Masashi Kishimoto (岸本斉史 Kishimoto Masashi) is a Japanese manga artist, well known for creating the manga series Naruto. His younger twin brother, Seishi Kishimoto, is also a manga artist and creator of the manga series O-Parts Hunter (666 Satan) and Blazer Drive. Two of his former assistants, Osamu Kajisa (Tattoo Hearts) and Yuuichi Itakura (Hand's), have also gone on to moderate success following their work on Naruto.
Kishimoto's first work as a manga artist was Karakuri (カラクリ?), which he submitted to Shueisha in 1995. This earned him the Weekly Shōnen Jump's monthly "Hop Step Award" in 1996, granted to promising new manga artists. This was followed in 1997 by a pilot version of Naruto (NARUTO-ナルト-), published in Akamaru Jump Summer. In 1998, Kishimoto premiered as a Weekly Shōnen Jump artist with a serialized version of Karakuri in Weekly Shōnen Jump, but it proved unpopular and was canceled soon after. In 1999, a serialized version of Naruto began publication in Weekly Shōnen Jump and quickly became a hit.

I am really loving this series so much. It's changing my perspective on life. Let people say whatever they want. I want to live for my dreams. Naruto, you came at the right time to fire up my dreams. This fire won't burn the wings but fuel them to fly up high ✌️👈👈
The big chase, filled with resolution, sacrifice, and creepy Gaara, while back at home, the third is fighting for his life and putting it all on the line.
Solid volume, even if it doesn't have any truly fantastic revelations in it. It's all about the build up and the action, now.
Not bad, not bad at all. The duel between Orochimaru and the Third Hokage became quite interesting quite quickly, with Enma, undead ninja, and the god of death. Orochimaru's backstory gets fleshed out a bit more and now he becomes accordingly a slightly more convincing villain. Sarutobi's motivation and values get to shine here, and while somehow that found/chosen family feeling was conspicuously absent from Naruto's childhood, I didn't mind that slight retconning all that much ;). Still, I seem to have a soft spot for old grandpas whose hearts and minds are stronger than their bodies. Go, Sarutobi! ;)
Well, the main attraction in the volume was the fight of current Hokage (the third) with the previous Hokage (the first and the second). They were all immensely powerful and had a very unique style of fighting. Meanwhile, Sasuke caught up to Gaara and Shino is in the way of Kankuro. There are three main battles going on side by side which I can't wait to see conclude.
I have always said that Orochimaru vs Hiruzen is the most underrated fight in this series. So, so good from start to finish. When I said underrated, I don't mean the best. Either Naruto vs Sasuke or Sasuke vs Itachi takes that spot. I simply mean it is the one that never gets talked about for some reason. It's one of the best.
In just one volume, The Third Hokage delivers such a powerful message through his action. Just to see two powerful ninjas going at it is so rewarding, but then the story conveys such complex characterization and invites us to look at how one's belief in someone can shatter them forever.
The story is hectic with plenty of different confrontations occuring around Konoha, but the build-up remains perfect.
the third dying in part to protect Sasuke from Orochimaru is so funny considering that he's the one that ordered Sasuke and his entire family killed during the Uchiha massacre.
Naruto is the only only manga I am currently reading, not because I don't like the other stories but because I am hooked with this ninja world that I thought it is a crime to navigate away from this manga series when it is not yet finished. I actually re-read again all of the chapters and volumes just to remind me of the jutsus (techniques), names and thrilling actions and learning.
This volume is one of the best that Sir Kishimoto has written. The battle between a sensei (teacher) and his student is an extraordinary occurrence. Although the Third Hokage died at the end of the battle, he still won. Why? Because he didn't fight for his own good nor of fame and supremacy but out of his love for his village men, for the community of Konoha (Hidden Village of Leaf). I do not imagine things away from what Sir Masashi creates because his masterpiece alone feeds my fantasies. I thank him for designing such great manga series, for it entertained me and at the same time make me learn a lot of good things such as friendship, courage and sacrifice.
Konaha is still under attack and things are not looking good for the village. The battle between Orochimaru and Third Hokage intensifies as the Third Hokage has to make a choice one he should have made a few years back. The match is so intense and one I still remember to this day from the show because he really goes to show you how great of a leader Lord Third is. Naruto, Sakura, and Shikamaru are still on Sauske and Garaa's trail but run into some roadblocks along the way. No one is safe yet.
The end of 2020 is near and I am squeezing in the last manga volumes - will I be able to finish the whole series or at least half of it by then?! Stay tuned! We follow several narratives: Orochimaru vs. Sarutobi, the pursuit for Sasuke who is in turn pursuing Gaara, Shikamaru vs. the 9 shinobi, Kankuro vs. Shino. Volume 14 begins, or should I say continues, where the previous volume left off - Orochimaru has used the reanimation justu to summon the 1st & 2nd Hokage, brothers and founding fathers of Konoha! This forbidden jutsu is very nostalgic but also relevant towards the story, so don't forget it! Pakkun, Sakura, Naruto and Shikamaru are pursuing Sasuke, but are in turn pursued by 9 of Orochimaru's shinobi. Master strategist Shikamaru decides their only viable option is for him to remain behind and work on a diversion-detainment since his shadow-paralysis technique fits the role best. He ends up being overwhelmed, but Asuma shows up in the nick of time and we get to see briefly what his skills are like. Honestly when you think about it, the battle between Sarutobi and the two summons is more profound than its first impression - it's a deliberate double sensei versus student. I'm ashamed to admit that because I watched the anime 10 years ago I honestly did not remember how this battle developed. No wonder the ending was depressing - three versus one is not an honorable fight, but neither is revenge an honorable pursuit to begin with. Despite being the antagonist, Orochimaru remains an extremely fascinating character with a pretty classic pursuit: eternal life at any cost. However, this pursuit is only the external, supportive one. The actual core pursuit is ultimate knowledge. At heart, he is a scientist, albeit a twisted one. The art of immortality is a transference technique, ultimately at the mercy of acquiring vessels for replacement. Sarutobi realizes almost immediately what Sasuke is being pursued for. He then decides to use the Death Reaper Seal jutsu on the 3 opponents in exchange for his life, a jutsu invented by the 4th to seal the Nine Tails. I think this was one of the most complex and revealing volumes yet, but I'm sure there will be more like it, as Naruto is a story that is sitting on a very wide and solid foundation.

Woahw!! This volume is crazy dope, I was desperate and curious to find out more and more about what was in the upcoming pages. It keeps you hooked with the suspense and intensifies your eagerness to unravel the further happenings, twists, turns and pushes you to reach out to the ending and leaves you with an craving for the next volume. ☺️✌🏻😍.
This volume 13 was a little bit complex. There are some magics which I have never seen from 1st volume. In addition, another battle was dead heating. I was attracted the battle of third Hokage and Orochimaru. I thought that finally the Hokage went to the end. The story reached climax! Also, one of the my favorite characters, Shikamaru showed his smartness.
