One Love #3

The Knocked up Plan

Rate this book
Stud Finder is a standalone, dual-POV novella that links characters from The Knocked Up Plan with the The Big Rock books and does not need to be read in any order.

There are three little words most guys don’t want to hear on the first date. Not those... I mean these... “knock me up.”

This single gal has had enough of the games, the BS and the endless chase. I know what I want most, and it’s not true love. It’s a bun in the oven, and I’m not afraid to hit up my sex-on-a-stick co-worker to do the job. Ryder is gorgeous, witty and charming—and he’s also a notorious commitment-phobe. That makes him the perfect candidate to make a deposit in the bank of me.

I won’t fall for him, he won’t fall for me, and there’s no way baby will make three.
Right?

****
There are four words every guy wants to hear on the first date—“your place or mine?”

When my hot-as-sin co-worker makes me a no-strings-attached offer that involves her place, my place, any place—as well as any position—I can’t refuse. Besides, I've got my own reasons to take her up on her deal even with her one BIG condition.

There’s no way I’ll want more from one woman than any position, any where, any night? Except... what if I do?

Note: Be prepared to swoon and fan yourself from the heat! This full-length standalone contains lots of hot baby-making s-e-x, happy tears, naughty jokes and a hot, swoon-worthy hero you will fall madly in love with.

Top Five Reasons You NEED to read The Knocked Up Plan

1. Sexy, swoon worthy hero
2. Sassy and strong heroine
3. It's sexy-and has a hell of a first kiss
4. Fun, refreshing plot
5. Lauren Blakely wrote it.

I'm always a fan of Lauren Blakely's work-her writing is my kryptonite. When I see her books on my kindle they immediately move to the top of my TBR list-and I devour them. I try to savor...but I just can't. The concept this particular book sounded so different that I was dying to get my hands on it. I wanted to see the journey these two took. As I've come to expect from Ms. Blakely this book had me laughing out loud in spots, and swooning in others. It even had me crying-more than once.

From the very first sentence I was sucked in. Nicole charmed me immediately-I adored her. I GOT her. I thought she was funny and sweet. She's a strong woman who isn't afraid to go after what she wants. Her support system is great-both family and friends-and I loved cheering her on as I read along.

Ryder. Holy sexy Ryder. I was expecting to find him fun and to fall in love with him a bit but he stole my heart. He's funny and smart but there's this vulnerable side I didn't see coming. Watching him evolve personally was incredible. He had me swooning and sighing.

Now these two together? Prepare for your kindle to melt. The spark between them quickly becomes an inferno. Their first kiss is going down as one of my top five first kisses ever written-it's that good.

But it's not all heat between them. Don't get me wrong, the sexy times are fantastic, but it's the relationship these two begin to unintentionally craft that had me grinning. Crazy fun dates, sweet little moments. The situation these two choose to put themselves in is tricky-and the author shows the balance they need to have perfectly. I haven't found another author who portrays the reality of a relationship as well as Lauren Blakely does.

I *have* to mention the supporting cast of characters here. If you've read any of this author's other books be prepared to see some past characters make an appearance. I loved seeing these characters (even if they were just briefly mentioned) and catching up with them. I literally danced in my chair when my all time favorite Lauren Blakely hero made a cameo appearance. Don't worry-If you haven't read other books it's ok-this IS a standalone.

I'd rate this book higher than five stars if I possibly could. It's just that incredible. This is a book I will read over and over. It has everything-humor, heart and heat. The characters are sexy and fun and real. Ms. Blakely has shown again why she is an immediate one click author for me and I eagerly look forward to her next book. I highly recommend The Knocked Up Plan.

Just when I think I can't possibly love her words any more, Lauren Blakely releases her BEST BOOK YET !! I'll try, but possibly fail to tell you how amazing The Knocked Plan is. It's everything I've come to expect from this amazing author and more!

 photo somuchyay.jpg

Here's the breakdown: Nicole Roberts is a sassy, but single professional woman. Ironically, she's a dating columnist who's never been in love. Despite that little setback, she hears her biological clock ticking double time and sets out on plan to have the baby she desperately wants. The catch? The man she wants to father her baby is her coworker.

What I LOVED: Everything is probably to broad an answer, right? But it so true!!
 photo lovegif_1.gif

The writing is flawless.
The plot and execution is spectacular.
The main and secondary characters are exceptional.
The character/relationship development flows perfectly.
The conflict and resolution are brilliantly delivered.
You guys get the picture, right? 😉 The book is amazing.

So, let's talk about some of the little things I adored. This book confirmed a few very important things for me:
1. Cupcakes really are everything, but the frosty is the best part!
2. Getting pregnant is so much fun; being pregnant...not so much in the first trimester. At least, that was the case with the 2 Rosemary's babies I delivered.
3. Lauren Blakely writes the swooniest (yes that's a word) male characters EVER!
Gah! Ryder is so sweet, kind, and sexy. He's been hurt in the past and therefore a little guarded. That just added to his appeal. He's my new BBF!

But what really made this a win for me is overall nature of the story. It's what I'd label "grown and sexy". The characters are mature and honest about their feelings. Yea, there are mistakes and misunderstandings, but they remain polished, professional, and self aware. That's a definite plus for me. I'm so impressed by the overall feel of the book.

 photo soawesome.jpg

So, to wrap it all up - I FLOVED IT! It couldn't get any better. I give it my highest recommendation and Lauren "Knocked" this one out of the park. Read it; you'll love it. I promise!!

Before I even opened The Knocked Up Plan, I'd like to attest that I think I got knocked up from this cover because PANTY...MELTING...HOT. I was DONE!!! Could a cover make me pregnant?!? Leather, six-pack abs, hand on the belt buckle, and smoldering look...hmm...maybe. I think I did feel some flutters down there from The Knocked Up Plan. I seriously considered 5-staring this story from the thigh-clenching cover alone. Who was I kidding?!? A Lauren Blakely rom-com is a GUARANTEED 5-STAR DELIGHT.

If I wasn't already knocked up by the ovary-combusting cover, the The Knocked Up Plan SYNOPSIS sank the deal. This buyer didn't need the full sales pitch...ALREADY SOLD!!!

There are three little words most guys don't want to hear on the first date. Not those...I mean these..."knock me up."

Knock me up?!? Oh hell yes...please do!!! I had to pretend I was the heroine because I was claiming Hot Cover Boy as MINE. Oh this gal wants a baby daddy. If it's Hot Cover Boy with his hot name of Ryder, then color me green with envy because I would jump into this book and volunteer as a tribute.

There are four words every guy wants to hear on the first date—"your place or mine."

Mine...ALL MINE. Did I say MINE enough?!? I'm claiming Hot Cover Boy as mine before I even read his story.

This woman. She's going to be so fun to play like a violin.

Did Ryder say PLAY?!? Oh yes can this hot alpha with his piercing blue eyes, dark hair, tall, and muscular body can play. He plays HARD and FAST.

The chemistry between Ryder and Nicole is COMBUSTIBLE!!! They are magic together. I admit...I was a bit jealous.

I will say this about Ryder Lockhart: he has a world-class tongue. He's a champion with his mouth, and he treats me like a dessert.

Ryder started out as Hot Cover Boy because I may or may not have eye-stalked the cover long and hard before diving into this delicious story. Then he was Involuntary Thigh-Clenching Co-worker. Finally he was...don't want to give the spoilers...HEART-THUMPING PERFECTION!!! I ADORED this alpha with an enormous heart!

Ryder BURNS those panties right off. Just forget wearing any. He is a pleaser, and his DELIVERY is ON POINT. ACCESS ACCEPTED.

This man is obsessed with my pleasure. It's his drug, his addiction, and I want to give him his fix. I want the fix too.

As much as Ryder has mad skills delivering the HEAT, he is so attentive and SWEET. I MELTED into a puddle of goo because SWEETNESS.

He drops a kiss to my forehead. Tingles spread everywhere—all over my body, to the tips of my toes and the ends of my hair.

"Do that again," I command as the world falls
away and all I feel are his lips, his tenderness, and his warmth.

"As you wish."

Ryder is the ultimate Prince Charming who is PURE PERFECTION.

In one of her hottest and heartwarming books ever, Lauren Blakely blasts the both the heat and heart in The Knocked Up Plan. I cried ALL THE HAPPY TEARS. The Knocked Up Plan knocked so much sizzle and sweetness into me that I was both SMOLDERING and SWOONING! I was ENAMORED with every ounce of this story. So much LOVE!!!

The Knocked Up Plan is a FRESH, FUN, and FEEL-GOOD FAIRYTALE of a love story where you can't help but float all the way to Cloud Nine!!! I. Can't. Stop. Floating!!! Prepare to be WOWED as you bask in the Lauren Blakely magic! Laugh-out-loud, heart-stopping sexy, and swoon-worthy, The Knocked Up Plan is the perfect punch to the heart.

💋💋💋💋💋 fire-hot and float-on-clouds kisses

Where do i start with this book? I was dying to get my greedy little hands on this. I waited in the corner, patiently, or not.
I would message Lauren.

But lets face it she's Lauren Blakely you think she needs my help. NOPE.

SO she sends me a message at five pm with the words everyone dies to hear.

CHECK YOUR KINDLE!!!

So you do what any normal human would do, you grab McDonald for you kids and slide into bed at Five forty five. I'm only going to read a couple of chapters. I said. It will be fine I said. I got this I sad. Fast forward six hours and I end the night hugging my IPAD with a smile permanently on my face.

There are three little words most guys don’t want to hear on the first date. Not those…I mean these… “knock me up.”

I can't tell you the amount of times I giggled in this book. I can't tell you how many times I literally laughed out loud I also can't tell you the amount of times that I had tears running down my face from laughing.

So these two work together and are experts on all things sex. I mean she names some positions I had to Goggle. And I have to say I'm thankful for that because things are about to get pretty freaky over here. Also I will never look at a wheel barrow the same again.

There are four words every guy wants to hear on the first date — “your place or mine?”

So she wants a baby, he wants sex. It's a no brainer they should do this thing together.
I mean there is no reason to use this

when you have this

The sex between these two were off the wall, insanely hot, besides who doesn't love a guy who says ride my face hard???

So what starts off as a mission to knock her up becomes something so much more. In it's place is a friendship, an understanding and more importantly love.

There’s no way I’ll want more from one woman than any position, any where, any night? Except . . . what if I do?

It was so much more than anything I could put into words. You wont be sorry that you picked this one up!

Review to follow. 👶🏻🔥

My heart is pregnant with love for The Knocked Up Plan. Dare I say The Knocked Plan is my favorite LB book? Nicole and Ryder are two relationship coaches with commitment issues. Over nine-plus months, these two sexperts learn a thing or two about life, love, and commitment. I thought I knew how this story was going to play out. Nicole wanted a baby via a sperm donor. Ryder wanted to have no-strings-attached baby making sex and help out his hot co-worker with her plan. Total win/win situation. What I didn’t see coming was how this non-conventional relationship was going to develop into a slow-burning romance. The baby making part didn’t suck. Jeez…this book was perfect. The Knocked Up Plan was heartfelt, angsty and oh so sexy. The characters were strong, and the plot was fresh and fun. Plan to read this one!

Oh Lauren Blakely... you hold a special place in my dirty book loving heart... You always deliver (hah!) the perfect blend of witty, charming, and sexy! You took a pregnancy plot and rolled it around in your devilishly smart brain and popped out another uniquely Lauren Blakely winner! Ryder and Nicole are the perfect match for each other. I can't say enough about how much I love reading this book. One of my favorite things was their jobs and how that played such a big role in who they were, how they related to one another...especially in the sex department!

True to Blakely form, each character has their own journey to get through to get to that "Ah ha!" moment and when they do ... BLISS!!!

Trust me when I tell you that you don't want to miss The Knocked Up Plan -it's perfection!

ARC received for an honest review

Gimme gimme gimme - that's me every time a new Lauren Blakely book is on the horizon.

What would happen if How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days met The Back Up Plan.

That is kind of the premise of this friends-to-parents-to-lovers story.

I just loved everything about this story. It is sweet, sexy, funny and a whole lotta hot.

I feel that I could be best friends with Nicole - she is smart, sassy, funny and knows what she wants and will do what she has to get it.

Ryder is all kinds of hot and sexy and swoonworthy - yes, definitely got my swoon on reading this.

It is adorable watching these friends fall for each other - even though neither of them wants or expects anything more than some hot AF baby making.

I was hooked from the first "O" to the last. This is what Ms Blakely does. She lures you in and has you rabidly reading until the wee hours of the morning, just to know what is happening with her lovelies.

Now I am impatiently waiting for what she will bring us next.

Ahhhh! Lauren Blakely never disappoints. I fall in love with her characters so easily. Her stories always make my heart pitter patter, awe and swoon! The Knocked Up Plan was no different.

The premise itself was enough to intrigue me and once I started I couldn't stop (I even fell asleep on my couch around 3 in the morning because I didn't want to pause my reading). Nicole and Ryder shared such amazing chemistry and I enjoyed every bit of their time together.

Co-workers and practically "sexperts" with their own radio shows, they each have their own take on relationships and sex. Of course, it's completely opposite. Nicole hasn't felt the sparks of love and Ryder was burned by it, so the advice they give their listeners is on opposite sides of the spectrum but it fit perfectly with their personalities. What adds so much to the story is the friendship they share. Nicole and Ryder get along very well and hang out together like buddies. She's sexy but also the kind of girl the guys love to hang out with and Ryder is gentlemanly and pretty hot to look at.

So when Nicole thinks it's a great idea to use Ryder as a sperm donor instead of the faceless names on a list they both figure it's a great idea. Ryder is all for it. He can finally give in to the attraction he's had for her and won't be tied down once it's all said and done. Of course we all know that's not how it works out.

I just adored this story and it's characters. They made me laugh and melted my heart. They both had so much depth that made them that much more real to me. That's something I get with every Lauren Blakely book I read. Word after word is pure entertainment and fills this reader with absolute joy!

FAVORITE QUOTES:
His eyes are so kind and so sexy at the same time. How is it possible? I’m going to need to gather all the scientists of the world to study this man.

The man makes oral sex a two-person sport, and in return I get the best Os I’ve ever had.

She is utterly wonderful. She is so good to me. This woman is everything I want, and everything I don’t want to lose again.

I’m not above begging. I have no shame when it comes to the bottomless pit of desire I possess for Ryder Lockhart.

“Every day, I fell a little deeper. For her mind, her soul, her body, and, most of all, her heart. Her wonderful, huge, amazing heart that cared for me, looked out for me, and has this endless well of love.”

As our lips touch, everyone else fades away. I have all I want right here in my arms. Sometimes you get more than you get, and you don’t stop kissing the girl.

"I want all of you. You made my knees weak the first time you kissed me, and you still do.”

The Knocked Up Plan is a definite MUST HAVE!!

5 SMOOCHES!

I’m not even going to pretend that I’m anything but a huge Lauren Blakely fan girl. She just seems understand what I want in a romantic comedy, and she nails it for me every single time. Just when I think she couldn’t possibly top her last book, she comes out with another that totally sweeps me off my feet. Asking me to pick a favorite is like asking me to select the best chocolate chip from the bag. It’s impossible, they’re all wonderful little bits of awesomeness. But sometimes, one will rise to the top of the bag in all it’s perfectly formed glory, and for me this year, it’s The Knocked Up Plan.

Everything I love about romantic comedies was here, all wrapped up into a fabulously well written package. The plot wasn’t a typical workplace romance, and Blakely’s take on this genre was a breath of fresh air. I’m always impressed by the research she does for her books. This author is wildly creative, and she always finds something interesting and fun that makes each of her couples unique—their “thing.” I loved what she did in this book–it was romantic, exciting and, quite honestly, pretty darn inspiring.

These two characters are professional communicators, so it was no surprise that they had the banter down pat—it was sharp, witty and never missed a beat. The humor in this book is abundant, but pay very close attention. What really kept me grinning throughout this story was the completely pragmatic way this couple approached their arrangement. Totally oblivious to their mutual attraction, neither one of them ever really considered the ramifications of throwing some romance onto that blazing inferno of lust. It was pretty tongue-in-cheek, and I have to say Blakely executed it spectacularly. I think all of her readers will agree, though, that while she doesn’t hesitate to put obstacles in her characters’ paths to their happily-ever-afters, she also doesn’t allow those obstacles to turn into these big, drawn-out, pain-filled, angst-ridden scenarios. There is just enough contention, just the right amount of conflict, before she delivers an incredibly satisfying resolution. I don’t know how other readers feel about that, but I find it pretty dang refreshing.

I just couldn’t put this book down! It was so romantic, so swoony, so incredibly sexy! The Knocked Up Plan kept me furiously tapping my Kindle, late into the night, while simultaneously lamenting the turn of those pages and the fact that each one drew the story closer to completion. Three-hundred-plus pages of pure reading pleasure, this story kept me smiling from start to finish. Five smooches from me for Lauren Blakely’s The Knocked Up Plan!

I don't have much the say about this one except that I enjoyed it.
It was a cute, fun, and light read and I really liked the two main characters.

Very low on the angst, but high on the fun...very little bullshit, which I am definitely in the mood for sometimes.

A definite win if you are into this trope.

The Knocked Up Plan is a brand new stand-alone by Lauren Blakely and all you can say is that she has knocked it out of the park.
Nicole Powers a single woman living in the city, a radio DJ who gives advice on dating and romance but the one thing missing in her happy life is that of a child. Nicole will do whatever is needed to make that happen and maybe just maybe Ryder Lockhart can be the answer.
Ryder Lockhart is a divorced guy, giving out advice on the radio but with the bitterness of the way his life turned out but when his boss calls him out on it life needs to change and when your co-worker asks you a life changing question everything you know can change on a dime.
Nicole & Ryder co workers, friends and now each helping the other out, her for a life changing event and him to keep his job. You will see how with each page and each chapter how two people with different reasons come together and you can't help feel that the life they both envisioned would blend so perfectly. There will be many heartwarming moments in Nicole & Ryder's story but there will be times that doubt will sneak its way into their hearts and you will feel their turmoil but when you see the perfect person standing right in front of you, you want to see them take that leap and hope they catch each other.

Wildly romantic! Incredibly sexy! Hilarious and sweet! The Knocked Up Plan HAD IT ALL! The PERFECT romance to kick your Summer into HIGH GEAR! Ryder and Nicole are Lauren Blakely's BEST CHARACTERS YET! Lauren Blakely always manages to grab my attention right away and then keeps me absolutely consumed the whole way through. I DEVOUR every word and I'm HOOKED to every interaction these characters have. THIS is what Ms. Blakely does best! I'm ADDICTED and there is no remedy to be had. If you are familiar with my reviews, then you know that I think that Lauren Blakely's Romantic Comedies are some of THE BEST out there in the romance genre today! If you haven't picked up one of her stories, then you are missing out, BIG TIME!

"Fuck that romance shit. I want you in bed, woman."

Ryder Lockhart and Nicole Powers initiate 'Project Bun in the Oven', and the journey is sweet, sexy, swoony, and hilarious! The perfect blend of comedy, romance, and emotional pull, THE KNOCKED UP PLAN was a TRUE DELIGHT to read! It has Blakely's typical concoction of naughty and nice. I couldn't put this down for even a second. Once you start a romance by this woman, there is no going back. The chemistry is ON POINT! The banter is magical! The romance flies off of the pages in spades. Are you currently experiencing the dreaded book hangover? Have you been in a book slump for days with no way out? This book right here...this book is your cure! Lighthearted, flirty, romantic, and oh so sexy...with characters that will pull you in and never let go, THE KNOCKED UP PLAN is the perfect romance for you to completely lose yourself in for a few hours.

Oh how I love reading books by Lauren Blakely! They never disappoint, but if I could only get her voice out of my head while reading them lol!

This book is a stand alone and it's off the charts with greatness! Ryder and Nicole are so perfect for each other! I love how the author developed their characters and made me fall in love with each one!

Who would have thought a book about two radio show hosts could be a great story!? Leave it to Lauren Blakely to make that happen!

She wants a baby... He has been burned by a female and has a commitment phobia because of it. Two co-workers that have a plan for Nicole to have a baby. However, he has a condition how this baby will be conceived (and it won't be in a test tube). My oh my what a turn of events that happen in this book!!

Another great story by one of my favorite authors!!

Top five reasons why you should READ The Knocked Up Plan:
1) It's funny and witty
2) Ryder and Nicole are sexperts
3) Baby making scenes are really HOT
4) Cupcakes are life
5) Nerds, sexy, sexy, nerds

Oh gosh, when Lauren Blakely writes a book she throws all the expected tropes out the window and gives you a refreshing story. Forget all the stories you've read before about how coworkers turn to lovers, Ryder and Nicole will take you on an adventure. Forget all the stories you've read about how a friend asks a friend to help them make a baby, this arrangement is a little different. Honestly, read this book with a clear head and you will not only laugh, you will fall in love with two people who are so perfectly paired.

I seriously loved, LOVED this book. Ryder, Nicole and their supportive entourage had me turning pages. I didn't want to put the book down. You'll catch up on character favorite. You'll meet new characters... ( See number 5 on my top five list, yes, thank you very much ) But most importantly, you will fall in love with these characters. Lauren never disappoints and her stories are always so refreshing.

Ahhh.. one more thing... reading this book will probably knock YOU up. I can guarantee it!

Top 5 Signs You've Just Finished a Lauren Blakely Book:
1. You can't stop smiling.
2. Your cheeks are flushed (because: holy hotness).
3. You're exhausted from staying up well past 2 am.
4. You're eagerly scouring the end of the book to confirm certain minor characters will be getting their own book (which they will!).
5. You have a book hangover in which you're convinced that no other book's ending can make you this deliriously happy and perfectly satisfied (at least until Lauren Blakely's next release...).

A new Lauren Blakely book = a new story and new characters to fall in love with. Plain and simple. After finishing her latest release, The Knocked Up Plan, all I could do was sit with a wide grin on my face, reliving the fan-your-face steamy, oh-so-adorable love story between protagonists, Ryder Lockhart and Nicole Powers. With The Knocked Up Plan, the author takes two single co-workers who are wildly attracted to each other, throws in a raging case of baby fever plus some overwhelmingly potent chemistry, and gives readers a not-so-accidental pregnancy romance, packed with humor, heat, and heart.

Told from the viewpoints of both Nicole and Ryder, The Knocked Up Plan follows the story of two radio hosts, one with a ticking biological clock and the other a self-professed commitment-phobe in need of a career boost. Within the first few pages of the book, I was pretty much in love with Ryder. Nicole’s description of her sex-on-a-stick co-worker is incredibly effusive and left absolutely nothing to the imagination. The guy is a Lauren Blakely hero so his dreaminess didn’t come as a surprise but that did have to be a record for how quickly the author had me drooling over a character I hadn’t even met! What also didn’t come as a surprise? That Ryder was Nicole’s ideal candidate to put a bun in her oven.

The combination of Nicole's knocked up plan and Ryder's ten-date work assignment makes their no-strings-attached arrangement slightly more complicated. What starts as a flirtatious, easygoing rapport, complete with witty, innuendo-laden banter, quickly becomes a wildly passionate, uninhibited affair. Emotions get involved, barriers are lowered, and lust overrides logic. With all the yo-yoing feelings, all I have to say is…thank goodness for dual perspectives. While the protagonists are individually agonizing over their inner struggles, we, the reader, are privy to their every unfiltered thought. It's like being the first to discover a juicy secret and experiencing a whirlwind of emotions – hope, frustration, happiness, anguish – as the secret unfolds.

If you’re looking for a romance that’s sexy, sweet, and entertaining, The Knocked Up Plan is a heartwarming, fun-loving read and I can’t recommend it enough.

Ms. Blakely never ceases to amaze me. Her talent continues to grow as she sets out to delight and entice her readers. Whether setting the stage for adventure, luring into danger or manipulating the heart and hormones, the name Blakely is synonymous with IRRESISTIBLE. The Knocked Up Plan has a reputation to live up to and it does so with the thrill of the chase and the heat of the attraction while delivering laughs that are punch line gold. I loved that she dreamed up two people that are more alike than most characters in romance. The commonalities far outweigh their differences but the battle still simmers with each look and conversation Ryder and Nicole exchange.

I just finished this book. OUCH! I AM BURNING! Handle with care... this book is off the charts HOT!

What is a girl to do when the biological clock is ticking, there are no prospects in sight, and you want a baby? Easy! You find a potential donor with all the right assets and you hope he will share some of his "baby batter" with you. Oh, yes! Don't forget to draft a contract with all the rules, like no paternal rights, no STD's, monogamous until the job is done, etc. etc. etc. If you are not using a turkey baster to do the deed, but rather want to go the original way, just make sure no emotions are involved. It can be fun that way, just protect your heart from irreparable damage.

This is a fun, heart-tugging, emotional, titillating and off the charts HOT story. The "fun" scenes are so sensual your hot flashes will not let you sleep. Just keep ice on hand.

Absolutely recommended to all over 18. Keep your eye on the cupcakes and the frosting!

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. It is awesome and I thank the author for a copy.

And baby makes five stars!

Review at Of Pens and Pages.

We have another fun, sexy, and hilarious book from Lauren Blakely! The Knocked Up Plan will leave you laughing, swooning, and falling in love with its great plot, perfect pacing, and an engaging story from start to finish.

TOP 5 REASONS WHY THE KNOCKED UP PLAN IS A FIVE-STAR READ

1. Hilarious banter and effortless sense of humor
A few pages in and I’m already laughing so much! These two romance and sex experts who get along really well can flirt each other and keep the sexual tension and humor perfectly balanced. It’s an innuendo minefield, but like Blakely’s previous works, not once have I thought their humorous exchanges about tadpoles and cupcakes were juvenile.

2. Fur babies and human babies
We don’t have to have baby fever to find them irresistible. Aside from Nicole’s obsession with babies and her goal to have one, she and Ryder are great parents to their own fur babies. Nicole has Ruby, an Irish Setter mix, while Ryder has Romeo, a Border Collie. I tend to like people with pets more. So these two went up my favorite couples list just from their status as fur parents. Haha!

3. Nicole is a strong, confident, and endearing woman
She knows what she wants and will do it whether or not there’s a man beside her to do it. But even if she decided to go on an independent route to have her baby, she’s still a romantic and will always be a champion of the happily ever after. And you can see with her interactions with her family and friends how great of a woman she is. She’s sweet, funny, and can stand on her own.

4. Ryder is sexy, charming, and swoon worthy
As Nicole’s counterpart in the romance expertise department, Ryder used to give amazing advice to win a girl’s heart. After his seemingly perfect marriage crashed and burned, Ryder closed his heart to anyone, becoming a commitment-phobe. Despite his issues with romance, he’s charming and sexy without looking or acting like a douchebag. Then when things started changing for him and Nicole, swoon alert!!!

He’s sweet, caring, and protective. He’s thoughtful and considerate. I could wax poetic about this man all day, I swear.

5. Friends to Lovers Romance
“First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in a baby carriage…” Obviously, things didn’t work out that way for Nicole and Ryder, and you know what, it’s what I loved the most about these two. They started out as colleagues and good friends who think highly of each other. Ryder agreed to become her sperm-donor in exchange for her help with a column he needed to do to keep his job. Ten dates for a baby? Sure.

With the baby-making and dates for Ryder’s segment on their horizon, we all know love is bound to follow.

The Knocked Up Plan is definitely a top read that romance readers and fans of Lauren Blakely will enjoy and love!

As usual, Lauren has provided us with yet another wonderful swoonworthy hero in Ryder. He is gorgeous, sexy, smart, funny, sweet and witty and did I mention sexy? He is the host of a radio show that gives dating advice to men, although he is now divorced after finding out his wife was a serial cheater so what he does is rather ironic. He is not looking for love at all.
Nicole works for the same station and has her own show for women similar to Ryder's giving advice on relationships. She is strong, beautiful, funny, and feisty and good friends and ping pong partners. They have a great working relationship. Nicole is also not looking for love.
What she is looking for is a sperm donor so she can have a baby. Unhappy with the pickings at the sperm bank, she realizes, Ryder actually has all the qualities she is looking for and decides to ask him to help her.
Ryder's boss wants him to change up his show and he decides Nicole wold be the perfect woman to ask for help. He needs someone to go on dates with him purely for research sake without really dating them.
They meet and discuss what they need and want from each other and decide they can handle this arrangement. With the only difference being that Ryder wants to help Nicole the old fashioned way.
Can they keep feelings out of the mix or will they both get knocked over while trying to get Nicole knocked up?
This is such a clever and witty story that is backed up with some serious chemistry between our hero/heroine. Throw in some sweet, tender and emotional moments and hotter than hot sexy times and you have yourself another winner by this wonderful wizard of rom-coms!!!

➦So I sort of kind of read two books with the same trope this month. The whole "I need a donor for the baby but not an actual relationship with you but we might as well have some hot sex while we're at it" trope. :D

➦Obviously, this one. And the second one was Hot Cop, if anyone cares. I did love them both. They were a bit different, however, not only because of the characters but also because of the... of the... I don't know, VIBENESS, or something.

➦The Knocked up Plan is a sweet and sexy kind of read while Hot Cop is a funny and dirty kind. At least that's what I thought. :) And you know,

➦So anyways. What's the chance of these two actually falling in love while trying to make a baby? This sentence makes 0 sense when out of context O.O lol It's a recommend from me if you are a fan of Lauren Blakely - it's one of my favorite books from her for sure. And whenever you're in the mood for sweet and sexy, do not hesitate to pick this one up!

*I received an Advanced Copy of this book from the author, publisher or representative for my honest review. All opinions are my own.*

Lauren Blakely tiptoed through my heart and mind and wrote the emotional side of my life and had me in tears. I relate to everything about this story that I said "Did she steal my life?" Lol. But in pure Blakely fashion those tears quickly turned to laughs and is everything you want and need to be "knocked up" by a book. Basically I'm having a book baby. Due Date June 23.

I know this review is short, but you get the point. It's a Blakely MUST READ!

Ok, by now you all know I love how Lauren Blakely writes. She has figured out how to approach any number of ideas and make it her own- No, this isn't American Idol, Wendy - She does so much more than just the usual. At first glance, it could be easy to overlook all she brings to a tale... because when you write so well, the intricacies, the nuances can slide by.

In The Knocked Up Plan, Blakey takes the idea of a woman whose biological clock is ticking and needs to find a donor for the desired baby. We have read a bunch of these...and they can be entertaining, sweet and work.

With Blakely, we get the entertaining, sweet and then this additional layering of amazingly sexy, hot, yummy dirty and seriously caring. It is like this perfect set up of characters who are cut from sexually smart cloth...easy and happy with who they are...have this way of communicating which works and then both come to the same emotional place at almost the same time.

We got this story which tackled dating... and dating to woo someone...not just get laid. It came from both male and female perspectives and felt true to each character. Each person was solid. They were strong individuals on their own... and then together...fantastic.

And when they were together
Sigh...

And let's not forget the main events...
The Baby-Making...
Let's see...

Yummy, Delicious, Hot, Out of This World Orgasmic...To Name a Few...
Yup... PURE BLAKELY ALL THE WAY...

But what else is pure Blakely is the wonder of all that is happening between them... each of these people didn't think they could love... for her at all...
and for him... Again.

So as we experience this arc, we are given all the awe moments, the realizations of the change in what is happening... a HEA to want for your own...

Plus we have the friendship and intermingling of past characters from other books.

A Win-Win for all.
Do yourself a favor... Circle the date June 23rd, 2017 on your calendar.

Do not plan any events, work, or personal. Do not schedule anything except a day to purchase, kick back, and enjoy this book. Get ready for the endorphin rush. It is a great one.

Ryder, Oh how I loved me some, Ryder! He was just everything in this book and he made my heart melt. Ryder was burnt before and figured this no strings baby making commitment would be the best thing for him. As time progresses he starts to fall for Nicole. The battle he had over his feelings wanted to make me reach in my Kindle and hug him. Watching him let his guard down and fall in love again was amazing. There wasn't any he wouldn't do for Nicole and their Papaya and it was so heartfelt and genuine. Nicole was a perfect match for Ryder as well. She didn't believe love and an happily ever after was in the cards for her either. Watching her go through the motions had me in my feels as well. Blakely always seems to write the perfect match for each character. I don't know how she does it but I'm not complaining!

Lauren Blakely has done it again with this book!! Each book is like a fine wine and just keeps getting better and better. Every time I think have a favorite leading man the next one sweeps me off my feet! The writing, her delivery is just perfect!! I was so emotionally invested with these characters right up to the very end. Not only is Lauren Blakely the Queen of Rom Com she can definitely make you feel everything! I laughed, smiled, sighed and swoon while reading this book. I have yet to read a book by this author that I haven't LOVED and she has quickly become one of my favorites.

The Knocked Up Plan by Lauren Blakely
Lauren has delivered another bundle of joy for her readers. The Knocked Up Plan is a fun read that left this reader with a warm heart and a need to have a tissue box handy. This is not a sappy chick flick kind of book but there are moments when I just couldn’t help feeling sad for Nicole. I must also tell you I spent much of the time laughing. There were also moments when you wanted to smack them upside the head and say WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!!!!
This is the first book that I have shared the plot to and read some of the lines out loud to my husband. I would be sitting there chuckling and he would ask what was so funny and I would read the passage. Let me tell you he just looked at me with a confused look on his face and didn’t even crack a smile. He has no clue why I continue to read these books (shhhh being male and all he doesn’t understand the NEED to read).
We get to meet Nicole when she is going to tell her friends she has decided to have a child. It is the one thing she wants more than anything and she is going to do it on her own. She works for Hanky Panky Love (hahaha love this name), the dating division of media company. She writes a column and has a radio show on giving advice to women about sex and dating.
Ryder Lockhart works for the same company any Nicole and they have been friends for the year he has worked there. Ryder does the same thing as Nicole only for men. He was married but is not divorced. His ex-wife had many affairs and was a sex addict. We get to learn how he found out and what went through his head during that time. Ryder is the type of man we all wish we can find. He takes his vows seriously so he felt very betrayed when he found out about her cheating. Divorce was his only option.
Nicole believe she is broken because she has not found love and believes she isn’t capable of feeling that way for a man. Ryder doesn’t want to put his heart on the line again because he doesn’t want to get hurt. What happens when these two decide to work together to reach a common goal? You are going to have to read to find out.
As a reader you almost dread picking up a romance book because they are all the same—find love; loose love; make up. Not in Lauren books. Her writing style is fun and flow seamlessly. It is fun to read text conversations between the characters; get to read what is going on in the character’s head or read their top 5 lists to decide how to proceed next. A lot of time the characters are on the same page and don’t even know it. The complexity of the story line seems to flow naturally through the pages and keeps the reader interested.

I just have to get this out of the way first...*swoon* Lauren Fucking Blakely never disappoints. With every book I fall in love even more with her writing and her characters. Ryder is definitely in my Top 5 Blakely Men list. And Nicole is up there for one of my favorite heroines. Together...they are everything and more.

Two dating radio show hosts. One as given up on finding the one. The other thought he found the one and got burned. He doesn't want that again. So when his sexy co-worker explains what she wants most in life, he is willing to give it. A baby. No expectations. No future daddy duties. She just wants his swimmers. But, he has one condition. They create it the old fashioned way. Nicole has no problem signing on the dotted line. It's not the first time she thought about what sex would be like with him. His voice alone could cause her to orgasm. Add in his sexy smirk, charm, and a million other assets, she can't say no. He is the perfect donor. He doesn't want commitment. There is no way they could fall in love. It's just sex with a contract. It's business, really. Right?

Let the baby making begin!! This is the fun part. The sexy as sin part. The part that will give Nicole exactly what she has always wanted. It's supposed to be clinical, awkward, and nerve wrecking but it's not. She knows when that bun is in the oven she is going to miss this. Ryder is a giver times ten. He is also so much fun. In and outside of the bedroom. But she knows this has to end. He doesn't want all of this. He is just being a good friend. And getting his own pleasure at the same time. But, what if? What if things change between them after she gets knocked up?

Omg! This book is so much more than I expected. It was more emotional. I connected with Nicole and Ryder instantly. I just knew that I would fall hard for both of them. Yep! Nicole is girl crush worthy. And Ryder...oh, Ryder. Yes. He is hot. But he so much more. He has a big heart, sweet, protective, funny, and smart. I was rooting for this couple from the start. The connection was just there. You could feel it between them. And as they got to know each other it just got deeper and deeper. They are one of those couples that I won't ever forget.

Overall...it's one of those books that you don't want to end. But at the same time you want to know how it will end. It's a fun, sexy, sweet, and emotional story. It's full of sexiness, laughter, and tears. Thank you, Lauren for another Blakely Man to add to my list. I can't wait for the next one.

Quotes:

He could read the phone book and make it sound like foreplay, which means everything he says makes you feel like a cat in mating season, even if he’s talking about changing the toner in the copy machine. I’d probably have a dirty dream about toner if he did.

“Let’s talk about cupcakes, baby.”

The man is obsessed with my pleasure. It’s his drug, his addiction, and I want to give him his fix.

This book had me feeling all of the hormones, all of the romance and every feel, it even made my eyes leak! Ryder swooned me off my feet with his hot baby daddy charming awesomeness. He touched me in all the right places and hot footed it right up to become first place as the favourite Blakely Boy, if you can be that romantic you make me tear up, you win my heart Ryder......

Nicole is a sexy doll, not afraid to go it alone, strong, sassy and determined to get what she wants, yet open to altering her plans if things don't go exactly to 'plan'.

Adored this book, it has all I ever want from Lauren, but it just was bursting with so much more I will have to listen on Audible to get more of these feels again...... ahhhh

Damn that Lauren Blakely. She's cast her voodoo magic on me once again with this latest rom-com of hers. The Knocked Up Plan knocked ME off of my feet, happily floating in a world of pure bliss. She somehow manages to craft her words just right so that I'm as swept away by this unexpected romance just as much as her characters are.

This is the ultimate in charming romance involving two co-workers, Ryder and Nicole, who genuinely like each other and who are truly nice people. Who find their chemistry translates into wildly steamy nights all in the name of giving Nicole what she has always wanted: a baby. A simple premise made exquisitely complicated (thank goodness) when love rears its wonderful head.

Yes I swooned. I sighed. I felt everything and more. And sure we've all read plenty of friends to lovers kind of stories but the writing style that is so uniquely Blakely sets this one apart from so many others. There is always that mutual respect, that sweet vulnerability that is never taken for granted and the passion that drives both characters to gladly give their hearts away. Add in some familiar faces from prior books, the ever-present loyal four legged friend, wickedly adorable humor, and you get a wonderful read. Plain and simple.

Grab this one since it's destined to become a favorite summer read for 2017 since it's quite perfect for those lazy days by the pool or beach.

5 very happy stars!

What do you get when you have a cup of baby batter and a cupcake bank? Another best seller from Lauren Blakely! I have been a HUGE fan of Lauren's since her first book and I've had the immense pleasure of meeting her. Each book has touched me in a different way, but this book (for me) took things to a whole new level. The Knocked Up Plan not only has a fabulous couple (Ryder and Nicole), two main dogs (Romeo and Ruby), great friends (Delaney, Penny, Tyler, and other favorite Lauren characters), but also a bun in the oven. As someone who can't have children but always wanted them, this story touched my heart. I laughed at Ryder's callous attitude towards men in relationships (early on in the book) and I cried at the end (no plots revealed). This story will hit you squarely in the funny bone while pulling subtly at your heart strings, and before you realize, you will be all in with your entire heart. The love that is shown between Ryder and Nicole goes beyond just them, but to the new life they created. Thank you Lauren for this beautiful book!!

Hands down, this is one of my favorite Lauren Blakely books. Off all time (and I've been reading her books for many years now). Ryder is top three of my favorite of her boys now, and Nicole is one of her best heroines.
This story is swoony, sexy, heartfelt, and yes, damn funny! I had all the feels with this one, and I stayed up way too late to make sure they got their HEA. Yeah, yeah, I knew there would be an HEA, but when you're this invested in the characters, you still worry, because they're really that special.

Read this book. You have to. Not just because I'm telling you to, but because it's just that good!
