Wow... this was so exciting! I just read it all at once because I couldn't stop without knowing what would happen and how they kept finding them!
This detail was driving me crazy, I had so many theories throughout the book that it was one more insane than the other.
But I loved the story. I love a good dangerous romance, filled with dangerous situations, escapes, fights, fires, and guns. It's just so thrilling!
I enjoyed every part of this book, it had all the things that I enjoy in a story. I found it free on Amazon and I loved every second of it. Also, I'm a big fan of B.B. Hamel's books. She's incredible!

Wow I don't usually like second chance books but this one was different.
Piper is on her way to her friends wedding in Hawaii she is sitting on her seat when she sees Gates a gorgeous man to bad a tiny moment they had is ruined when he flirts with the flight attendant. When they find out they are both best man and maid of honor for their friends wedding they try to place nice but Gates just want to get in her pants and she won't let him..... But she eventually does. They weren't expecting to share a great moment so when he tells her he is being shipped of to war they knew it wasn't a good idea. 2 years later they finally see each other but when she is on the run from her boyfriend she needs Gates to protect her. Then they play a game of cat and mouse with the boyfriend when they think they are far enough he has a way of showing up. Intense moment when friend dies but sooner they are able to go back to their lives and live happily.

I absolutely love this authors books and of course, that was another I devoured. Our H is Gates (I likey this name) and our h is Piper.
Piper boards a plane for her best friend's destination wedding. A man boards that instantly catches her attention and the flight attendants. She brushes him off since he is behind her somewhere getting the flight attendant's number. Gates is a Navy SEAL that is soon deploying for Syria. He boards a plane to go to a friend's wedding. He sees a beautiful girl on the plane but figures the flight attendant will be easier. When they land his friend picks him up and says that they are picking up his future wife's best friend too. Piper ends up being that friend.
Gates and Piper dance around each other at the wedding but when Gates runs another man off from Piper, he makes his move. They have a wild night together and the next morning Gates leaves instead of going down to breakfast with Piper. The Military owns Gates and he is not supposed to get attached to anyone. Piper writes him a few letters while he is deployed. When he doesn't write back, Piper stops sending them. To Gates, those letters meant so much.
2 years later, is home from deployment attending housewarming party for his friend that got married when he met Piper. Piper has a boyfriend now and while the attraction is still there when they come face to face, neither will cross that line. When Piper's boyfriend has to leave for business, Gates gives Piper a ride home. Once there she decides to take her boyfriend some dinner. What she sees that night changes everything. Now Piper needs Gates help just to stay alive.
I love love love this author's books. Gates was simply marvelous. He was exactly what I have come to expect from this author when it comes to Alpha men. Piper was great too. She seems naive to me but had a will of steel. Perfect for dealing with a man like Gates. This was another great read.

The marriage of their friends brought Gates and Piper together and had a very steamy night together but he had to be deployed for Syria so he let Piper go.
Now two years later Piper and Gates meet back up at their friends housewarming party and sparks that was buried came out a sparking. Then her current sleezeball of a boyfriend has a full time job besides the night club. Now Piper will have a very scary meeting with what her boyfriend is and can do. Now Piper is on the run from her ex boyfriend and the only one that has the training to protect her is Gates.
If you read the Barons Mafia books them you have came across Matteo from there, he will make an appearance toward the end in this story, that is was Piper's ex Tony was involved in.
This has it all, alpha SEaL, mafia, dirty talking sex, second chance to love another that spawned from a one night stand that never let their hearts or minds. It started out a bit slow but caught up fast and never got bored. Can't wait for more.

Ok so in the beginning this was a little far fetched concept even for me but I stuck to it. But now No, just No.!! I am not one who likes to read or hear oneself called a slut or dirty whore during sex. It does the opposite for me it actually pisses me off.. but I wanted to know more about the story and characters, so I kept reading. 21% in, the shower scene did me in. If I had to read how he grabbed her hair, called her a dirty slut,whore and how she would take his big cock one more time I was going to throw my kindle. Add in all the grammar errors, I usually overlook, but in this book it added to my frustration. Big DNF!!! Not sexy not romantic just a big WEIRD, fucked up book!! - stars if able!!!

Well whomever guessed how complicated life could become from a one-night stand.
This story has action, violence and fear. it definitely has hot sex. Hunted and in fear for her life, unsure where to turn for help.
Gates is hot sexy and a bit of an "asshole", but underneath he has a vulnerable side. He loves the military life and serving his country and on one level is determined to carry on doing that, on another he has had a hint of something more, a haunting of a different kind.
Piper is a fairly strong minded woman, hard working even if not completely loving the side her career has taken. She is loyal, loving and not over her one-night stand. Like Gates she is haunted by the memory of what could have been.
From something unexpected life takes them on a different course full of violence and flight.
This story is filled with a roller coaster of action and emotions, it sucks you in deep from beginning to end. It is one well worth reading and possibly regret if you don't. This is BB Hamel at her best.

Gates is a filthy-mouthed lady killer but he'll keep Piper alive
I LOVE the dirty, witty banter between Piper and Gates. She’s funny without being hard edged, and he throws in some smut with his jibes. They’re both smart and sharp tongued, and their conversations make the book—along with the hot, hot sex and Gates’ lewd suggestions. The book is just fun to read with lots of sexy stuff and action.
Some of the claims and details about the military aren’t realistic or accurate. There are mix ups between Army and Navy/Marine terminology. Some are basic—like saying “soldier” when it should be “sailor,” and some are cultural and play a bigger role in the book, such as how SEALs deploy for years at a time without contact or that they don’t have any skills to offer the civilian world. Also, not every soldier or vet is damaged and traumatized.
I also had some quibbles with the parts of the movie dealing with portions of the ending and evidence and parts of the end—but much of that can be hand waved away. Most of my issues with book are easily fixable.

It's been a while I've since I read one of BB's bad boys books and I have to say I still love them!
She always gives us super sexy men who are not afraid of fighting for their woman. They might be a little cocky at first but they always turn themselves around and come back wearing their shinning armours and save the girl.
This story was no exception, Gates is wrong for Piper in every way the first time they meet, but that is not stopping them from changing their lives for ever.
But life goes on and they are different people now, their paths shouldn't be crossing again, but life has other plans and she needs him, Gates is the only person who can help Piper survive the mess she is into.
Amazing sex scenes, strong and hilarious characters and some scary and exciting action scenes make this book a thrilling read!

This book came with Possessive Daddy, so I read it and loved it.
This is about a man who thinks he is God's gift to women and a young woman who wants him but also thinks he is a cocky self-centered butt.
When they come together for a one night stand Gates and Piper know they may want more so Gates runs off. Piper writes him for a few months but when he never replies she gives up snd starts dating Tony.
Piper sees Tony do something snd runs. The only perdon she can think of to call for help is Gates. They end up running for their lives. While on the run they discover thst they love e as ch other and want to build a life together. They seem to be found awfully fast each time they move. Piper is taken from him and Gates finds a tracking device on the truck. He has one of the bad guys and learns where they have taken Piper. Gates rescues Piper and they decide to spend their lives together and start a family.

This is the story of Piper and Gates who meet at their best friend’s destination wedding. There is an instant and intense chemistry between them, and they end up having a one night stand. When Gates is deployed the pair end up not seeing each other for two years. When Piper witnesses something she should not have, she runs to escape from her ex, and straight to Gates for protection.
The author has written a great story, and had me hooked from the very beginning. I highly recommend this author’s work to all lovers of alpha bad boy romances.

Gates and Piper meet at a destination wedding where Piper is the maid of honor and Gates the best man. Sparks fly as soon add they set eyes on each other on the airplane getting to the wedding. Gates tries to get into the stewardess' pants so nothing happens with Piper then. In the reception, sparks continue to fly between them and an incident between an imbibed cousin of the groom and Piper serves as a catalyst to the Gates and Piper situation. They have a night of passion and Gates leaves to serve in the military, Piper continues with her life. Two years later, they meet at the, now married, friends' barbecue and the sparks are still there. Then the story gets somewhat more complicated.

This book starts off with our heroine and her friend going to a resort for ten days after winning a contest at college. They couldn't afford to go any other way to a hotel and place like this.
They checked in and went upstairs. They were tired so they figured they'd lay down for a bit before going out later that night. As her friend was out dancing, our heroine looks over and notices a guy and she's attracted to him. He approaches and they talk, dance and drink for the night. As the night gets on, they finally disappear to his room where they have sex.
Over a year goes by and she's tried to find the mystery guy, but it doesn't go anywhere. She's had a baby and is currently juggling the baby and full time school. Even with her parents helping her, she was struggling with being tired, with money and with the will to keep going with her schooling. She had tried to find her mystery guy, but had finally given up hope of finding him.
Our hero is a NAVY SEAL and this means lying to people especially the girls he takes home with him. Over the last 16 months, he hasn't had time off due to finding leads for terrorists. Its taking them years, but they finally brought the ring down which is why he now was a month off given to him by the brass. The girls only get one night with him - no more. This includes the morning after. However, one girl had stayed with him since the one nighter he had with her.
Now our hero was back in the states. When he sends the night before's girl away he finds an envelope on his door step with his real name and rank on it. Not the one occupation of what he told his neighbors. Inside the envelope were pictures and one was of the girl he was just thinking about. The language on the back of the picture was in Pakistani and asked him if he knew the baby. However, he had to protect the girl and the baby.
He tracked down the girl and she screamed and ranted at him. However, he told her to calm down and told her about the threat on her and her child. They decided to go away for him to get to know the child but also to protect her parents. This was short lived as they found out about her parents and threatened them. They ended back up at her parents house to protect them all.
Will they find the people behind this latest threat? Will they take them down or will our hero lose the heroine and his baby?
This was a pretty good story. It did keep you guessing. However, it seemed like the author was trying to make the hero look stronger by using swearing. Don't get me wrong, I know we all swear, but almost every time the guy spoke swearing was involved. It was overkill. This is why this only got 4 stars.

Second chances, hot sexy scenes, running for your life, just an ordinary romance novel??? NOT!
We met Gates and Piper as they head on out to their friends destination wedding. Immediately you feel the connection sizzling between them both.
They get very well acquainted, but Gates who feels something leaves her there and heads off on deployment.
Piper, slightly hurt, goes on with her life, even attempting to move on and settle down, after all its been almost a year since she had heard from him.

We met Gates and Piper as they head on out to their friends destination wedding. Immediately you feel the connection sizzling between them both.
They get very well acquainted, but Gates who feels something leaves her there and heads off on deployment.
Piper, slightly hurt, goes on with her life, even attempting to move on and settle down, after all its been almost a year since she had heard from him.

Piper and Gates meet at their friends destination wedding are instantly attracted to each other, which leads to a one night fling between the two. Two years later Piper has a new boyfriend who none of her friends like because he's clearly a creep although Piper is oblivious to it. Gates has been away on a mission during this time but they run into each other again at their friends new house. Sparks fly again and the two reconnect after Piper finally realizes the guy she's with is part of the Mafia and witnesses him committing a crime. I did not buy the emotional connection between the MC's - it seemed like it was only a physical connection between the two. It wasn't an awful book per se, just not really my cup of tea.

This is the really Ruff story of Piper and Gates. Getting on an airplane there was immediate attraction but to what end, they could never imagine. This book was full of nothing but sex, then the mafia chasing them down, then sex, then the mafia chasing them down, then sex, then the mafia chasing them down, then sex, then the mafia chasing them down, then .....well you get the picture. And once the mafia actually caught up to them they both expected the other dead, but of course Gates came to her aid, made a deal with the mafia boss and they New their love would never separate them again and became a family. It was a bit dark for me, but a quick read

Gates and Piper have always had this magnetic pull toward each other. Meeting by chance through mutual friends at a wedding and spending one steamy night together. Then separated by two years a Syrian deployment and a mobster boyfriend. But Gates comes to the rescue for Piper and they set out on a course to be together and be safe. The steamy scenes make you want to melt. BB Hamel has a way with words when it comes RJ dirty talking sex scenes and although they dominated the book it’s not to the expense of the story. Loved the book and the author.

The storyline keeps you engaged. Starts off simple two strangers going to a friends wedding. Gates a SEAL that has a cocky attitude; Piper a weather girl that seems content at her job. Surprise, surprise they both end up at the same wedding, Gates is best man to the groom and maid of honor to the bride. They end up in a steamy night together and Gates suddenly leaves to serve a term in Syria. Piper writes to him, never hears from him and moves on. Piper ends up with Tony a mobster and sees something she shouldn’t have and things get crazy from there. Story doesn’t disappoint and has a HEA.

Two years later after Gates returned to the states from serving in Syria they meet again and the sparks fly again between the two. Piper's boyfriend is a monster which Piper didn't realize and now her life is in danger so she turns to Gates for help. Lots of suspense, action, and hot sex.

This is the first book in awhile that I have completely loved from BB. I liked the last couple of books but this one was surprisingly great. It had the usual hot sexy time that you come to expect from BB’s books but it also had a interesting as well as intriguing plot. A crazy unknown mafia boyfriend and on the run with a sexy navy seal leads to a fabulous story. I enjoyed it immensely. Keep the stories coming BB. Until next time y’all happy reading.

This was a lot of fun!
Gates, a cocky Navy Seal and Piper a strong and sassy heroine. The chemistry between Gates and Piper is sooo good. The sex scenes are incredible. Tony is a stupid immature jerk and sketchy.
But what happened to Greg and Lauren? Gates tell Greg to go dark which obviously I get but it never comes up again..Just a loose end that wasn't mentioned again. I know it wasn't major to the plot but still.

Superficial and predictable plot; mostly an excuse to write lots of sex scenes with little emotional connection; just skipped them for the good action as he fights the Mafia. Gates is arrogant; 'he needs to destroy her, dominate her." Piper is so naive; "Did you have to steal his truck?" of course not, let's just wait for the big bad Mafia guys to give us a ride. It also has several silly spelling errors: He says they'll be safe at 'The United Stated Military'.

Intense Smut
I promise, nobody writes smut like Hamel. This book was filled with action and unrealistic, but full of steamy smut and a crazy sexy hero. I will say the heroine got on my nerves throughout, but she wasn't super distracting. I loved the chemistry. This is definitely worth reading

Romance with a side of violence
A bit darker with more violence than I was expecting. It seemed like every other scene almost shots were being fired. The romance was great, but the violence, not so great.

Another winner.
This story is well developed and the characters have so much chemistry that you for that it's a book and not a movie. This book has everything you want in a romance novel action,, and lots of heat.I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance with heat.

This has it all; suspense, hot chemistry, a hot alpha Seal, mafia, dirty talking sex and a second chance at romance.
I've read a lot of books written by BB Hamel. This book is as good, if not better than others I have read. You will not be disappointed.
