far they are willing to go for their love and let me tell you, when the love is that strong... the possibilities are endless. In the last installment, Sela went to go see someone who hurt her in the past. This book the resolution to that encounter and the associated events. While the story definitely had the presence of a criminal element in the previous installments, the plot seemed to hit overdrive in this part. It brought about a good range of emotion, always keeping me on my toes and looking forward to what would happen next. I admired the steady chemistry between Sela and Beck and the growth they experienced as a couple and individually. The glimpses into our MCs at different intervals of the future were a great way to keep us connected but not drag out the story with fluff. All in all one of the best serials I've read. The parts weren't too short and we got a complete story with the breaks at very opportune times. Safety: No OW/OM/Sharing. Yes to rape and abuse.

Hours after finishing Sugar Free, the last installment of the Sugar Bowl series, I’m still a little speechless. From the moment I started reading, I was captivated and could not put it down. How was Sawyer Bennett going to pull it off? Would all my questions finally be answered?

“Don’t ever doubt that you are mine and this pussy is mine and that I’m never giving it up. I’m going to do whatever it takes to protect what’s mine.”

It’s rare that a series can hold my attention through its entirety and maintain a fast paced and believable story. The Sugar Bowl series managed to do just that. For me, the success of the series as a whole, but this third installment particularly, comes from the expert blend of deceit, suspense and heartfelt emotion.

Throughout most of Sugar Free, there’s a whole lot left to figure out and some tough choices to be made. Through all of that, the glue that holds the story together are the feelings Beck and Sela have for one another. The beauty of the series stems from the fact the romance element never got lost and that the drama ended up strengthening it instead.

I loved every minute I spent with Beck and Sela but beyond that, I’m thrilled the story as a whole lived up to my expectations.

All good things must come to an end

This review is going to be short and sweet because I need to recover from my sugar addiction…and I don’t want to give anything away.

I was tempted from almost the beginning to do status updates for this book but I was worried about giving away key plot points. As I went further along in Sugar Free, I’ll be honest and admit that I started to lose faith. I though Beck and Sela had lost their minds. I was so peeved at them for the decisions they made. Sela’s immaturity and Beck’s stubbornness was getting them into a whole bunch of strife.

How will this end?

Will their love survive?

Who will suffer the most?

Is there a chance that it will all work out?

Can they be free?

The journey was bumpy and at times hard to take. I was scared to keep going but also desperate to know how it will all play out. I’m sorry to say but I doubted Sawyer Bennett would leave me happy in the end but of course the proof is in the rating.

For the angst lovers, you will be in heaven.

For the angst haters, all I can say is persevere because the epilogue will be worth the heart stutters.

The Sugar Bowl series was addictive. The characters were interesting, the storyline compelling and the smexy times left me squirming. I’ll be sad to say goodbye to Sela and Beck, but I have a feeling we might get a glimpse of them in the future.

This was a good series with this final book ending on a high. Sawyer does a great job of weaving a twisted tale with angst, suspense, secrets and lies.

I also really enjoy Sawyer's stories with legal proceedings. I think that's partly why I really enjoyed this final book. The story went by fast and kept me invested from page one.

Beck and Sela are engaging characters and HOT together. Both were easy to connect with, root for and understand. This story is unlike any Sawyer has done before and I think she does a great job. She does suspense well, creating a deep and engaging story with some really nasty characters to hate and wish for their downfall.

I know I'm not the first to say this but my only comment is I think this could have been done in two books. Overall, I'd recommend this series. You'll be in for an emotional and suspenseful story!

Happy Book Birthday

Murder. What lengths would you go to, how much would you be willing to give up for the person you love? Read the exciting conclusion of the Sugar Bowl trilogy by Sawyer Bennett.

Sela Halstead had fantasized about vengeance and murder since the day she identified one of the men who robbed her of innocence. After meeting Beckett North though, her life changed course once again. She had been ready to let go of the past in order to focus on a future with this incredibly smart and caring man, but life has led her into the hands of her attacker Jonathon Townsend. Narrowly escaping she turns to Beck for support, comfort and help but can he deal with the vicious revelations Sela brings? And can she actually get away with murder?

Beckett North will do anything to protect his loved ones which undeniably includes Sela even when the world around them starts to fall apart. He’ll loose everything he once held dear, his sister, his company and wealth, and Sela. It’ll be worth it if it means Sela can live free. Still holding on to hope, can he find a way out of the predicament they’re in?

I just loved the cliffhanger Sawyer Bennett left us with in Sugar Rush (book #2 in the Sugar Bowl series). I honestly didn’t know which direction she would take us in but was certain whichever it was I’d love it and oh wow what a ride! I thought Beck and Sela were toast, no wonder Sawyer Bennett has become a staple in my reading list.

I don’t think I can say much about the book without spoiling you so I’ll keep it brief. There were no more shocking secrets besides actually knowing what happened between JT and Sela which Bennett reveals fairly quickly. But Sela and Beck’s future looked very bleak for a while and I honestly couldn’t figure out how they’d be able to get out of it.

More than once I wanted to murder Sela myself for her decision making and lack of forethought. But the fact remained that I just couldn’t put the book down because everything was on the line for both of them and lack of planning and bad decision making aside, I truly wanted Beck and Sela to find their happiness together because they loved each other warts and all.

I enjoyed every single tense and anxious moment this couple went through as well as every delectably sweet, sexy and hot one they found themselves in be it because they wanted to express their love or needed an outlet for the fear and strain they were in. Rest assured though, all loose ends are neatly tied up, and Sawyer Bennett treats us to a very sweet, rare and extended epilogue.

Sugar Free is book #3 and the finale in the Sugar Bowl series by Sawyer Bennett. It is a thrilling conclusion to this hot contemporary romance with twists and turns you won’t expect. This is not a standalone book, its predecessors should be read first. Told from both point of view.

I thought I could patiently wait after the major cliffy in Sugar Rush but I just couldn't wait.......I had to know how Sela and Beck ended.

Sugar Free begins exactly where Sugar Rush left off. Answering the major question......"Sela what did you do???"

This last book was a crazy roller coaster ride. It kept me engaged and on the edge of my seat. Sela and Beck have major obstacles in this book. But their commitment and love for one another keeps them on track. But what is overwhelming in this book is the love that Beck has for those he keeps close in his heart. He will do whatever to keeps those he loves safe.

I must also say that the author's background in the criminal justice world shines through. She keeps the story moving at a fast pace and makes you turn the page wanting to know how it will all end.

Lastly........I LOVED THE EPILOGUE!!!! It was an epilogue that gave me everything I wanted- IT WAS PERFECT!!! I will say that I do hope that there will be a spin off........Dennis and Caroline.......you guys need each other!!!!

Look at me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And while I didn’t hate it, Sugar Free did prove the point I beat like a dead horse that a book series always disappoints. This could have easily been wrapped up in one long-ish book (maybe two max), but after the cliffhanger on Sugar Rush there was no way I could skip this final installment . . . .

Well, I could have if it would have cost me any dollars, but luckily the Porny Librarian came through once again to save the day. Porny Librarian you are my favorite superhero! Okay, second favorite. Jean Grey is pretty kick ass . . . .

Aside from lack of content needed to fill the pages, this one really disappointed when it came to the stabby too. When the entire premise of the plot is a woman who was brutally victimized promising to “infiltrate, murder, repeat” until all three of her attackers are gone that’s what I expect to read about. Instead we had the two main characters left with a lot to figure out, but every time they were supposed to sit down and talk about things it ended up with . . . .

Good lord. Seriously? If I wanted this little story I’d watch a video and not even bother sifting through the words.

Things went from bad to worse in the epilogue . . . . .

All that was missing was the farting unicorn. Again, happily-ever-afters have their place in the world, but not necessarily in a book like this. And really let’s be honest. There’s only one perfect relationship I know of so everything else pales in comparison . . . .

ORIGINAL "REVIEW":

The library got this - FINALLY. Hope no one expects much out of me today . . . .

"Oh Sela. What have you done?"

The third book focuses mainly to the aftershocks following Sela’s actions in book 2 “Sugar Rush”.

Consequently the revenge drama that has been slowly unveiled in the first two books is transformed into a full action court room drama. Defense attorneys have to be hired, evidences have to be hidden and Beck will never allow the love of his life to be destroyed.

Moreover more secrets about Beck’s family are exposed. Beck sees the light of his father’s actions a bit too late. A late enough knowledge to make him the prime suspect.

Well, I have grown up in a family full of unconditional love and support and I really do not understand this kind of families. How can you neglect your children? Treat them like strangers and enemies?

It is about time for Beck to cut all ties.

On the other hand, Sela does not have a moment to relax and to feel relieved that she has succeeded with the ultimate destruction of her number one enemy. She feels guilty, confused, scared, and uncertain.

Soon enough all the secrets will find their way in the court room. A ruthless and media-whore district attorney will make everything known to the public eye.

I really wanted Sela and Beck to be happy and to be together. In this book I truly felt that their love can overcome anything – even their worst selves. They will trust and support each other.
Especially Beck will never let any doubt tear them apart. There isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for her. He will be a rock and problem solver.
Sela will not help much. She will keep making the situation more complicated.

I think the end of the story is very sudden. A “deus ex machine” will provide the ultimate solution.

I loved the series but Sugar Free was definitely my least favorite of the three by far. I didn't mind the ending, it made sense. I had high expectations after the first two books, but half way through Sugar Free I was bored. This whole book seemed to drag out only to have the end very rushed. Not my favorite book, I really had a hard time finishing it.

4 - "I'm going to do whatever it takes to protect whats mine..." Stars!

The final book in Sawyer Bennett’s Sugar Bowl series, picks up, right where Sugar Rush left off. If you have not read the previous two installments, be warned the review below does contain spoilers in relation to the story so far.

I think it’s safe to say that Sela’s actions towards the end of Sugar Rush were the height of stupidity, bearing in mind everything that had played out with JT previously and her initial reasons that started the story originally, especially if you take into account how her relationship with Beck has developed since, and the plans he was in the process of putting into place, in relation to their future.

"You came along and the pieces started falling into place… You gave me all the pieces that were missing."

And I have to admit that as a reader on a practical and unemotional level I could see the authors reasons for going in that direction. On an emotional level, and as a reader that was totally invested in the story it without doubt totally pissed me off. But then you have to look at the fact that if she hadn’t gone to see him on her own, where would the author have taken the final part of the book…

So although annoyed I got over it and read on.

As you would expect the plot for the final installment in the trilogy is all about Beck and Sela overcoming all the obstacles that have plagued their relationship since the beginning, as well as dealing with the aftermath of the whole JT situation… I am not honestly sure what I was really expecting from the author in relation to tying up their story, I can’t say I was wowed, but I didn’t dislike it, the book was again a really quick and easy read, the sex seemed to outweigh the story a bit in this one for me, but overall it was still for the most part pretty enjoyable.

One thing that did pique my interest was the hints of a relationship that developed between Beck’s sister; Caroline and his PI; Dennis in the latter stages of the book. I hope that at some point there is a story coming from that direction as they were both characters that deserve their own happily ever afters. Loved the epilogues in this one as well.

Overall Trilogy Rating: Average of 3 stars

Overall Opinion: This was better than the second book, Sugar Rush, but not as good as the first, Sugar Daddy. Bummer. I don’t like trilogies for this exact reason! I was weirdly in the mood to try this one out though in hopes that it’s change my mind. Sadly, not so much. I felt like it was stretched out too thin in a trilogy that really could’ve been a standalone or a duet even with much better quality content and flow. I still skimmed with this one, but again, not as much as the second book. I’m going with middle of the road 3 star rating here just because it was a pretty darn good epilogue. Making the overall trilogy rating an average 3 star rating as well.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is the conclusion of Sela and Beck’s story. It starts off where the last book ended in a cliffy. It finds the mcs in a tough position that tests their love. There’s a good bit of suspenseful scenes, some sexy times... and they get a HEA

Point Of View (POV): This alternated between Sela and Beck’s POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Alright. I did still skim some because I felt like there was a lot of filler to get a final book out.

Instalove: No, but feelings were already developed when this book begins

H (Hero) rating: 3.5 stars. Beck. I liked him more than Sela in this one too.

h (heroine) rating: 3 stars. Sela. She still acted stupid but I did like her at times too.

Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: No

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Separation: No

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This ends with a good epilogue and a HEA ending

Safety: This one should be Safe for most safety gang readers

4 Sugar Sugar Sugar Honey Stars

Sugar Free is the concluding book to the Sugar Bowl series. I know a lot of people don’t like serials because they have issues with a cliffy, but in my opinion I LOVE cliff hangers. I love it because it always leaves me wanting more and as a reading addict, I never want that feeling to end.

I really enjoy Sawyer Bennett’s writing and I really liked this series. The ending didn’t disappoint and I was happy it had a different tone and theme to it. I would say Sugar Free was more suspenseful.

As Beck and Sela continue to work through JT’s death you can only imagine what kind of drama there will be. Let me just say this, I love Beck! I love Beck because he’s nerdy, loyal and completely romantic. Any man that is willing to cover-up a murder for the one he loves holds a special place in my heart. I know it sounds twisted but it’s 100% romantic.

Sela is feeling a lot of guilt and even though she knows JT was a horrible person it was never her intention to hurt him. She is pretty emotional in the read but I kind of like it. She’s always been the tough chick but now she can lean on Beck. They complement each other nicely.

Throughout the book you will be on pins and needles wondering what will happen next. Will Sela get caught? Will anyone get arrested? What happens to JT’s body? Everything will be answered and then some. There are a lot of twist and turns throughout the book to keep you interested.

Overall, Loved the series, loved this book. Great great great.

This is a damn good series. As much as i was sad to see this end, this third and final book had me holding my breath till about the 90% mark. After that cliffy, I just did not know what to expect and i tried to ignore the dire consequences they faced because of Sela's actions. I have to say this though- Sela would have been royally screwed if not for Beck's love and sense of protectiveness. Beck remains my hero in this series. His sacrifices and loyalty was so admirable, it sometimes defied any logic. But i suppose that's what love does for someone. They remain devoted and so much in love although put through the wringer. A damn good ending with a fantastic look at the future.

Yes, i used the word damn twice. Because this is a DAMN good series! Looking forward to more books from this author. *round of applause*

I was so glad when I finally got to reading the last book in this series. This book was a little bit different from the previous 2 books... More suspense and I just loved how well written it was!

Two people loving each other so much they are willing to give everything up for the other. Such strong love!!

Often when there are 3 books in the series the third one can’t really keep me captivated but wow this one could! So far I loved all of SB’s books and it’s the same with this one.. I am so grateful for the large epilogue because I wasn’t ready to finish this series haha

I really do hope that Dennis will get a book too. Preferably with Caroline ;-)

Sawyer Bennett’s Sugar Bowl series is a must read for 2016!

I’m totally and unequivocally in love with Beck and Sela. I’m not sure that I’ll be able to do justice to their story so I’m probably just going to ramble.

Sexy—this book is full of hot and sexy love. It’s the quintessential Beck and Sela connection!
Love—the love pours from the pages of this book. If I had a paperback copy I’m sure the words would actually be floating off the pages.
Mystery—the pieces of the mystery are all put together in Sugar Free. There were elements of surprise, wonder and even a bit of suspense.
Feelings—oh, the feels. I can’t include all the feelings I felt while reading this book but I can tell you they include highs and lows and everything in between.

I think the reason I wanted to keep it was because I liken this old linoleum to my soul…
It’s held up.
It’s persevered.
It’s faced what like had to throw it and it held steady.
Just. Like. Me.

—This hit me hard. My soul feels battered and bruised after the last couple years. The words on the pages are lifelines to readers, and authors don’t even realize it. So, thank you. Thank you for sharing a piece of you with us! With me. You make a difference.

And when you see the Sugar Bowl covers, remember don’t judge a book by its cover. The cover is phenomenal and fun. But this book is so much more than just fun! It took me down a rabbit hole of extremes. Fun. Mystery. Suspense. Even thrills and chills. It’s sheer perfection! ~ Heather, 5 Free stars

~~~
I have been anxiously awaiting the conclusion to this series and Ms. Bennett did not disappoint!
We pick up right where we left off in the second book, Sugar Rush, and there is just so much drama that I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.
"It's the worst feeling to cause pain to someone you care about, but there's nothing I can do to take it back."
We got all of the answers and truths, but not before there were a few more secrets and lies and twists and turns thrown in.
I absolutely adore Beck! What a strong, swoon-worthy man! And Sela went through so much. You have to read this amazing series that was so different from what Ms. Bennett normally writes. It was a page turning, unputdownable book - and series - that kept me guessing the entire time. And don't forget it was hot, hot, hot too! ~ Tiffany, 4.5 stars
GREAT ENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everything taken care of. No loose ends. No holes. Lots of suspense and drama and bad decisions. Plenty of love, romance, sex. Great friends and family (well most of them).
Beautiful epilogue...now I want a story with the romance hinted at during it, but not in three parts with horrible cliffhangers.
