When Castor was captured by demons and forced to fight for his life in the underworld, he never expected to be rescued by a water dragon wielding a katana. He also never expected for that dragon to turn out to be his destined mate.

Too bad he has no time for romance right now. With the son of Lucifer building an army, Castor and his half-angel brothers are busy trying to stop the end of the world. But his attraction to Kyo is magnetic, and as the personification of Greed, he’s never been good at denying himself anything.

A trip to Greece brings Kyo and Castor closer in more ways than one, and neither man can fight their soulmate connection. But with a war on the horizon and enemies at every turn, will that connection be broken?

Book 2 in the Sons of the Fallen series featuring a smart-mouthed Nephilim and a dragon who loves picking on him, hot island nights, and seven warriors cursed with the deadly sins. Each book features a different main couple, but the series must be read in order. HEA guaranteed.

“I promise not to let you go,” Castor once said as he carried me through the night sky, stars above us and water below.
“I’ll hold you to that promise.”

You know the books you read that are fun but nothing serious or ground breaking but you still read it because you’re like “fuck it, at least it’s not boring”? That’s this series for me.

I read Galen a while back and thoroughly enjoyed it with its steam and fluffy moments. Castor was no different. I definitely like this one more than the first book, it played with my emotions a lot more and that’s something that the first book didn’t deliver.

Castor aka Greed and Kyo were two very dominant men who grew vulnerable around each other and I’m a slut for that trope. Just like book one, here we have an insta-lust: our characters had a friends with benefits / fuck buddies arrangement with no strings attached until a trip to Greece changed everything for them. Castor grows to realise that Kyo is his mate but is dévaster to find out that Kyo is to marry someone else.

There’s a lot of jealousy in this but it was one I didn’t mind because it wasn’t one that lead either of the MC’s to make stupid decisions. One aspect I really admired was that they had honesty between them since page one. That is until Kyo hid the fact that he’s engaged.

“unknown number: Hey. It’s Kyo. I got your # from Si.
Me: I knew you couldn’t stay away ;)
Little Dragon: Don’t get cocky. I’m at the club and horny af. Come fuck me before I find someone else.
Me: On my way. Keep your pants on until I get there.”

There’s so much politics in this book. Especially with all the enemies they’re facing and with forming new allies. There’s a lot of talk of clans and other bullshit that I skipped because i couldn’t be bothered.

But I’m giving 4(3.75) stars here purely for the relationship. They had fun and emotional moments that gripped me through the entire book.

“I still have your necklace.”
“Keep it.” Castor’s voice was rough, thick. “It’s a reminder that even when you’re married to him, you’ll still be my little dragon.”

I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. AHHHHH ITS A MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE BETWEEN DAMAN (aka edit : Daman is Envy not lust ) AND WARRIN (literally an ice prince)!!!!

"His green eyes sparkled like rare gems. He had spent his life chasing down all the riches in the world, never once seeing that he was the most precious thing of all."

Ahh!!! Am not feeling this right now so am just gonna stop re-reading this series. I don't wanna ruin this series for myself just because I wasn't in the mood to read it. It's too late for Castor but Daman and Warrin are the loves of my life so I wanna keep them that way.

I'll honestly never forgot how this book made me FELL out of my chair.

Honestly, I'm amazed at this book. Because WOW did I not like it in the beginning. Okay, I wouldn't say dislikebecause that was too harsh, but more on the lines of, I wasn't getting attached/invested to the characters. Normally, that isn't a con for me, I don't have to get attached to the characters to appreciate the story.

But since I loved book 1, and grew attached to the couple and then towards my cursed Nephilim warriors, I expected this, to be honest, better. This is my honest opinion.

I just wasn't a fan at the insta connection that grew from the start of this book, like I said, I feel like there's more leeway and tolerance when it comes to insta love in paranormal but even I was feeling a bit eh at their romance at beginning.

Good saving grace. I don't know where, I don't know what, I don't know WHY, I don't even how but I somehow got attached to this couple and their romance that was so sought out for, that my dumbass self low-key cried at one of their moments and my heart ached for these two characters. NO SPOILERS but Damn. DAMN.

“Say the word, and I’ll move heaven and earth to find you.

→ my bestie Llakshmi came in with the clutch and we both died together at THAT chapter and we were so pathetic, I loved it.

💨 I feel like you'll either like this book, tolerate it because of the beautiful cast of characters or hate it and suffer until the end.

At the beginning, what I tolerated the most was the cast of characters. I love the plot of this series which is humbling to say because I don't like plot based books. I tolerated just for my my lonely leader, my teddy bear chef, my brooding lil' diva, my sleepy snail, my cheeky ass goofball, and the human and his beast. (If you know, YOU KNOW).

I love this family of cursed half angels and all of their inner problems and them sharing and meeting the other part of their soul throughout the series. It's beautiful, it's magnificent, it's everything. They were my saving grace for continuing to trudge through this book and the overarching plot was magnificent was behold.

Yet somehow along the way, I was captivated by Kyo and Castor.

When his arms came around me, a bit of my heart chipped away. I was no stranger to fire, yet Castor’s touch burned me. The flames seeped into my skin and shot through my veins, setting every part of me on fire. Body and soul.

I don't know why, But Jaclyn Osborn has to be a hopeless romantic because the love she writes? The connection she creates that bonds two characters together? The way she crafts two pieces of a puzzle and brings both of them together and wraps a soulmate in disguise, I am at lost for words.

“My whole world is right here in my arms,” my father had once said as he held me and my mother.
That’s exactly how I felt as I held Kyo. Protecting him, loving him, meant more to me than anything else. He wasn’t just my world. He was the moon, the stars, and everything else in between.

I think, just like book 1, these two and their love story, caught up to me and captivated me in the end.

Because If me screaming at the screen for the past 10 minutes when I finished this book isn't adoration, then I don't know what is.

I might be thousands of years old, but I still have a fucking heart.

What I also loved about this book:

- the talk of The Good, the hero, the mighty, and The Bad, the villain, and the evil being.

I absolutely loved Castor's backstory from this book. It was heartbreaking, it was beautiful, and it was a moment to behold.

““That’s the thing about power,” Castor said. “Once you get a taste of it, you want more. Same with other things, I suppose. Sex, money, power, all of it coincides. It tempts even the strongest of men. Many stories talk about how heroes are faced with these vices, and their resistance is what constitutes their victory. Giving in leads to their downfall. That always stuck with me.”
“Why?”
“Because my brothers and I are the embodiment of the seven deadly sins. Our very existence says we’re villains. That we’re evil. Yet, we’ve dedicated our entire lives to protecting mankind. So where do we fall in the great scheme of things?”

The discussion of: How you can love someone and still hate their actions. How sometimes the villains aren't that cruel and the heroes aren't that good. How life and people as we know it, isn't always black and white. How sometimes the good is never enough and our mistakes and cruelty are highlighted instead.

There's so much that could be uncover within the text and in-between the lines and I wanted to marvel at the way it was written. I love villains, it's no shock to anyone and I love that the author decided to incorporate that message within the book.

To the world, my father had been a villain, someone who’d slain innocent people. But to me? He’d been my hero.
How very thin the line was between the two.

My ranking of the couples
2. Castor and Kyo
1. Galen and Simon

My ranking of my Nephilim Warriors:
7. Gray
6. Castor
5. Galen
4. Raiden
3. Bellamy
2. Alastair

“It’s just sex between me and Red. Nothing more.”

famous last words.

I gotta admit, neither Castor and Kyo as characters nor their romance or the overall plot was particularly thrilling or exciting in this one. Idk, there were certain parts that were missing for me like shouldn’t there be some resemblance between the embodiment of greed (Castor) and a species that is known for hoarding shiny and valuable things (Kyo)? I can imagine some serious fun in exploring that fact, especially with Kyo working for Simon in his antique shop. Also I was hoping for a little more DRAGON stuff on page, yk?!

Overall tho, especially with the last part I count this as having had a good time still so I’m rounding up to four stars (and bc of the audio.)

The most interesting thing to me was that Kyo got betrothed by his older brother to a prince of the ice dragon clan to forge an alliance - and that this prince turned out to be Warrin, who I knew already would be Damon’s love interest - and therefore how it came to be that the arrangement was cancelled.

And now I’m super excited to start the book that seemed to be the most favorite amongst my mutuals. Let’s go. ♡

Returning for book two was a no-brainer for me, having thoroughly enjoyed Galen, the first novel in Osborn’s Sons of the Fallen series—an M/M paranormal series which follows seven half-angel immortal warriors, each imbued with the sin of their fallen-angel fathers, who fight to keep humanity safe from evil.

This second book follows Castor, the embodiment of Greed, as he and his brothers become further immersed in the impending battle against Lucifer’s son, Asa, and his growing demonic army that wish to destroy/enslave humanity.

For the most part, this story sees Castor and his brothers attempting to recruit warriors to their most worthy cause, seeking out alliances with distant Nephilim (half-angel) groups and dragon clans who are trying so desperately to remain neutral.

All the while, Castor grows significantly closer to water-dragon, Prince Kyo—best friend of Simon, Galen’s human mate from book one.

Castor and Kyo are hot and heavy from the start, hooking up initially for fun, before circumstances quickly shift and romantic feelings grow immeasurably. The emotional bond comes after the sexual bond here, which usually wouldn’t be my preference, but these two are just so effortlessly good together, sharing an insane chemistry that just read right for me.

I had a lot of fun with Castor’s story. I enjoyed the romance a lot, which had a significant roadblock thrown in halfway to cause some delicious tension. I especially liked their banter and playful style of communication, which was welcomed in the face of such dangerous circumstances. They were serious when they needed to be, but I appreciated the levity this pairing brought to the larger story… because I get the feeling things are just going to get darker and more dire before long, so I'll take the happy moments where I can.

I love each of the brothers the more page time we spend with them, making me giddy and eager to get to each of their stories in turn. At the moment, it’s a real toss up as to whether Gray or Raiden are my favourite, but I get the feeling this will chop and change as the series moves along.

For now, this series is most appreciated for the sexy and soulful romantic connections these centuries old angel-warriors are making, and also, increasingly so, for the fantastic battle scenes that take place at the height of each story—holy shit, that beach scene! Gah!!

Needless to say, I’m loving this series a lot and I can’t wait to read on!

Castor picks up right after book one with our half-angels dealing with the aftermath, while also looking for more allies in the conflict with the demons.

Following Castor, who's inflicted with the deadly sin of Greed, and Kyo. Kyo as we learn in book one

This one was a bit lacking compared to book 1. While I liked Castor and Kyo's romance, I found myself a bit bored with the plot. Hopefully book 3 picks back up in that regard.

Sons of the Fallen

Book 1: Galen - 4 stars
Book 2: Castor - 3 stars
Book 3: Daman - 4.5 stars
Book 4: Gray - 2.5 stars
Book 5: Bellamy - 3.5 stars
Book 6: Raiden - 4 stars
Book 7: Alastair - 4 stars
Book 7.5: Beyond the Storm

~3.5~

I didn't like Castor's story as much as Galen's for a few reasons:

- Wrath is a more compelling sin than Greed, and Galen's angry, vengeful nature played a big part in the first book. Castor's sin wasn't particularly interesting. Heliked shiny trinkets; so what?

- Castor and Kyo's relationship was based more on lust than emotions. Their love languages were sex and banter, so their connection rang shallow.

- The plot, which focused on the brothers attempting to form an alliance with other Nephilim, was lackluster.

But you know what's cool?

Dragons!

Water dragons.

Ice dragons.

ALL THE DRAGONS!

Rounding up to 4 stars, because I'm loving this series and cannot wait for Bell's story.

Though not quite as good as Galen and Simon’s book, I had a great time reading this - including some choking up around the end.

I mean - I really liked Kyo in book 1. He’s Simon’s tattooed, badass friend who turned out to be a (water) dragon prince, and who helped free both Simon and Castor from the Underworld.

He’s attracted to Castor (and vice versa), and when Kyo’s brother, the Water Dragon King, turns up to tell Kyo that he’s supposed to marry a prince from that clan of the Ice Dragons to help seal a peace treaty, Kyo joins Castor and his brothers on their journey to ally themselves with other Nephilim, knowing that he’s on borrowed time until the wedding takes place.

So they journey, first to Greece, then to the Carribean, and they have a lot of sex. I mean - it wasn’t that I was a bit bored, but I just let it flow around my me, and I didn’t get very involved with both characters and plot - that is, until things got dicey and the big showdown started to take place.

That, my dear friends, was when I actually started to shed a tear or two while listening, that that’s the main reason I’m rating it with 4 instead of 3 stars (I know you’ve heard it before from me, but NJR is one hell of a narrator, pulling you in until you’re extremely immersed emotionally ❤️)

The plot felt a bit like an “in between” book, a setup for upcoming pairings - and for the upcoming battles. But still, there’s a lot of wonderful pining, well written action scenes, and some VERY interesting side characters (looking at you, Phoenix 🔥)

Onward to Daman’s book, whom I think might be the most interesting brother 🥰

This series is... not particularly well written, well plotted, nor are the characters particularly interesting, and yet, I will very likely read them all. LOL

I continue to think the concept is cool, but the execution is weak at best. This book had SO much sex, to the point of boring and unnecessary--so much of it felt the same and if *I'm* getting bored with a sex scene, you've got a problem. I honestly wasn't interested in either character nor their relationship hinted at in the previous book and, sure enough, this book didn't really sell me on them and I was far more interested in the two pairings hinted at for future brothers' books. The plot, what little there is, has advanced here a bit, and part of why I keep reading is because I think there's so much going for these books in terms of concept that I'm reading for the glimpses we get of it. That being said, I'm definitely more interested in the relationship in the next book, and I'll likely at least read that one and cross my fingers.

I cannot put in words how much this is entertaining. how much i’m addicted.

I was grinning and then sobbing. yeah a crazy ride.
Ok I assume at the firsts chapters I was kind of meh but OH MY GOD it got so good as it went on. i loved kyo and castor together. even though it was more instalove than the first book.

I'm just even more in love with the world, with politics, with the building of the characters, EVERYTHING.

AND THE NEXT ONE IS ARRANGED MARRIAGE!!!!
and I won't even start talking about bellamy and that one (which I won't name because spoilers). I'm SO EXCITED to their story.

Went through an entire rollercoaster of emotions with this one. The one thing I need to say this, this book redefined yearning, angst and pain. You think you know angst. And then yOU READ THIS BOOK!

Castor and Kyo were ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE for their part. From the sexy, sassy, sometimes jealous banter to yearning for each-other, loving each other, back-talking to each-other and finally unifying their very essence to each other.

Tbvh, I like Kyo's back-story more than any other Dragon related information that was given. Though, yes, I sometimes it was confusing for me to understand who was narrating the story, because the voices of both Castor and Kyo were very familiar. (This story has dual POV)

I loved watching Alastair grow more into his role of leader. And I hope that's a new romantic start for Raiden. God knows he deserves his own happily-ever-after with loads of food and an ADORABLE-AS-FUCK SOULMATE! Grey of course was my adorable little baby, and I would hand over the entire universe to him, just to see him smile.

The plot was definitely more detailed and I'm looking forward to seeing more of Sirena and her group of fierce women (Maybe she'll kick Asa's ass ;)) as well as Bexter, though I wish he grows up a little.

ALSO PLEASE SOMEBODY INFUSE LAZARUS WITH MORE EMOTION OR I MIGHT PUNCH HIM THROUGH THE PAGES!

The ranking order thus far:
Raiden.
Gelan.
Grey.
Castor.
Bellamy💙
Daman😩

Great addition to the series!

This is such a fantastic take on the embodiment of the seven deadly sins. I love how each of the characters are distinct (I’m dying for Gray’s book), and the balance between action and banter and smexy times is great. I’ll definitely be reading the others!

4.5⭐️ - I don’t know why but I wasn’t expecting to feel so much emotion with this book. It really had me shook! The passion between Castor and Kyo was so freaking hot! The banter and resistance to their feelings was such a good lead into them being completely in love with each other. We got so much of them together and I loved for those parts!

I love how the bigger overarching plot was interwoven and gave us new characters. It’s tense and exciting - it also has me scared about who will die next!

I am loving this series!!

Nick J Russo really makes these books!

Castor and Kyo were good together but my god they needed to grow up a little bit haha. For being 100’s and 1,000’s of years old they should have been able to figure out how to get out of their situation sooner haha or at least talk about things like grown ups…? Haha

But really I am excited for Daman’s book! Soo NJR hurry up with that narration haha 😂

I absolutely love this series. I love all the guys interacting together, how Jaclyn has written all the personifications of the seven deadly sins. I love that they all do have their sins but they truly care for each other.

I love Kyo and Castor together, they were fun and snarky and had great chemistry together.

I continue to love Gray (adore him so much! And cannot wait for his story!) And I love all the camaraderie between them all. I feel like I can see like the first beginnings of future pairings getting set up for later. I can't wait for more.

I loved Castor and Kyo. Especially Kyo's penchant for topping from the bottom😉. I also loved the fact that while Castro might be over a thousand years old he wasn't afraid to be upfront about his feelings. I respect that.

I was really looking forward to Daman's book but that one certain innocent confession his soon-to-be husband made is giving me second thoughts, so I hope it ends up surprising me.

*spoiler* I also have a feeling it's going to be Bell x Phoenix at some point in the series, and boy am I looking forward to that pairing.

(La portada me parece fea y creo que no hace justicia. Lo siento).
Objetivamente: 2 estrellas.
Subjetivamente+entretenimiento: 4 estrellas.

“The darkness is such a lonely place to be. Fortunate that I have a little flame to make my days brighter”.

“What do you believe in, little dragon?”.

Is this a good romance? Yes absolutely. However, this is a romance between a half Angel carrying the sin Greed and a fucking dragon. Where is the absolute HOARDS of trinkets? Gold? Shiny things? Etc?!?!?! I’m so fucking annoyed. Greed barely even makes an appearance here with Castor, unlike in book one where Wrath in Galen was a constant presence. Does Kyo soothe Greed like Simon soothed Wrath? Who knows.

Regardless, it’s a very enjoyable romance and the overarching plot of Lucifer’s son coming back from …hibernation? And trying to take over the world is always entertaining. Kyo and Castor have tons of chemistry and their story is very emotional. I hated having to break to make dinner. There are things here and there (like Kyo’s brother) that bothered me but not enough to diminish my enjoyment.

"You're special to me. More so than anyone else."

I'm gonna admit, the first part of the book I had a tough time connecting with Kyo. For me he was the kind of MC where you just don't know enough about to like him. I kept trying to like him, but something was missing. From the other hand, since the very beginning of the book I loved Castor!

"I was reckless. Obsessed with escapism, whether that be in the form of fast cars or the light-headedness that came from intoxication, gambling, and sex."

Yep, this is our boy Castor. After all he is the sin of GREED. But he is way more than that. He is a bit reckless, but kind and always goes after what he wants. Even though he was hurt, he wasn't afraid to say what he felt for Kyo and I LOVED THAT! I'm not a big fan of books where the MC just refuse to admit what he is feeling, but luckily this wasn't the case here.

In Galen we had insta-love, here we had insta-lust. And I really liked how Castor and Kyo's relationship progressed from lust to way more!

In the beginning of the book we see how Castor is struggling because of what he went through in the Underworld in the previous book. My heart ached for him! At first it was a little bit slow for me, but it pick up and I couldn't put the book down. Kyo grow on me and I started to really like him. Also his connection with his brother and how it progressed warmed my fucking heart! ❤️
In the next moment, suddenly there were so many things happening and I couldn't believe some of them!!! You're in for a big ride! I couldn't put the book down and of course one of the best part was the 7 brothers!!! THESE BOYS ARE EVERYTHING!

I have to mention that my heart broke in so many parts of this book! For me it was way more emotional and heart breaking than the first book (Galen). This book is full of feelings and of hidden between the lines meanings. And the best part is everyone will see and understand the message between the lines in a unique way. For me it was that we often use escapism in order to make our brain stop obsessing over things in the past or even in the present. We fight our way through hardships doing our best, even if sometimes it's just the escape that holds us together and it's okay. Also the villain in the story is not always he villain. Sometimes he is the hero and the villain at the same time.

This being said, one of the best parts in this book was the relationship between Castor and his father! In a way it was the HIGHLIGHT of this book! I don't think the book would carry the same feelings if not for every memory we got to see. I didn't expect Castor and his father to have this kind of relationship so I was really surprised!

"But what if I fall?"
"Then you'll fall." He squeezed my shoulder and softly smiled. "The important thing is getting back up, dusting yourself off, and trying again as many times as takes."

Some of my favorite quotes:
"You're such a rare creature. You can switch from sweet to vulgar so fast."

True, true, true!

"Mine. That possessive urge to claim him was overwhelming."

Oh did I mention my favorite part!? Of course it's the possessiveness!!!

"Every time I get close to someone I end up loosing them."

My heart!!!!!!!! 🥺💔

"I promise not to let you go." My words hit me in the chest. I had only meant them in reference to flying, but the truth of them burrowed deep in my core.
Kyo turned his face into my neck. "I'll hold you to that promise."

Ranking of my favorite Nephilim warriors after reading Castor:
7. Gray
6. Raiden
5. Galen
4. Castor
3. Bell (on 3rd place, only because of THAT scene, if you know, you know 😂)
2. Alastair
1. Daman

This is a tough one!!! I'm struggling with this ranking!!!!! I love them all!!!

I’m not usually into fantasy although this sits in the paranormal shifter world as well but I love this series. It’s like the tv show Supernatural but in book form. I never thought I’d like that show either but the humor reeled me in kind of like this series did and then add in fuck hot angel warriors and their fated mates and I’m swooning. This one has a dragon shifter which is my favorite shifter 💗 Kyo. I went into this thinking Castor was Pride only because I associate the color red with it for whatever reason but no he’s greed and I adored him.

This is a series that needs to be read in order. Each book has a different couple and while their story wraps up completely, the ongoing story line continues into the next book. I loved Castor and Kyo together. I didn’t expect Castor to be such a sweetheart because he came off as a greedy fuckboy in the first book but after what happened in the demon underworld he’s a bit lost and Kyo turns out to be just what he needs. I was so into their relationship that parts of this actually made me cry. 😭 It was heartbreaking at times. Daman is up next and I’m already intrigued. Gray is still my favorite though 💗

Did the last few chapters of this book bump up its rating from a 4 to a 5 star? Yes , yes it did. Going into this one I didn’t think i would love it as much as i loved Galen but i did😭 oh my poor poor Castor😩. So glad they got their HEA.
Again I would strangle Lazarus. He’s begging for it at this point🙂
My babies are just going through shit all the time😭😭

GRAY (because i will fall at his feet too🥹🩷 such cuteness)

THE SCENE
Daman gaped at him. “Why the fuck do you want to marry me?”
“Because you’re the most beautiful,” Warrin answered
